THE BEST PULLED PORK TACOS EVER! I just did this recipe yesterday for a New Year’s Eve party. The only thing different I did was after shredding pork, I added Goya Adobo all purpose seasoning with Cumin… I went kind of light with it.. it was phenomenal! Thank you Malcolm!
Just put on a HUGE dinner using your recipe. Marinated for 18 hours then smoked 4 Boston Butts on a pellet grill. It was a sweet kick back kind of day with a total cook time of right around 8 hours. That Chipotle Sour Cream Sauce was ridiculously good! Be sure to really mash up those chipotle peppers real good. Massive hit! Thanks Malcom!
I did this exact recipe last weekend, OmG “ Flavor town”…. I will be buying another pork butt this weekend and perfecting this dish even more, Carnitas are my fave taco, delish, thanks so much!! ….I marinated mine 36 hours, so tender
I recently started watching your UA-cam channel and I am truly impressed by your knowledge of barbecuing. You have given me several ideas on how to proceed when I actually get a smoker. Thank you for the good material and keep up the good work.
I love the old Malcolm Reed videos! I've done this recipe several times, and it's absolutely delicious. It's July 4th, and I've had a pork butt marinating overnight for pork tacos tonight. This is such a great recipe. Don't forget the can of Chipotle peppers to marinate this in. It gives it a super delicious and spicy kick. This is definitely one of my favorites for tacos!
I have made these for my crew at work about a half dozen times. It is the most popular lunch we have! Doing them this weekend for a 2 year olds birthday party. If you make them once you’ll make them often!!
I just subscribed to this channel and already love this guy! I have learned so much in the last week, I am thinking of revamping my entire restaurant menu. Great job, you are an excellent speaker, teacher and inspiration. Keep the videos coming, I may have to send you half my profits!
One of my favorite recipes I keep coming back to! I've got 19lbs of Pork Butt sitting in marinade right now for tomorrow AM. Its gonna be a fun trip to flavor town!!
Man that looks good. I'm doing it next weekend. As a Texan I would go for diced white onion instead of radish and a green jalapeno sauce for that street taco style. I've made carnitas in a crock pot forever. I can't believe I never thought to do it on my smoker. Great video. Your pulled pork recipe changed the way a lot of my friends and family feel about smoking pork. Brisket is king in Texas, but there is no denying a good pork butt.
Came here today looking for a different way to do pulled pork. Thought to myself, “how about some spicy Mexican version?” Found this video and it’s EXACTLY what I was hoping to find. Off to buy the ingredients for the marinade now so I can do the cook on Sunday. Awesome video!!
Hey Malcom - I actually used to live in Albuquerque NM a few different times, and that pork & the flavors you used - On Point! It's such a great idea and another great flavor profile, to smoke the Pork, then baize as you did, for great Carnitas tacos. Another great recipe & video!
it is truly Amazing and a Blessing that howtobbqright has prospered... he does nothing different then anyone that smokes and grills but he has been BLESSED and I am TRUELY happy for him-- and YES sir i use the killer hogs it just makes everything easier-- i can not wait to do competition chicken with him------------
Great video! I've been making the same smoked pulled pork for sandwiches for years. This is the recipe I needed to re-wow my friends and family for the next cookout! Thanks!
Awesome recipe the only thing I do is I cut the Orange juice in half with diet orange soda. Also I use the Tajin seasoning as my main rub it is so delicious, my family didn't say a word during dinner.
Thanks so much! You’re a great teacher! I’d like to try this with a 2.5 Chuck roast I have. Not sure how long I should cook… adjusting for the smaller size!
Hi Malcolm muy buena receta se me hizo agua la boca. ...la voy hacer este fin de semana. ....saludos desde laredo tx. .....Blesses to your family. ...thanks for all your recipes. ....
thank you Mr Reed, both for trying things with a new twist(i also "combo" cook things, like you smoking then braising) and also for just getting it right with the chipotle, but especially the Valentina sauce and corn tortillas. So many people love the idea of Mexican food, but they preconceive it as that taco smell stuff, and as you know, that fast food gunk just aint where its really at.That way it can be enjoyed to its full potential.Nice video as always.
