yes and no. you can access the res.pak file on the PC's GamePass files but the save files might be encrypted. So it's doable but possibly more risky. I haven't tried replacing the res.pak yet on GamePass PC version... I've only ever done it before in early access before it was ever in GamePass
Hey man do you know if the mod has to match the exact steam version of the game and is there some way to go back to previous game versions on steam? It seems like almost all mods on nexus have stopped being updated 3:10
Unfortunately I don’t see a way to revert to a previous build on Wartales. I’d personally just try my luck with whatever you get from nexus and go from there. Shiro doesn’t have mod support, and their code is pretty jank, so I wouldn’t be surprised if modders give up with updating mods.

@@h4xnslash900 there were more closer to the original launch last year, but im guessing that modders got fed up with the way the game is coded or how it constantly breaks (or just got bored of the game)
As of now, every mod is a res.pak so the only way to have multiple mods is to rip them open and combine them manually (I highly DONT recommend that) Until official mod support comes out, this is the only way myself and other modders have found.
@@clydian till now "retaled wartales" and "mage dlc mod". Some mods just flat out make the game not launch and others give the message as above.. Im worried its about my computer and not really the mods :(
The only thing I'm looking for is to make the speed of time on the exploration map go slower. Just that, I don't want to run more or faster, but rather slow down time that, in my opinion, is going too fast. Or even a way to modify the corresponding file. Any tip?
anyone know a working way to change faces in-game or character traits. i knew how to do with cheat engine during early access but im at a loss now with full release
@@clydian apparently it's entirely possible with santika's cheat table but it requires the steam version. the Xbox/PC GamePass version is out of date and not fully compatible, no one ever made a table dedicated for it
@@clydian mine either. I don't understand Wartales modding at all. At least with more simpler games like Fallout/TES I can open it in Notepad and tweak some things, but with Wartales when I open res.pak it's full of gibberish.
@@sabnock31 that’s because Shiro Games has its own language it uses for coding, plus it’s half in French. 😂 I worked with Dorim when he made his mod before he took it down and it’s definitely not user friendly.
@@gamercorvo currently you can only put in one ‘mod’ of a game unless you rip code changes from one mod and merge it with another one. This will probably be the norm until someone decides to make a mod to combine mods 😂

I did the same as you, but on Steam it doesn't even want to run the game, I tried with different ones, but nothing
