"You were wrong, there was grace." The song speaks for itself... the guy has guts to proclaim what most people cower from even typing in a comment on UA-cam. Respect.
Eddie,is giving us chills, not just because he is being true. He's being GIFTED.With the Voice..The Words.. the Power..And he uses skilfully these divine "bridges" to help us travel and get in touch with our Inner-Self.Our CORE.This is a man that respects himself and the intellectuality of his audience. This Artist is Real. And Powerful. GRACE is the Victory of our Better-Self.Not in theory. But in Real Life." every saint used to be a sinner.. every man used to be a child!..I still have faith"
I spent my youth in the 90's litening to their music. As a matter of fact I have their first album "Mental Jewlry" which basically mocks God and I am so surprised to see this... Truly God works in a mysterious way.
I don't agree with the religious overtones, but this is still going in my favourites. Such a strong voice, with depth and conviction. He really believes in what he is singing. A haunting and memorable song.
For anyone that wonders where this singer is from. He's from the wonderfull band called : live. The band itself ended , don't know wich way the other band members moved but yeah the lead singer ( the guy here Ed Kowalczyk ) went solo. Just for those that don't know :) Keep enjoying us with great music Ed !!!
"Everytime I feel the sunshine I thank the Lord up above, for seein’ somethin’ I couldn’t see at all, comin’ down hard the feelin’s all gone, where are we gonna hide? My wings are feelin’ clipped now and all I wanna do is fly." Those are words from his song Grace. Do you honestly think a Hindu would write lyrics like that?
This is an exceptionally well written song and as usual Ed sings this one at his top vocal performance!! truly fabulous lyrics! People should be able to interpret this song anyway they choose. Anything that bring light to a sometimes gray and dark world gets a thumbs up from me :- )
Wow... I thought Live was dead but Ed sounds like he's hitting that original sound that drew me to them in the first place! THIS ROCKS! Mental Jewelry follower. Keep it UP!
.....met 'Him'....Master Daddy Kowalczyk (ha ha) here in Vancouver couple of years ago and made a fool of self, but he was appreciative and got a kiss on the cheek!! (and 'yes' I have washed my face since, haha). Gawd the woman who gets allllll that he 'is' IS just a lucky girlie!
Lyrical and religious content aside, I find that Ed's musical ability has waned over the last decade. It's fair to say that this song falls under the category of "commericalized rock". Clearly, the other members of Live were key in the creation of truly original, interesting, memorable music. Throwing Copper to this? Wow.
Ed's best song since Live's Album "The distance to here".

NOTHING lights me up the way Ed does, whether its with Live or solo. Hes glorious.
I've followed him thru his spiritual journey..he's a child of Almighty God now. Beautiful
Ed is such a bad-ass. Live is one of my all time favorite bands.
Keep bringing the great music Ed!

I miss Live, one of the best bands ever. I'm glad Ed is still making music that ROCKS! Love his album, love this song!
Ed gets it. He always has. In whatever incarnation, Ed is hugely appreciated. Keep the music Alive, Bro. Its earth-moving still.
Freaken awesome! I believe Ed is an Angel in human form to help raise humanity up into the light.
Peace!
This is amazing. I can't wait to hear what the rest of Ed's album will sound like.
every saint used to be a sinner, every man used to be a child... very awesome lyric very awesome song
I love seeing public figures calling out to the Lord in an age of fashionable Godlessness. Fantastic!
OMG he has got it still! The voice, the looks....
Saw him perform in the summer here in SLC. One of THE best performers live (no pun) EVER!
It takes major guts to put your heart out there like this.
One of, if not my favorite singers. Ed really has something about his voice, that lures you in - this guy kicks ass with Live or alone!
