Btw in an interview Billie did say they will rework the trilogy and make it punk. Great reaction Too 3 songs from this album Coma city Strange days Living in the 20s
@@HowiSpangler absolutely ! I have a 4 year old son and my father passed away last year so it’s really hits hard and on side note you were actually the first person I thought of when I heard the “ ballyhoo” reference I remember our drinker greenday conversation right after you guys played when I come around at brew river years and years ago lol not trying to sound weird or anything just thought I’d mention it lol
@@HowiSpangler thank you so much I really appreciate it please keep doing what you I’m sorry to hit u with a sad story because I know you’re a busy person and this video is a happy one but I just one last thing I’d like to tell you is I’ve recently lost my mother as well and the ballyhoo song “ lost in you “ helped me cope a lot
Omg I loved your video! I have loved Green Day since I was 9 (am now 30) and I honestly feel so defensive of them, so it's so nice to see someone else appreciate them and love them!! I agree about one eyed bastard, it's gonna be SO FUN live!!! I've been replaying it like crazy. I think my favorite right now is look ma no brains, but it might change as I listen to the album more and more!
Cool video but I did want to take this opportunity to ask a question and sing the praises of Shellshock and also a comment/complement on Ballyhoo's music. I listen to full albums, front to back, and never skip a track, not for you guys or any of my other favorite bands. All songs, all albums, always! Speaking of I was listening to Do It For The Money! today and Bad Credit REALLY hit hard for some reason today. That song is a BANGER. I noticed when I saw y'all live a few years ago in Seattle that you didn't play a lot of older stuff. Did you guys ever play Bad Credit live and do you still play it nowadays? I'd love to hear it live, such a bad ass song! And quickly this is how I know Shellshock is a great album. I listened to it recently and then was listening to some other stuff, mainly Rise Against. And Rise Against are AWESOME too, but I still had Shellshock songs playing in my head even when I wasn't actively listening to you guys for that week or so of time. And not just one song, parts of 4 or 5 of the songs. THAT is the sign of a bad ass album! Well done! Sorry for the wall of text. Thanks for making such awesome music!
That's so great Levi! We need more like you spreading the word! Thanks so much for listening. And yeah we used to play Bad Credit all the time back in that era but not anymore though. There are a lot of songs that people don't know and it makes the show weird if we try to play a too many of them in one set. We do try to bring some old stuff back here and there though
4:53 As a musician in a local band, if Tre Cool took my bands beerkoozi like that and used it I'd be so proud😂 Thats honestly really cool to hear that's how they reacted, I've heard so many horror stories of bigger bands just rejecting people's gifts or cds and stuff.
Yeah man, I was stoked 🙌 every time Tre took a swig of his beer I saw my band logo. Yeah they were very nice and patient. My friends’ band The Interrupters have nothing but great things to say about them.
This album is killer. I got into green at age 10. Along with blink 182. Well...i own a bille joe les paul jr for reason. Suzie chapstick is my decompress song on the drive home from work.
I was only 5 months old when 'American Idiot' released, so I'm a very young fan lol but I grew up on Green Day thanks to my sister. I really enjoyed this album, I fuck with Dilemma heavy. Going to see them live in June this year for the Saviors Tour, will be my first ever concert and I am so stoked that Green Day will be my first!
Lmao at the part about meeting Billie Joe! 😂 I did the exact same thing when I met Tom Delonge. All I could muster up was, “dude you saved my life, thank you.”
Dude your reaction to this album was good man, you obviously are a Green Day fan and so am I, I covered only two songs from saviors so far they’re on my channel, if you can check them out I’d appreciate it! You earned a new subscriber❤️
That bit 5 minutes in when you're sweating bullets talking to Billie...I died 🤣
🤣🤣 man it was surreal that I was talking to him face to face ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
@@HowiSpangler and dude I'm downstream. i'm like, Howi Sprangler, you saved my life lol
Great Album! I am really loving Suzie Chapstick!
Yeah I’m a big fan of that track! So smooth and emotional ❤️🔥

Yeah, I'm really happy with it! Proud to be a Green Day fan! 💚
@@HowiSpangler for sure!!! father of all lost me a little, but I'm a huge fan of everything before that and this new record rocks
@MikhailYT yeah I’ve accepted I might not love everything they do but they’ll always be my favorite band
Goodnight Adeline bleeding into Coma City is GENUIS and are my favorite tracks, but this record overall is phenomenal!
Yeah I really love the record! Goodnight Adeline gives me 80s glam metal vibes ❤️🔥

🤣 that’s awesome dude, yeah it’s weird how hard it is to control ourselves on those moments
Amazing album.
💯
I’m a giant fan of Living in the ‘20s, even if it’s just Horseshoes and Handgrenades
Yeah, I like that one as well. The lyrics are great !
Billie Joe is the MAN. Dilemma is my favorite track on the new album.
Such a great song to sing to!
Subbed! This is me to a T. I wish I had met them… at least you got to tell them something…
Thanks for the sub! And yeah, it was very special. So glad I got to talk to them for a minute
I have that mug.
Many, many cups of coffee with this mug 🐢 🙌