Just put the butt on at 6am after marinating for 36 hours for our Christmas dinner with the family. It looks and smells great. Can't wait till it's done!!! Thanks for the fantastic recipe!!!!
Malcolm Every recipe you have me has been great, looking forward to trying this one out soon. Keep up the good work, these videos have hooked me on smoking!!!
Just finished having this for dinner. Made it exactly per the recipe, including the white sauce. About a 7 hr cook on my UDS. My Mexican wife loves it (but of course it needed salt :) )
I'm going to try this recipe on my next smoked pulled pork cook. I'm questioning the tomato juice towards the end, but I'm going to put my trust in your recipe and go ahead and add it.
Making this tonight! Just put it into my kamado Joe to braise it for few hours - smells so flipping good outside!!! Thank you so much!! I know this will be a killer!!!
I wish i could see how many times I’ve watched this video over the years!😂 the only way i do it! WayyyyGoood! Smoked goodness without the lard!! 😢sorry carnitas snobs😢 fry it after you pull if you want🤷🏻♂️ Luv you Brotha. Cant believe theres actually negative people in these moments. 😎
Man Malcolm you always seize to amaze me,ever since I found you,you always got all things covered bro thanks for the videos and awesome supplies you offer on your website thanks for the great info be keep up the good work
Hey malcolm. Great job my man. I'm mexican yes the recipient is a little off. But great video non the less. Love your videos. Still looks like an awesome recipe.
I see your Penzey's spices love it .. got me some AP, Killer Hogs BBQ rub as well as the Hot BBQ rub for Christmas and I finally used my Penzey's gift card .. locked and loaded amigo, cheers!
Hey Malcom just put my pork butt on the Kamado. It is 22 degrees here in Montana and a light snow falling. Kamado is holding 275 with no problem. Cannot wait for the tacos tonight. Love this recipe.
Thanks for the solid instructions!! And great visuals!! Time for some more flavour town!! I'm still on the fence on getting a Komodo style BBQ (big green egg or similar) but your videos make it seem so simple!!
This recipe is awesome. Did this today 8/4/19 also I put some other meats on my smoker.....Tri tip steak and beef ribs full slab then a 3 pound chuck roast so I can try the chili recipe Malcom has.
@@natedubbeld2470 you think it isn't harmless? Why? Show me one scientific study that shows its adverse effects. And I don't mean the retracted racist study that started the whole MSG scare. Show me some solid science on how MSG harms people. Don't just believe everything...
I followed this process as closely as i could with the tools i had and the meat was not falling apart. It took 5.5 hours to reach 190 degrees during the crusting phase. I did 3.5 hours of braising. I couldnt pull the bone out after 1.5 hours of rest.
You’re not looking to reach 190 degrees on the first part of the cook. Malcolm actually says this. You’re only looking for color. Hopefully you closed the pan really tight with the aluminum foil. This is when you want to bring it to 190 degrees. It’s imperative to keep your grill temp steady. Also, there’s no need to rest it for that.long. Maybe 30 minutes tops. You can also leave the entire pan inside a large cooler while resting. I hope this helps!
"That's flavor town right there...let's go back in" Love it!

Carnitas are braised, pulled then a hand full fried on a pan with oil per order!

Dude, don't think that your vids go unappreciated, thanks for the hard work and different ways of trying to put out a great product in your own home.
I'm making this recipe ASAP. Also, one of my favorite things is when Malcom is talking to himself while he tastes the finished product.
Malcolm I am definitely going to try this because I want to take my family to FLAVOR TOWN!
Looked great. California and Florida versions use pickled red onions in place of radish. In Missouri, we travel to California, Florida, or Texas :)
Great job once again. Great job malcom
