Thinking of you all, from Australia. Please stay safe! Please evacuate if you need to, especially if you're not used to fires! To evacuate safely, you need to leave before the day's temperature warms up, so basically at dawn & stay away until it cools again (generally a little after dusk). In bad fires, if you try to evacuate when the fire is near you, you will die! You need to act early! Go to a local (air conditioned if possible) shopping centre or club or community facility that's in a built up area, away from the bush, take you devices or a book or something to do & just relax there for the day & repeat each day the threat exists. We'll evacuate up to a million people in this way in places like Sydney when the fire risk is high, it's why our death toll from fires is so low compared to the severity of the fires we experience. Please look after yourselves & keep yourselves & your family safe! Possessions can be replaced, but your life can't be. Go somewhere cool & safe & let the firefighters focus on saving your home instead of saving you
Local shops having air-conditioning aren't allowing people unless they have at least 10000 ruppes to purchase something from there. Time limit is another factor.
My dad was concern and asked me if i am okay in this heat in Europe. Coming from a part of India which is “COLD” ( Northeast) - i feel uneasy. I always imagined Europe with jackets and woollen clothes, now i am sitting sweating in a vest. 😭

Instead of invading and bombing countries that have never harmed us, we should invade Brazil and form a skirmish line around the Amazon Rainforest - I'm not kidding. Every year it gets smaller, and every year the globe gets hotter ... duhhhh I wonder if there could possibly be a connection? You think it's hot now, what the Hell are we going to do when the Amazon Rainforest is gone?
we dont even need to do that. we already have players on the ground. we need soldiers infiltrating the forest, looking for the native tribes. Arm them. They have been hunted by the brazilian police and companies for decades now. Literal death squads form the vanguard of wood cutting formations... we need to arm them. coordinate them. unify them. As someone from Scotland where there has been wildfires in the mountains forever...but almost always has a cold draft...I'm enjoying the almost 30degC heat!
The thing is that we can't be sure this will all balance out in the long run. - Increasing heat waves cause more fires that make the climate change worse which results in more heat waves and more fires. - Because of the heat the frozen ground in the taiga regions also melts, which releases methane and CO2 which also makes the climate change worse which causes more ground to melt and more gasses to be released. - The melting of the ice in places like Greenland also speeds up the climate change, because the ice with its high albedo reflects the sun. Once the ice is gone, the bare rock will heat up instead of reflecting the sunlight which also speeds up climate change. - Then the climate change also changes water temperatures and currents which will probably freeze northern Europe for a while destroying all crops in England and Sweden and whatnot. And the change of currents and water temperatures can also unfreeze the solid methan hydrates on the ocean floor, which then in gaseous form goes into the atmosphere which again speeds up climate change. So, if we have bad luck, this could basically kill all life on the planet.
It won’t kill all life. The ocean ridge life forms will probably survive almost anything. But you are right the worse it gets the faster it gets, snowballing if you will, until the super rich will need to escape to an orbiting habitat while the rest of us die.
Yes, this is exactly why scientists have been alarming for.. what ~20 years now? This exactly scenario. And still there are dummies who deny climate change. I'd say it make me lose believe in human kind but I already lost it. What we desperately need now is actual changes so maybe - maybe - we'll be able to maintain it enough to be liveable. Mind the word here: liveable, not how it used to be - LIVEABLE.

