This is good for my writing database. I outline and plot in Notion but draft in drive, so it will be nice to have the file linked in Notion. Love it!

I've build an app that essentially does something similar, but automatically, for whole directories of files. Some of your audience might find it helpful.
    Thanks for sharing

How would I be able to automate this so every time I create a google drive file it gets put into the correct database in notion?

What’s the advantage of this over just using google drive? (Great concise video btw)

What is the advantage of this as opposed to just uploading the file into Notion? Love your videos BTW. Have learned so much! 😊

I prefer using the google drive desktop app for daily file handling and sharing. It integrates beautifully with your desktop and syncs with your computer files.
I find it useful to link to these files that I also like to store in google drive. (Mainly because I already have google drive and I trust it as a storage/file viewing solution. Notion isn’t the best tool for file management. I find that it’s stronger at lightweight data collection, task management and simple notes.
This way I’m able to use two great tools that I used to use separate. Now I can use them together!

This is a great feature in Notion, and your explanation is the best. I've connected my drive account and a link to an image, but I can't figure out if it's possible to get notion to *display* the image in the database. (I can do this just fine for images stored on my own machine.) When I tried to "share" an image URL--without the integration feature--notion can't handle it. I've tried to address it by using the link google drive generates to "give permission to anyone with the link" but my luck or savvy ran out. My goal is to integrate google drive, store the images on google drive in my machine's database, and view them like a gallery in notion. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

I think galleries might have an option to display an attached file but not a google drive file I don’t think.
I’m not sure if this is possible yet without jumping through some hoops. Google drive integration only goes so far. I wish it was a true 1:1 sync. Would be phenomenal… it’s just not there yet.

Unfortunately, the only connections right now are:
      - GitHub Pull Requests
      - Google Drive File
      - Figma File
They will probably keep adding them though so we can keep our hopes high. :)
