the squeak is totally one of my favourite things. okay well you were curious about people's thoughts on this song so here are mine. i do agree that it's much different from her other title tracks. i first sort of... found out about chungha when she released snapping and while now i really enjoy the song i wasn't really into it when it came out. i felt like... i guess there wasn't enough in the sound alone to keep my attention so to speak? it's all a personal thing, i'm just talking about my own feelings on it. i liked stay tonight more though i think partly due to the choreo and the music video, the male dancers' makeups and outfits? yes iconic. then she released play (i'm talking about those title tracks only, because i haven't checked out her bsides yet. might now tho) and it was my favourite by far, but i kind of wished the rap part wasn't there. everything else was incredible tho. and now this. so see with chungha and my music taste it's sort of like she tends to fall in my metaphorical box of songs i can enjoy, but usually don't come back to often and don't listen to on repeat. i'll see how it is with this one, but it's definitely my new favourite. i think there's sooo much in it musically that keeps my adhd brain completely entertained. her voice was always my fave part of her songs and you can really hear her range in this one and it seems she has so much fun with it, i adore that heavy sound we hear at the very beginning of the mv (if anyone can tell what it is i will be forever grateful, because i'm not sure) i think it has so much character and attitude. kinda.. meh on some of the lyrics and those broom broom parts initially made me think of nct or that new... oneus (?) song, but it grew on me after like three listens. the dance break is AMAZING, i'm looking forward to the dance video and in general the mv is stunning. some of the visuals reminded me of gidle's oh my god and some k/da mv which i loved. interestingly my friend who's a fan of chungha isn't really into this song so yeah it's quite different
