I’m glad to be a part of an era to see a better progression of music from the 1980s to about 1997. Hip hop and R&B had a better production sound back then. Now you hear is what I call bounce music. Not all of today’s music is unlistenable but there are some gems out there. I’m willing to predict that in another fifty years music will be restored to its once stately glory.
Women were actually pretty not using 200 camera filters, no excessive make-up, no big weird butt surgery natural bodies, music was good brothers were actually rapping and you understand what they're saying they are actually dancing clothes were actually stylish and not ridiculous
Whatever happened to dance shows like this? You don't see them on TV nowadays. From the 70s to early 90s you could find some type of dance show on TV. Did the dance vibe change in America at some point?
The women in the video were so beautiful especially the woman at 0:25 (goddamn sexy) and at 1:30 (sexy af) too both wearing black and great dancing too, especially the first woman, the guy at 0:36, the guy at 0:51, the guy at 1:18 and the guy at 1:40 and great song.
Thanks for sharing Derek! Nice job with the variety! I’m looking for a few specific Soul Train tapings. Can you tell me how I can find them? Where did you get the ones you’ve uploaded?
This song and the era of hip hop is the death of soul train. Yes . No one talks about it but women started dressing like gangsters and it was down hill.

@Millennial Smark those people are in their early 20s
Soul train was at least getting their groove back in the 90s but 70s will remain the best and 80s the worst for dancing
This rapgroove ackin cousin with krisskross
This song and the era of hip hop is the death of soul train.
I was doing the shit my preteens
The early 90s was-to me-the "beginning of the end". The music started to get very generic and predictable and...awful.
This song and the era of hip hop is the death of soul train. Yes . No one talks about it but women started dressing like gangsters and it was down hill.
Collective iq in this room is not over 100
