"Everybody believes in guns, some just outsource the violence" Best way I have ever heard it said!
The only thing that makes me feel safe in south africa is my firearm. Not the police and not security.
It's not "police", but "please"! The please force is rotten to the core! Please give me a break!😢
We need a criminal free South Africa, not a gun free South Africa. The focus is distorted.
Wow, what an excellent video! So glad we have a South African laying out the gun laws here.
Well said man. I licensed my 1st gun in around 2017 and I spoke of this till I ran out of juice because most people around me didn't understand a thing about guns. Lately those friends are arming themselves and here is the video to gimme courage.
So glad this video can be of help to you😁🙏
This story we must re licence every 5 years too its a pain in the arse.
Check out our video on Section 16 Firearms 😉
"Proof is in the pudding, I'm the pudding" damn did that crack me up...🤣🤣🤣
😅
The reason I got my first gun is because I heard our president saying that South Africans should not have access to guns.
Good on you!
Taking guns away from licensed citizens is like taking cars away from sober drivers.
Great comment 😊
Literally🤣
Iv said that so many times, Gun Free South Africa if any crime is committed wether on the street in their own home who do they call...you guessed it armed response or the cops, people with GUNS😉
One thing every one forgets. All government stays in power by force. And not just force on outside actors. They rule you by force.
Buy this man a beer
hell he need a case of beer 😂

The same people who cannot control crime are the ones who have made it so costly and inconvenient to obtain a license. Over and above the huge expense to buy a firearm a person still has to lay out extra for competency certificates etc !
Its always the decent people who are disarmed. Gun ccontrol=only guvvament & criminals will have guns. We should seriously be supporting secession. Its only going to continue going South here. When it comes to safety and security we are the first responders, not the armed response or police - they are second responders. During the time it takes for second responders to respond if they respond we have to be able to respond and to do that we need to be equipped with the right tools that at least equal or surpass the attacker's tools.
Secession is not the way it'd only make us smaller and easier targets. We need to stand as one against politicians in favour of authoritarianism. We will not be bent over backwards by the political elite. 🇿🇦
Its hard enough to legally own a firearm in SA, how much more control do they want!? ffs
Love your videos, i always learn a few new tricks from your knowledge , thanku!
Spot on
100%
Number 4 and number 5 is absolutely crazy! 😮 shocking
They should just license the person. Much easier and far more financially viable for government. (Import tax and much more expensive firearms) The only thing holding you back should be your wallet.
Don't come here with your common sense and good ideas😂👌
@@gunlicence I love your channel. Like most South Africans it's your, collectively dry sense of humour and pragmatism I admire in a beautiful country with a seriously constant threat of crime.
It has never put me off from coming down to enjoy the so many positives that your nation has going for it.
Very well said my brother ❤
Apex explanation 💪😎
Dankie😁
It's my life it's my right to protect myself. To hell with gun control .If my gun is taken away from me I'd buy an illegal one .
Not another I'm and aah gwa competent speaker or person that did the neccesary homework to sound like pro
Lol, what?
Amen brother preach
The trouble is we all know people who must not have guns, so some sort of control is nessesary, think of aggresive alcoholics etc.
Freedom is scary.....deal with it😅
Here where I live is no armed response, and i would,nt call the police because they dont know where the farm is.
Well said Mark👍🏻
1:29 Gentleman?
Brilliant boet
Pick up the phone and call SAPS hahah they dont answer or they have not vehicles available. Never call SAPS. You are better off calling Cape Town Law Enforcement and that also fails so I agree one should have the freedom and the constitutional right to have a firearm for personal defence
I there I'm Carl from Rustenburg I've lost my left leg just underneath my hip Otherwise I'm 100% only need to get on with crutches Will I be able to get a firearm + license I need it very bad Becouse of this disability I'm a very easy target Been rob 3 times already
Hey Carl 😁 Thanks for leaving this comment. You can definitely still apply to own a firearm. The Gunlicence Team has assisted many applicants with various physical limitations and disabilities - including wheelchair-bound individuals who are responsible firearm owners today!
👍👍💪💪
Liked. And Subscribed 🙂🤌🏻
Your thumbnail has a spelling error. But great content. Thanks
ANC would never implement gun control the DA definitely.
