      I do, and have started using this method. It is definitely helping! But it seems I may have to hit it a few more times. I also didn't use the absorene, just got that in! But I haven't tried the pages, got a little fear there. I have a few test comics before I hit any of the keys I want to clean!

    I'm late to the party here as you posted this a year ago, but I found this video to be quite instructional as I'm just starting my C&P journey. I've got my cotton rounds and absorene sponge and putty. Next up I've asked Santa Wife for a 15 X 15 heat press and my in-laws for the Immaculate comics metal plates. Hydrogen peroxide is easily gotten as are backing boards, 65lb paper, white eraser and magazine sized backing boards.
    I've got plenty of comics to experiment on before getting to my better books so, I'm looking forward to the new year and working on some books. I thank Hobby Hero and the other posters of C&P techniques for their videos and instructions. Best to all and happy holidays.

    I much prefer these videos to your unboxing of modern CGC comics where you are disappointed with anything under a 9.8. I only collect silver and bronze age comics, so I'm thrilled with anything in the 9's (sometimes even with 8.5). And thank you for wearing pants in this video. ;)

    • @hobbyhero6973
      @hobbyhero6973  2 роки тому

      Lol, thanks! CGC is a tricky thing. With modern books for the most part it’s 9.8 or bust and with older books until you hit those high grades a lot of times getting them slabbed is just for preservation so a lot of mine are just kept raw. Have some older books coming up tho!

A little bit of searching on UA-cam and you can get some great gear for fairly cheap that will really level up your presentation. (Edit tips: whatever edit software you're using should have a simple noise removal filter - put it on at 10% and it will make a huge difference for the white noise. Also please export your audio as stereo, equal channels, and not mono only using one channel [i.e. left] which is pretty obnoxious, etc.)

      @@hobbyhero6973 okay I'll search for you on Instagram as well. Maybe the more specific answer is listening to you in this video go through multiple passes of pressing with the peroxide what was the rough amount of time you were doing each of those peroxide presses to try to get the stain to progress out of the book. Thanks again