This simply demonstrates our lack of evolution as a species and our inability to learn from our ancestors! For thousands of years, mankind has learnt to build fire breaks in forested areas and use that cultivated land to grow crops. Our ancestors knew the disasters it faced if it didn’t protect its lucrative hunting grounds from total destruction by fires in the hottest days of the summertime! They didn’t have tinned food that they could turn to, if suddenly all of their food sources where destroyed by fire! Yet, today, we seem to have slipped back as a species and are incapable of even looking after the land around us! The aboriginal elders in Australia pointed these simple facts out a few years back when there were widespread fires in Australia (mainly started accidentally by humans and not global warming as the rhetoric from the green alarmists would have you believe)! The aboriginal elders pointed out to local councils, that funding cutbacks on proper land management, would end in disaster! And it did!
As a Lakota from America, I agree, we need to go natural and start caring for our planet. We need to stop pollution in it's tracks and treat this planet as our mother!!
I stand with those that have a brain to think for themselves. Most people still haven’t realised that it’s the big industrial polluters of this world that have spent billions of dollars in campaigns aimed at making people feel guilty for carbon emissions and at the same time carrying on polluting this planet themselves! BP invented the term ‘Carbon Footprint’ and spent millions on a campaign that deflected the attention away from the damage to the earth they were doing, whilst trying to get people feeling guilty for the harm being done to the planet! Nothing has changed to this day, except the rich globalists want to force you off fossil fuels and onto other greener technologies that they have heavily invested in. Most won’t be able to afford these new technologies, which will become mandated into law and most will ultimately end up having to release capital from their properties to install. Heat pumps will soon be that mechanism to force you away from gas boilers and the banning of petrol and diesel for electric cars is all planned too! Except what they won’t admit, is that behind the scenes these very same countries will still have to fire up gas and coal fired power stations to keep up with the energy demand for all these new electric cars! If you think the world can go carbon neutral by 2050, then you must realise that you are being lied to!

Surprised there was zero mention to the consequences these temperatures and fires will have on agriculture in Europe this year. Where's all this water coming from to fight the fires? Will there be rain to replenish the sources? Enough run-off rom the mountains? There was footage of firefighters putting out a blaze in what looked like an orchard, but no mention of it. Exemplary, perhaps, of how peripheral food production is to most of us. To many of us, food comes from the store, garbage goes in the bin and then disappears, water just magically comes out of the tap, and when the toilet is flushed, the contents just go "away". We took the most vital aspects of our lives, the inputs required and outputs resulting from our survival, and turned them into "non-thoughts", by way of our industries and technologies. The people that will survive into the future, will do so by first being in an area of the world where fresh water and arable land is available, and by reclaiming the knowledge of, and responsibility for, feeding, clothing, housing, and healing ourselves and our communities, and dealing with our waste in a manner than benefits the planet, rather than pollutes and poisons it.
Go somewhere cool & safe & let the firefighters focus on saving your home instead of saving you
nothing new here sadly :(
Good advice. I've been watching the flooding in the Sydney area. Stay safe!
Local shops having air-conditioning aren't allowing people unless they have at least 10000 ruppes to purchase something from there. Time limit is another factor.
Bless all the fire services at this terrible time please sray safe and thank you.

Hello how are you doing?
My dad was concern and asked me if i am okay in this heat in Europe. Coming from a part of India which is “COLD” ( Northeast) - i feel uneasy. I always imagined Europe with jackets and woollen clothes, now i am sitting sweating in a vest. 😭
Well you deserved it
I'm from the tropics, we took a bath twice everyday. it's our only way to cool off. I dunno if this suggestion is applicable to you.
I'm from Northeast India as well, Shillong to be exact. And yeah 23 degree Celsius is considered hot here 😄
Don’t worry it will pass. I live in Canada and we have heat waves too at the moment but we can have really cold winters.
I escaped India (West Bengal) to escape the humid heat and moved to North America, but with global warming occurring, no one is safe anymore. Experts say that Darjeeling might warm quicker than Delhi! 😕
Climate change deniers, like the little cartoon dog, drinking his coffee in a burning house, will say, "This is fine.". There is no limit to the human capacity to deny the truth.
Exactly the thing I was thinking about.
2 days of heat and a record is not climate change
I lived near Malaga and fires in the summer are sadly common. I had a very close call once and it was terrifying and moves so so quickly and can change direction instantly. Prayers to all those close to these fires 🙏

Indeed
People are always evacuated, but have anyone ever thought about what happens to the animals, birds and flowers, bushes, trees and insects? I live in Europe myself but this is devastating to more than people!

A lot of people worry about the animals yes believe it or not they do ... I am one of them and I'm sure a large portion of the population gets sickened saddened and brokenhearted at the thought of all that wild life that will die horrible and frightening deaths ...
... and also all that beautiful nature just totally destroyed .
Yes it's so shocking and devastating when these fires hit ... it's such an evil thing
Well, they are burned alive, whitch is the most painful death possible, since their nerves that are responsible for physical pain are being pretty much slowly disintegrated. That means that they are painfully slowly dying until they are a corpse covered in ashes and every single nerve has been burned(Means they experienced the pain everywhere on the body). Fortunately we can’t hear them scream in pain through the fire.
Hope i calmed you down.