👍👍😡😡
I have visited SA on a few occasions, always staying in the Western Province, though did spend a few days in Johannesburg. My first visit was early in November, 30 years ago.
I live in the UK.
I am not an expert qualified to lecture any South African about anything. All I can speak of is through the experience of being a holiday maker with an enquiring mind.
All the rights and wrongs in SA's systems of law, politics and life are more complex than I could, as a tourist, voice any opinions or lecture South Africans, ever.
I cannot be judgemental or speak with authority despite my interest in how the Rainbow Nation operates. Nor would I want to.
Firstly, to simply express an opinion that blames communism as a reason for endangering the safety of civilians with it's anti gun policies that reduce the ability of citizens to own weapons is not a communist issue.
There is a difference between Communism and Socialism and to equate past regimes like Stalin, Chairman Mao and the like is not relevant to compare with SA's situation.
South Africa has historically had Gun's available legally to the white population but when the non whites started to get them it became a problem for the whites.
As much as they were for the non whites when most whites legally held them.
I, as a visitor to SA asked some white SA friends whether it was advisable for me to apply for a licence to carry a firearm and learn how to use it. The 100% response was effectively, Never ever at all, it would get me killed a lot quicker than I would ever be killed if I was unarmed. The reasons given were numerous and convincing why it would be a terrible idea, including, speed of reaction times, absolute certainty to fire it in a split second without hesitation or the chance that the person I was aiming at had a concealed weapon under their shirt who wouldn't even reveal they were armed and put a bullet in my head when I was wasting my time thinking about whether to use it or not. I have had zero military training for using a firearm and other such reasons.
Personally, gun's are not for me.
I do believe that as the risk of the "bad" guys having firearms is very real, then the rights of all law abiding South African citizens to carry a deterrent must be allowed.
If not, the last human right to defend oneself is taken away and the criminals have been given the advantage which will lead to a total breakdown of law and order.
On your second point about, carrying a gun being the quickest way you will die. This is why you need to train religiously. Have you seen the videos of criminals with guns? Criminals don't train. You see them holding their guns with one hand, closing their eyes and just showing their complete incompetence with guns.
I have heard many stories of people who are alive today because of they knew how to handle their weapon and the situation.
If you suck you suck. Your gun isn't going to save you just because you carry it. And you are irresponsible if you don't train regularly.
And you don't need military training. Military training is for military conflict not for civilian self-defence. Two different situations needing way different training.
@@boshoff. When I used the word Military, I probably meant, professional training. Just the misuse or wrong choice of word.
It goes to show that I really don't have much idea about guns.
But thank you for your reply, it is an interesting topic and I appreciate your words
@@jonathanmills5747 thanks for your good attitude. Sorry if I came across brass. I'm just really passionate about responsible gun ownership.
@@boshoff. Apology accepted but not necessary, I didn't feel belittled, and I respect what you said, it is an interesting topic and I take your advice gratefully. I am learning all the time and your opinion comes from a background where I have very little knowledge.
All makes perfectly good sense to me.
I thank you
Hi how would they react if a schizofrenic own guns in south africa. Asking for a friend
Ja nee kyk
Why do south africa not make open carry legal for a criminal to see a law binding citizen with a firearm the chance that he will strike becomes less whan his seeing nog firearm on the side of a law binding citizen
My only concern with open carry is that it would probably make you a target. Let's just say a criminal sees you open-carrying, he could easily follow you to your home and target you for robbery, or straight up jump you wiht his friends to take your guns by force.
Don't get me wrong, I think that if someone wants to open carry, they should absolutely be allowed to do so, I'd just personally rather conceal carry because I wouldn't want anyone to know I have a gun if I had one unless I have to use it to defend myself
@NightL3gacy47 i understand or the SAPS can give you the options to open or conceal carry your firearm with ever makes you feel safe and can give you the fastest time to respond to a threat
@@baaspietalpha2198 Definitely. At the end of it, I think it should completely be up to the owner, and the police shouldn't have a say in what you do with your firearm(s) or how many you can own as long as you use it responsibly
Do you really know what communism is?
Everyone but EFF supporters know what communism is.
State control of your life & wife, by the scythe!!!
Yes I do. I served my time against communism in SWA. I have seen the ravages of communism first hand. Have you???
