    Hi Leah, Thank you for this tutorial, it was just what I needed. I do have a question. You stated if you want more design to upgrade to QCT 6 Plus. Is there no way to purchase designs and add them to your QCT without upgrading?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  6 місяців тому

      Nope. Importing designs is a QCT 6 Plus and higher feature. The main reason is QCT 6 only allows edge-to-edge quilting. If you imported a design that didn't work edge to edge, it might break something!

    Can you demo how to work through QCT6 plus? I upgraded from basic and it isn't the same. Or at least give me a link for a good tutorial, I couldn't find one. Thanks

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  5 місяців тому +1

      QCT 6 Plus is the same as QCT 5 Beginnings - so any tutorial for QCT 5 Beginnings will work for what you're using now. Also with you software, you can change the level down to QCT 6 at any time to use the method shown in this video.

      I updated to QTC 6 pro but mine doesn’t show edge to edge when it first comes up. Did that come up first on yours?

    Hi Leah - thank you for the video! I had QCT5 Pro and just did my upgrade to 6 Pro. I don't see the new pattern folders for Leah designs or Karla designs. How do I get those?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  5 місяців тому +1

      Their should be a new folder within your QCT called Edge to Edge or E to E. Those are the new designs. You can also change your software level (button lower right corner) to QCT 6 to use this version of the software.

    How do you attach the software to the little rebel? Do you need a special tray for the machine to run on its own.

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  Місяць тому

      QCT 6 was made for the Little Rebel so you just need to add the usual hardware to your frame - the motor plate, drive belts, and tablet bracket are all included with QCT 6 - leahday.com/products/quilters-creative-touch
      The only thing you need in addition is a compatible Windows based tablet and I include my recommendation on the page linked above.

    Did you reload this quilt to sew the right side of this quilt. I’m not following you. Do you have to reload for each row.

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  6 місяців тому +1

      It depends on your frame and your machine. If you have a rolling rail frame and a larger longarm, no, you’ll be able to quilt multiple rows before advancing the quilt.
      On my Little Rebel and the Cutie Breeze frame, I advance the quilt side to side to quilt an entire row, then advance the quilt forward (rolling it up in the coil clamps) to reach the next row.

      Keep in mind that I’m using a Little Rebel in this video. It’s a home sewing machine that looks like a longarm! LeahDay.com/Rebel

    I have a Juki 350 Miyabi longarm on a 7 foot Grace virtuoso frame. Is this the system I would use if I wanted to do computerized quilting?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  7 місяців тому +1

      You will need to reach out to a Juki dealer about this. I’ve had issues in the past with helping customers put QCT on these machines because I’m not a Juki dealer. And I can’t advise on compatibility on this either with this specific machine.

    Leah, is there any advantage to upgrade to QCT 6, we have been using QCT 5 pro with Gold. Six looks basic going backwards from what we are using?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  14 днів тому

      You should update from QCT 5 to QCT 6 so you have the latest features and designs in the program. You'll also have some new tools and features from our latest release.
      Please don't discount the new QCT 6 features! The new QCT 6 base level is AWESOME and you really should use it whenever you're quilting a single design (one row) across your quilt. It's so much faster and easier to pick a design, place and advance, especially on a Hoop Frame. You'll still have all of your QCT 5 Pro + Gold Card features, plus a lot more designs to play with.
      Do keep in mind, this update is just an update - all you have to do is set your software to update and it will bring you up to this latest version. There's no cost for you if you already have QCT 5, so why not? Here's a post with tips on managing your software - leahday.com/blogs/qct/computerized-quilting

    I’m getting a new Grace 21” quilting machine with a 12 foot frame. Do you have a video of how to do the computer operations for a frame that you don’t have to shift the quilt sideways ? Obviously, it has to be rolled down but I’d like to see how it works with a 12 foot frame. Thank you !

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  2 місяці тому

      No, a 12 foot frame only advances the quilt by rolling onto the rails. Rolling rail frames are not Hoop Frames - you do not advance side to side. 130 inches wide is the maximum sized quilt you can load on your frame, and that really is the biggest size quilt you'd ever want to put on a bed!

    We have a Q'NIQUE 21 R with QCT6 AUTOMATION. We are finding that after shut down at night time and entering a set up for a new quilt in the am the machine is sometime very slow. Is there a certain sequence in which to shut down the set up so it maintains its speed in the next morning???

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  4 місяці тому

      I have this setup too and haven't experienced this. I think it's probably your computer tablet running the software. I'd delete as many apps off the tablet as you can and also put it into Airplane mode so it can't automatically update on you while running QCT. Tablets can get tricky with updates and virus scans so check your settings on these things and turn them off or delay for a time you're not using QCT.

    I am so excited to receive my QTC 6 !!! Hubby purchased it as Mother’s Day gift. I m just wondering how long it will take to install the system on my continuum 2 frame?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  4 місяці тому +1

      It takes me usually 1-2 hours to attach QCT to a frame. I'd give yourself plenty of time and also know that you will have lots of additional brackets that you won't need. Either leave them in the boxes or put them all in one box you can use if you change frames in the future.
