    The Death By Audio Reverberation Machine is the dream reverb for interstellar tone chasers and noise makers alike. If you're a fan of dreamy disintegrating ambient textures or massive walls of reverberating sound, then the Reverberation Machine is right up your tonal alley.
    The pedal sports a super simple layout with a Volume knob, Altitude knob (which adds grit and distortion), Reverb knob and a Bright/Dark switch, which changes the character of the reverb for bright and bouncy to dark and mellow. But beneath the simple exterior lies a wealth of haunting reverb tones. From simple bread-and-butter spring reverbs, to all immersive ambient tones to completely chaotic fuzzed out reverb tones. It's all there and then some.
    This is the perfect pedal for fans of Phil Spector, Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine and William Basinski. A true lo-fi dream machine.
    Guitars used:
    Fender US Telecaster
    Pedals used:

    TCE Ditto Looper Gold
    Amps used:
    Fender Deluxe Reverb RI 65 recorded with an Aston Origin mic

    I've to say that. Actually you're the best pedal reviewer out there. 5-10 minutes video, you know the pedals really well, you don't do annoyong blues solos and you seem such a nice dude, really polite and smart. Good job!
    Cheers from Italy

      @@alexanderkelley2556 The problem is that most of those "blues solos" in UA-cam are not real blues - and even worse, they are totally lacking feeling and soul. But bluesy garage rock can be really great!

    Ok just a tad late on this video, bah, who's counting the years...lol
    I've been loving your content, your clear presentation and energy, your enthusiasm and passion for this, not to mention your excellence in playing, you have this ability to bring out and demonstrate the best features from pedal!
    The main reason I wanted to leave a comment was when you mentioned certain bands and artists, referencing their sounds and tones, as those may be the sounds - or similar - one may obtain with this pedal.
    That is golden information, for a lot of people can feel overwhelmed by the choices we have out there now, there are so many pedals nowadays it can really be daunting, resulting to buying with trepidation. So, referencing artists as you did here can be very helpful.
    I saw another video of yours where you referenced the Cocteau Twins/Guthrie guitar sound, that may have been my intro to your Pedal Zone channel, so glad, I'm learning a ton from you!
    I feel every pedal demo should at least reference, even loosely, an artist's sound, be it guitar or synth, etc.
    Thanks for all your great work, keep it up!

    Very special pedal. Only issue I have with mine is that it can be hard to manage the huge volume on tap once you start playing with the altitude knob. Great for pushing ods, but on its own you have to be very precise with knob positioning so it won't overpower everything

    Honestly I think you would do well with just playing your music, enough of your subscribers are fans of your playing. I would love to listen while I'm driving and on the train. People watching downtown or sitting in a coffee shop. You're a great reviewer, I would keep it up but I think I'm a bigger fan of your music and I'm not the only one.

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  5 років тому

      Well, that’s kind of you to say, and I’m honored you would want to listen to something like that. But the truth is that so far my demos and tutorials are my original material. Everything I play in my videos are 100% custom made pieces for the particular pedals inspired by those pedals. I currently have no aspirations to make a solo album. I prefer making music with other people, and I do have some band project records out there, which you are more than welcome to listen to 😊 But so far I pour everything that’s me and my music into my videos here. I like how this format lets me merge my love for playing pedals, talking about pedals and making music. I of course always want to evolve and make different kinds of demo content, so perhaps there will be content like you describe in the future. But for now, it’s all about specific pedals and how they inspire me 😊👌 Thank you for the input, man. Have a great day ❤️🙏

      @thepedalzone  7 років тому

      I haven't played the Mantic Proverb, but since it's also a Belton Brick reverb, there will be some tonal similarities in the way the reverb sounds and reacts. The Mantic seems to be able to get a way longer decay though. So having both could be a nice option. Using the Mantic for long sustaining ambient pads, and then using the Reverberation Machine for noisy disintegrating textures :)

      GDmetallic - It's two very different reverbs. Depends on your style of playing. But for me personally, Reverberation Machine is a perfect texture machine. Something I would combine with a more standard reverb. Whereas the Météore is a bit more all round. But that's just my personal opinion aimed at my personal needs. Don't know what you need :)

      thanks man.
      I just wanted to hear an opinion from someone who owns and knows how to use both of them.
      Currently I got a Dispatch Master from EQD, and i got a pretty standard and subtle setting on that, and i think i need a giant wall of dark reverb in my life, so i was thinking of the caroline or dba because of the distorted nature of these two.
      anyway, thanks for your answer man!

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  7 років тому +1

      GDmetallic - No problem. The distortion only affects the reverberated signal on the Météore whereas it affects the dry signal on the Reverberation Machine. So keep that in mind when making your decision :)

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  6 років тому +1

      The DBA is brighter and more jangly than the Météore. Plus its drive circuit also affects your dry tone, whereas the drive circuit in the Météore only affects the wet signal. So keep that in mind. Personally I feel like the Météore is more lush, warm and atmospheric, whereas the Reverberation Machine is a very lively and granular. Hope that helps.

      Hey, Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate you taking the time to explain the differences here. I have a Context which is pretty but standard (plate is my go to). But always on the look out for something with more character or grit. I guess I'm now leaning towards the DBA! Thanks again.

    What other pedal is used to make that background melody at 1:56 ?

      andrew meyer - That’s just a Looper. I recorded a loop, which I then manipulate with the Reverberation Machine :)

      ThePedalZone hey thanks for the reply man! I gathered that but it sounds like there's some modulation going on, that's all from the reverberation machine?

      The only effect being used is the Reverberation Machine, yes. The loop was recorded completely clean without any other effects :)

    volumen knob doesnt work on mine. the same for you? iguess

      +Mauricio Cook - My volume knob works too well. There's a ton of output on that thing. That's why I have it set so low throughout the demo :)

    Hi friend, this pedal worth the money in 2023?

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  Рік тому +1

      I think so. There's a lot of other dirty Belton Brick Reverb pedals out there now, but the Reverberation Machine still has a unique voice of its own due to its gritty fuzz circuit.

    MBV dont use reverb dude. Please dont disinfo effects!

      A Tree - Sure they do. They used the Yamaha SPX 90 and Alesis MidiVerb constantly. But that wasn't the point. I didn't claim that they used Reverb pedals. I just said that this pedal might appeal to fans of MBV based on its ability to create massive walls of sound. Didn't say it was MBV in box :) But thanks for watching and commenting. Have a nice day!
