They said it couldn’t run more than 30fps on Series X and here it is the S running nearly 120fps with 720p resolution which proves these Consoles simply aren’t being optimized for maximum performance cause it’s easier for the devs to lock it at 30fps and not have to optimize anymore and all those devs need to be ignored and their games boycotted in order to force them to start fully utilizing the hardware, and putting the effort into maximizing performance……..
These Consoles are capable of 60fps in every single game if the devs actually wanna optimize and put forth the required effort and that’s what it’s all about as some devs won’t do it unless gamers boycott the low frame rate bullshit garbage and once that happens then devs will start giving console gamers the Performance their systems are capable of……..
I refuse to play games at 30fps anymore and literally skip all of them unless or until the devs deliver 60fps

Who can even handle playing at 720p on their 4k monitor??? People are demanding 8k on the ps5 and 60fps. Sony themselves write 8k on the ps5.

AMD just released FSR 3 for them to be able to run at 60 with global illumination.
@@UmmerFarooq-wx4yo The point is we should be able to choose what resolution and fps we want to play on. Some of us can tolerate the game looking a bit shitty. Not everyone is obsessed with graphics and resolutions. It also would be nice to be able to play games on our older TVs which aren't 1440p without having to sacrifice fps because they focused on making it pretty for people with 4K tvs. 60+ fps > 4K

I used my custom settings on my tv because it’s 4k

That 720p mod is mindblowing, apparently SS is GPU-bound most if the time, on the other hand the city scene shows that there is a CPU bottleneck, and nothing but Bethesda can fix that, SS and SX share the same CPU for the most part.
Looks a bit rough, they need to work harder to get it sorted

In true bethesda fashon, leave it up to the community. I cannot understand peoples facination with their games, there was a time around morrowind it felt like magic, even with its issues, but it was acceptable because there werent really any games like it at the time, havnt got much better since. Also bethesda does not deserve credit for allowing these mods, they do it because the they want the community to do their work.
It's pretty embarrassing that Bethesda can't figure out 60fps when Cyberpunk has a 60fps mode on the S.

@CyberClu still based on a last gen game. Regardless...on series s it drops down to the 50s for extended periods of time which is far from ideal.
Not really when you consider that each game focuses on different things and each engine focuses has different features. Cyberpunk set out from the start to be an imsim movie-like game, Starfield didn't.

Consoles have slowly been trying to emulate PC gaming so much that I feel we are at a point now where if it weren't for the current ridiculous pricing of GPU's, I seriously question how much value a current gaming console really has being a "game console". The simplicity argument of consoles is slowly disappearing IMO. What's next for PS5 and Xbox, ReShade?
Simplicity. The people purchasing PlayStation/Nintendo/Xbox consoles want a device they can put under there TV and play - majority of these won’t want to pay double/triple the price for a PC and play at a desk . The console will just evolve at slower pace like iPhones - people will still buy them. That’s my opinion anyway.
I’ve grown up with technology and recently started to look at building a pc and honestly it’s more hassle than it’s worth. I want gaming to be fun not worry about figuring out settings etc

My PC can already run Starfield like this, don't need to buy a Series S.

I use the 1080p mod actually so it increases resolution + Crowd Reducer and a few others, it's great to have so many modding options.
@@OneLastScholar The godrays, shadows, and TAA are the biggest performance hits. You could probably get away with just using those if I had a way to actually test FPS myself I could reccommend what to use better I'm just going by how it feels.

This video didn’t really tell me anything new; I once watched a dump in a public toilet get flushed at 30, 60 and 120 hz and I can confirm there is indeed a noticeable difference.
