Film 005 10th Oman National Day 1980

This film contains footage that I recorded on the occasion of the festivities of 10th Oman National Day, 18th of November 1980. It is recorded in the capital area. Some of the recordings are from Oman tv News broadcast of those days. In those scenes you can see that it is taken from tv. But all the other recordings, including most in the Watayyah stadium. The film is recorded without sound. The sound in this video comes from a different source, that I recorded separately on a tape recorder.

The Newsreader in the beginning is Fran Atkins wife of my Boss at Zubair Kilpatrick.

We used to see this type of tv-news almost every evening for some time in approx. 1980. A few years later it was read for some time by Mhd Kharusi who was my boss! Sorry for replying late.
