Went to my daughters house and looked over at the auto body shop next door and saw a big panel truck with copperhead wrote on the door. There old equipment van setting there junked out. Long live Southern rock.
Discovered these guys back in time off the movie soundtrack Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man. Had to order in their music as no stores around my area had heard of them. This music was a freaking hit at any bush party!
Before I even read the comments I have to say Zakk wylde SOUNDS just LIKE this guy! so.... I'm wondering.... did Zakk Wylde love this band copperhead? It's like Zakk Wylde took his vocal style from this guy. Am I correct? Does anybody know?
@@jadeegreeley8372 Yes, I found out there were two bands with that name. The Copperhead I was referring to was a San Francisco area band from the mid ‘60s into the ‘70s. They were part of the John Cippolina / Quicksilver Messenger Service circle of musicians and bands. Oddly enough, as your uncle was the drummer in the later Copperhead, my friend Dave Weber left the Boston area and ended up in S.F., drumming for the “first” Copperhead. Very good rack band, hard edged with a bit of ‘Frisco in their sound, and a couple of albums released. They never became a real national act, though, just like the thousands and thousands of really good bands that suffer the same fate. I know how it goes ‘cuz I’ve been in a couple of ‘em!
Not that great. Lyrics are negative and demeaning to women in general. Sounds like something that could have been churned out by a computer if you told it to combine .38 Special and Black Sabbath. "Whiskey State Of Mind" is ten times better.
