These are pretty dope media controllers. I have 2, got them when they hit the streets. I had the 3700s and they worked flawlessly with Serato Scratch Live but they didn't have that feel of a turntable, like my 1200s. That was all fixed with the 3900s. I checked on ebay to see if anyone was selling some and only came across 1. This tells me that those that purchased them are holding on to them or they got rid of them a long time ago. I believe most are holding on to them because Denon (inMusic) stop making them.If InMusic came out with a Denon Midi controller with 9" motorized platters as good as the 3900s I can see people picking those up and getting rid of their 3900s, possibly. The only thing that may sway them to keep the 3900s is the CD option. Yes, people still have CDs and bring them to ceremonies or parties (no request please) for the DJ to play.Just my 2 cents.
I just bought a pair of 3700 off eBay waiting on them arriving excited as been a long time searching for a pair just a quick question I own the 2nd gen iPad Pro wondering if it was possible to use that instead of my iMac with serato will be setting up along side my ddjsx
I had the 3700s which i really liked but i had to sell them as i was using Serato and i had turntables and stopped using cds.I like the 3900s with improvements to the platter and if i could get a pair at the right price i might have two for use in Vienna where space for my gear is a bit tight and i have a cheap pair of turntables but a good pair of 3900s would be better as they would fit better and be more versatile and i might leave my cd collection in Vienna as well as use Serato with them.
Used the 3700's and I couldn't get on with them at all. Totally agree about the rubber start/stop cue buttons were gash! Plus the USB port in the 3700's is in the back of the cdj (I'm pretty sure about this) which is a ball ache ! Prefer my sx to the denons and certainly the pioneer cdjs over the denons.
Lol at reverse button if u wanna listen to demonic messages :D Checkout the theme to the mister Ed tv show with the talking horse, it actually has "demonic messages" if played backwards... I have the vinyl. Cool review. :)
i have one 3900 and the x-1600 both for years, but the internal build of the x-1600 is very well built, the cd player has a good motor and plater offcpurse, only the buildquality of components suck, just like the cd drive and connectors, i bought him as showmodel for 500euro with 3 years guaranty, which offcourse is over, but the cd player has died , but you buy a new one complete with cables for only 130euro and the build inside is plug and play, so i just buy it and with some connector upgrade and it needs some bitumen enforce from the insode, since i know the motor and fun with it, can't be boight for lets say 150euro, though it als works perfect with just a usbdrive.....it doesn't need that cd player, but i just like it more, but the sound ain'tquality offcourse ain t high, but i have a vincent hybrid hifi cd player, so why bother.
Its 2021 and there still the best!!!!!!
