Not a Garmin killer, but it is seriously a stunning looking watch. I am a Polar user but this is definitely the first one in design I like as much as the Grit X Pro, hopefully it will sell well for them, as competition is always good for the market and ultimately for the customer.
I have been a Garmin user for a long time but I also briefly switched to Polar not too long ago. What I liked about Polar is fitspark feature. That is something that Garmin unfortunately does not have. They have something like Garmin Coach but that's only meant for biking and cycling. They also have Daily Suggested Workouts but it is not on the level of FitSpark. Grit X Pro is a great watch and I was considering getting it. I have Fenix 6X pro now but I will be looking at Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2
@@ermin3963 yeah, I like Polar because the metrics line up with the way I feel and whenever I have doubts on resting and recovery they're most of the time spot on. Garmin metrics are for me pretty much overkill, too much info I will not use and I'm paying for it, but surely a hell of a watch for sure.
@Asthbendriel Yes, I know! Garmin has way too many features. Most you can turn off if you don't like it. Polar certainly has its advantages. It's kinda difficult to switch eco systems. I tried that a couple of times, and you end up losing so much money. But oh man, Grit X Pro is an amazing watch, also very beautiful.
It's a Garmin killer in the battery life department, the Enduro 2 being the best all around package for what they offer. The GPS and battery usage on GPS modes is where we start drawing lines.
Another plus with Suunto is the extended guarantee and Excellent after sale service well in South Africa were i'm ftom thats the case no problems or hassles...cant say the same for what i have heard from garmin users and i general on average garmin is way overpriced
Got my Suunto Vertical this week it's a STUNNER Very happy and Impressed to say the least....it has the best battery life on the market and i have seen quite a few videos done where it shows that Suunto has the most accurate gps...polar came in second and garmin only 3rd
@llama307 thank you for letting me know. That's very unfortunate that they did not implement this in their Vertical model. That is one thing that would make me switch from Garmin to Suunto.
I love the Suunto brand, the logo is cool, the material is good. But Software and features are light years behind Garmin. I bought the Suunto Vertical last week, taken by a moment of extreme love for the brand. Upon delivery I opened the box and turned on the watch. After a few seconds I thought I was holding my old 2019 Suunto 9 baro... I returned the package to the sender! I bought a Garmin Enduro 2. End of the story
@@Ivesy85 the suunto vertical in italy costs 799, the enduro 2 costs 960. I repeat that Sunnto is built well ... but the story ends there. I went from suunto 9 baro, to fenix 6 pro and garmin won hands down. the material and details of the enduro 2 are of high quality. for 160 euros of difference on the price, there is absolutely no match. Suunto Vertical is cool and the battery will last a lot, but it should cost no more than 500 euros. these are just my considerations, the important thing is to play sports ;)
No Garmin killer but at least it might give Suunto a chance to survive
Very true!
Anyone else got problem with sleep tracking. Mine won't track my sleep.
Did you set it up on the watch?

That as fun. I hope this watch brings new users to Suunto. Look forward to your take on this. Thanks.

Congratulations, yea they are beautiful.
Very nice! In a future video, can you the screen resolution differences between the 9 Baro and the Vertical. Thanks!
Yea can definitely do that
@@llama307I’m also interested, I have the same 9 Baro Titanium and looking to upgrade. 😬
Give me a day or 2!
Does this watch come with 7-day adaptive training guidance plan such as Sunnto 3 and 5?
No it doesn't

I’m sure you paid nearly twice the price for the enduro 2 for build quality less than the suunto, but you make sure you enjoy all those “features”