I remember campaigning for climate weather awareness from the 1990s, yet nothing has been done by any government to step outside of the capitalists mentality since then, and the climate has changed for the worse because of that inactivity.

It's not capitalism fault it's unchecked capitalism which is at wrong and the governments Unqualified leaders
Dying :)
we dont even need to do that.
we already have players on the ground.
we need soldiers infiltrating the forest, looking for the native tribes. Arm them.
They have been hunted by the brazilian police and companies for decades now. Literal death squads form the vanguard of wood cutting formations...
we need to arm them.
coordinate them. unify them. Most don't even realize they are under attack before their village is in flames. Spread the news. Bring in weapons. More weapons.
We don't even need to waste soldiers.
These people are ready to fight for their soil. We just need to give them the weapons.
@@underarmbowlingincidentof1981 God bless them, but were they armed to the teeth, they'd be no match for the Brazilian death squads/army. It's time for the developed nations to step in, and do something: and it's not just the Amazon, it's every rain forest on the globe.

It’s very sad, a lots of fires in Turkey too.
Imagine for a moment twenty years ago someone shows you the news from the times we are going through now ,it would be hard to take it all in wouldn't it
Maybe after twenty years from now there will be no trees on earth , instead of going to mars , mars will come to us
Not to mention what it may be like 20 years from now !!!
But climate change totally isn't real according to the mouth breathers.
20 years ago they would of told you that 40C is not a hot enough temperature to randomly set things on fire, which it isn't so they would do what we should be doing now and stop listening to this nonsense.
@@kenflike99 Nobody is saying the air temperature is randomly setting things on fire that's not how wildfires start why do you idiots keep saying that haha?
Bombs
We have allready killed 99% of the wildlife.

I checked 70,000 hectares is as big as Singapore...
Oh the animals and wildlife.😭😔please save them too🙏
You will have to become a volunteer firefighter if you really want to make a difference!
I don’t know why the earth is obsessed with fire. Don’t we all need to chill. Now to be serious, I feel bad for the people living there and prey for them and hope that it will rain so that the fire can be put out and the temperature can finally decline. Haven’t Europe suffered enough already.
God won't answer that prayer this is His wrath. It's only just beginning. Come to Jesus Christ and repent.
There is an ancient culture that believes the reason places suffer from drought is because the people there don't have compassion
In mother earth eyes, humans are parasites that needed to be cleanse along with all their creations that is polluting everything. lol
Europe has nothing to complain about. At least they aren't suffering like other countries in Africa and Middle east. Or even in Asia where there is floods and typhoons every year.
@@puttodeaththefleshwithlord8419 lol go read your Bible. If it was the wrath of God it would be a lot worse than just some measly fires.
Dont blame God for it. This world is fallen and full of sin: bad things happen without God's involvement.
God takes no delight in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33).

I just hope this heatwave ends soon, because the wildfires are too much

You will have to become a volunteer firefighter then.
@@ciaragarrity6425 is that possible?

Having to drink more water and use more water, when were in a situation where water needs to be conserved. Hopefully California can get through this. And other places in similar situations. Though Desalination seems like the most needed solution.
Don´t worry, it´s over. This shit is unsustainable.
Disgusting that they didn't start working on desalinization plants decades ago and such a rich economy as California which they said was one of the wealthiest economies on the planet .
But Cali seems to be run on greed and luxury and flaunting .

That's why most of the country is uninhabited.
Welcome to the end of this iteration of civilization. All in all, i think we did a bang up job this time around. Never before in history did so many people have it so good. Too bad we took it all for granted
It's not a wild fire, it's a plan to make mad money. FTW
And, what kind of money is anybody making from this?

The people that will survive into the future, will do so by first being in an area of the world where fresh water and arable land is available, and by reclaiming the knowledge of, and responsibility for, feeding, clothing, housing, and healing ourselves and our communities, and dealing with our waste in a manner than benefits the planet, rather than pollutes and poisons it.

... and has anyone noticed that despite the heat, there's been no corresponding increase in insect activity or numbers?
Yes, I agree! There are less crickets around where I live in the eastern part of the United States, but lots of cicadas.
Actually you have a point. And the reason is ?
yah because the fire is killing them
I have seen so few bees and almost no bumble bees this year here in North east USA.
