Gosh this is a hard choice . I love BM. But my favorite steel is CPM-20CV and S90V. I know M4 is supposed to be the same, but when I go with a benchmade, I purchase a thicker sturdy blade so I can abuse it . Butttt the bailout feels so amazing in pocket and to fidget with. I would likely buy both then be too scared to use them because of the price 😂 But I hate that belly on the Mailibu. That Blade would sharpen in 50 seconds on a diamond stone.
@@Tyler-Woody That's how I am a lot of the time 🤣 I recently forced myself go sell off a lot of knives I wasn't using for that reason. My bailout had issues out of box but it's become main go to for ages now.
Truer words have not been spoken! I don't know who manages the pricing at Benchmade but they have to be a coke fiend. If their QC was better I'd be less salty.
It's not in the same class, especially with D2 steel, but a great budget alternative. The Kershaw Bel-Air is more in line and IMHO better value than either, though I've heard some complaints about the bearings on that model. If I had neither and the Bel-Air came in a better color, I'd save the money and go with that for sure.
Thankfully our little ones are too small xD. I also really dig how think it is. Pocket clip is a smidge tight for some of my pant hems but I can always bend it to fix that if I am ever not lazy.
I filmed this while battling a fever so I apologize for being a little fumbly. Obviously the Bailout clip is the shorter one 😅.

@@WeFightTheDarkthe more I think about it , I would have to go with Benchmade.
I could fillet a fish pretty well with that blade.
Pro-Tech is a good company that likes you, Benchmade is a horrible company that hates you. Easy choice.

Get a Kershaw Iridium for $70 and you won't cry if it disappears or Bubba borrows it and breaks the tip off using it as a chisel.
It really is good too, smooth action.

I have both and I carry the orange bailout 3v more than the Malibu I like the slimmer carry my daughter always jacks my Malibu lol.
