Hi, can we use the sensor to trigger external device like d link plug all connected by Alexa ? For example - switch on the fan (connected to d link plug ) when temperature is more than 24 degrees
I do not think currently is possible because Alexa do not recognize the temperature sensor as a trigger for routines. If you have the Switchbot mini hub you can trigger other switchbot devices base on temperature or humidity. Maybe with Home Assistance in the middle is possible. I'm waiting my raspberry pi 4 since September 2021 to start testing

Hi. I am trying to establish if this thermometer will work via IFTTT and turn on Hive heating... Have you tried anything like this?

Can you export the metered data to excel sheet or something similar?
Yes, you can export to csv and then into excel
can i manage it remotely ? or should i get closer to the device ?
If you have the hub you can manage from anywhere
Hola!! excelente vídeo, este termómetro va configurado por wifi?
Sí tienes el switchbot hub lo puedes conectar a la Wifi
Can you demonstrate it working with Alexa routines. There are apparently no external temp sensors that integrate with Alexa routines.
It does no work with Alexa routines
Have you tried it inside a fridge? I would think the metal casing of the fridge would block or impede the Bluetooth signal.
it's wifi when connected to the hub, not bluetooth
Triggers?
How long battery last?
I have it for more than one year now and it still showing all the bars in the battery display. I would say several years.
Thanks!
Is there a transmission delay in the telephone-thermometer communication?
Es una pena que no se puedan hacer rutinas con Alexa
Por que no haces los vídeos en castellano ?
