- A throwback, some vault footage, a golden oldie. Whatever you want to call it, this is a blast from my snow-grooming past at Mt Ruapehu. A simple video of the climb from the base area up the rock garden, the waterfall and ending at the cat shed.

I did a stint at Whakapapa on an exchange from Lake Louise, I think that was in ‘96… absolutely loved being on the de- icing crew heading up early morning in the dark. Great memories. Thanks for this!
I saw in a few of your vids that you have teflon on some of your pistonbullys. Do you put them on prinoths too? We have all prinoths here and it's really annoying when the snow gets stuck to the blade.
At Ruapehu they don’t have them on their machines, it has been unsuccessfully tried though. In Sälen, Sweden they are on all our machines, both brands. It helps stop the man-made snow sticking to the blade. Makes a huge difference.

Is pushing pow not pushing pow anymore?
Not in a snowcat. I’m clearing snow with a wheel loader for a couple of weeks then moving back to New Zealand, so no snowcat driving this winter.
