Consignment to the moon 🚀 People sell when they’re fearful, prices spike when people are bullish….. GGs you know who to hit up for selling your stuff 🤙🤙
Grateful for this discussion. Never thought that love bombing could be applied to Pokémon market manipulation Perfect example of everything in life can apply to everything in life. Thanks for passing on this wisdom!
This is great insight, especially for those that really don't ponder such topics too deeply. Surprising it's coming from a card store owner, haha. You're a good dude, Mason.
My problem with manipulation is according to those that believe it, EVERYTHING is “manipulated”. When the greninja was rising in price, it was being manipulated. When twilight masq BBs were rising in price, it’s being manipulated. When paldea evolved was rising in price, it was being manipulated. When sword and shield boxes were skyrocketing a year ago, it was being manipulated, and then right after that when the scarlet and violet era boxes were rising in price, they were being manipulated. That’s how they explain everything, and that is their go to, and it is hardly ever true.
I am going to see how my manipulation works on you.... Thumbs up this comment if you think Pikachu on the top shelf should have a $999,999.99 price tag on it 😂
I learned that the amount listed for sale on TCG player isn't very indictive of how many are out there to be sold eventually. Time spiral remastered had 90 boxes listed with 3+ selling a day. 2 years later there are still 90 boxes for sale and the price has dropped.
I know Melanie Ann Karnavas. as a popular crypto experts' people talk about, her transparency in the crypto community speaks for her, I attended her seminar in Brisbane last year.
I think love bombing as manipulation is a stretch. What else someone thinks about a set doesn't effect what I think about a set. I love surging sparks I also love paradox rift. I don't like 151 or darkness ablaze. Just because everyone else love bombs 151 doesn't change my mind that it's not a great set. This is just someone else's opinion.
People need to realise that every collectibles market has manipulation on some level. It's just something you have to accept. An unregulated market will always attract manipulation.
Why don't more people talk about how grading plays impact the market? Half the "manipulation" instances on tcgplayer are people just buying 20 copies of a card to try to grade them. If there's only 40 cards on the market obviously that'll impact pricing
Walking in on camera is not only cringe but annoyingly overused. The whole bit of dancing around the frame and putting on this smartass/disappointed dad façade is exactly what the Rudy guy does.
He said in the last video, he prices to market. If people want to buy they buy. If they don’t, at least he has stuff on his shelves so people can see he still has product. Expecting to get a deal from every single stores you find isn’t logical. If every store gave deals that would be the new market price, and then you’d complain there was no deal. And the cycle would continue
I’m not sure what “Buyer Friendly” means? He’s a business. If “Buyer Friendly” means “sell me product at way below MSRP” then you’ll be sad to find anyone with half a business mind selling anything to where they lose money. I stopped selling any sealed product below MSRP because of the expectation that everyone wants a deal.
When I hear about 'the market' or 'investing' and people are talking about cardboard I /headdesk. Cardboard is not an investment and you should not listen to investbros. It is speculation at best unless you are able to fork $100.000 for a couple of years per product ala Rudy then it would be an investment. Otherwise price of cards usually go down with time for the first 5 years then collecting takes over. In the end don t speculate on cards, just buy what you like because people like investbros will lie to you or manipulate you into fomo
I can tell by the title I'm gonna like the video. 🚀

I love this and I’m grateful for your knowledge. You are helping me get to opening my card shop here in Grove City, Ohio!
Watch your videos while I sort and list my bulk. Great topics and video as always, keep up the great posts.

You scared the shit outta me Mason (literally). Now I *really* need to buy surging sparks
Where there's hype, there's scalper.

if 200 people walk up to you and tell you a lie, and 1 person walks up to you and tells you the truth. who are you going to believe?
I feel manipulated

Hello, I want to start investing, but I'm unsure where to start. Do you have any advice or contacts for assistance?
You need a pro or very good Trader. Someone like Melanie Ann Karnavas
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Melanie Ann, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
I know Melanie Ann Karnavas. as a popular crypto experts' people talk about, her transparency in the crypto community speaks for her, I attended her seminar in Brisbane last year.
This is correct, Melanie strategy has normalized winning trades for me also and it’s a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started.
Yes, I agree with you. Her platform is wonderful and her strategies are exceptional.
So funny you didn't say anything I didn't know but I buy into the hype so often even knowing it
11:57 I’m buying into Mason stock

I love being manipulated…. By a single…. Woman, that takes advantage of me. Oh wait I collect Pokemon cards nvm that doesn’t happen. 🤦♂️
the latter half reminded me of nostalgia nomics lol

Great video!
Are you personally investing in any kind of cardboard?
Um, his entire business is an investment in cardboard.
😅😅😅😅😅
My brother in christ, you do indeed recycle the same content. Everyone does at this point. It's the game everyone has decided to play on Social Media.
Third!!!
Mason. I can't buy much from the store, pricing is not buyer friendly
