Thanks Jake, I figured if people are going to watch these videos of pottery, they probably would come here for tutorials and it would be helpful to have explanations.
Amazing! I’ve been trying this but not with the air gun maybe I’ll try a blow pot? Can you explain more about the clear going onto the green vinyl and why you need that? I’ve been trying it with stickers but I can get it to stick well enough to get crisp lines and see text. Does the clear stuff help to press it on? Versus just peeling the vinyl off and sticking it on by hand?
I had to watch it twice as I couldn't believe how that vinyl was working to apply the design and turn into a decal...great tuto! Where do you get the vinyl? The one I have is from HD and is for protecting shelves...don't know if it will work. Thanks !
Thanks! I use the permanent adhesive vinyl for the silhouette machines. There is a brand called Oracle that is really good. You can get the material at any craft store or on amazon. I haven't tried any other vinyls but I think the key is the adhesive being strong enough. Keep me posted on how it works out for you!
you have such a gift! Thank you for sharing your process and your sweet little one is super cute!
I really like your glazing results. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Sooo sick!!! Wow!
So cool to find a technique that you love and already have the equipment to do it!
For sure! The hardest part was the cleanup hahhahah
Love those results! The spray application is fantastic and the resist method is so versatile.
Thank you! I really like these a lot
I just love your work & willingness to experiment! Wonderful pieces!!! Great video
Thanks Rag! Like to keep my studio interesting between batch works. Appreciate the kind words.
Awsome end result and great job explaining the process!! 👍👍👊

Did you apply wax after peeling off the vinyl?
Nope, the vinyl was acting as the resist and the glaze I chose did not move much in the kiln so I didn't need to add anything else. Thanks for asking!
Those came out great, nice work 👍
Thank you, I'm so happy they turned out!
Awesome work Heidi! 😍👌🏻👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you so much Fred!
Great job! With the pieces as well as the video! You're a BAMF
Thanks, babe :)

Thank you! I really love how they feel too. There is a bit of texture on the surface.

You just cranked up to 11. They turned out great and I bet that spray gun is going to save you a bunch of time on your production runs.
Hey thanks Tim! I appreciate that :)
