I need some advice. I recently bought a White's Bullseye TXR pinpointer. White's claimed it was waterproof to 10 ft. I took it to 3 ft & it completely died on me. $130 dollars & a 2 hr ride to Cabella's for this? I'm a little pissed off. Could you recommend a true waterproof pinpointer? Thanks.
+Yooper Digger57 The Makro was a disappointment it is just a little shy of the old Garrett Propointer.. The AT pinpointer was a marked improvement of the old Garett Propointer, but the TRX is still head and shoulders above the rest, but its an acquired taste and not for everyone.
on a side note... i ordered the lesche digger after your review... we are often dry here in ga too but i can still pull plugs most days. i think it will punch through better than most i have seen...or at least that i am willing to pay for
Hi Tex, real good vid once more, always good to learn someting...I got so fedup with problems with these crazy priced machines fedup with sending them back and having to wait for there return. i was infuriated..So i decided i had spent enough daft money....,Well After much investigation and research. due to crazy prices. I went ahead and took the chance and bought the ( GOLD HUNTER PRO POINTER ), And boy i am so glad i did. it blast s both these into oblivion. here,s just a few test results ( GOLD HUNTER ) silver coin tests. ...George 1936 silver shilling 60mm. George 1918 silver sixpence 45mm. George 1914 silver threpence 42mm.. The GOLD HUNTER PRO POINTER beats them both hands down. and it is none motion, and it also has alert warning if left turned on or left behind.....It is better value by far plus it is very well built to with water proof sealed rubber buttons, led light and scraper blade....... Plus it comes with a very good quality springy lanyard and belt holster. Give it a couple of monthes and it will be the market leader in my opinion. yes it is that good.... ebay UK or China.....i bought mine from Uk Just to be sure i got it. china post unreliable, they either loos it or it takes a lifetime to get here....i recommend it. its a great bit of kit......., it,s auto tune. No need to waste valuable time groud balancing
+Scooter GW Ouch, I am really ready to get back out there, but I think after a few more days I will be ready to go.. I don't want one week to be a month, if I strain it again... But it won't be long now.
can you tell me which has the strongest vibration ? i don't care about audio as all i do is wet sand to surf hunt and the audio is useless because of ocean noise. I just bought a TRX and I'm disappointed in the strength of the vibration.
Good job the TRX really smoked him I just bought one called the JeeMAC would love to put it against the TRX to see how it stacks up the only thing mine isn’t waterproof easy fix though
I will need to buy another one...I lost it in a detecting misadventure... I have found far less value than I have lost in the weeds, but I do gain in profit and fun.
The makro and nokta are the same machine ,there's no way that makro was at full sensitivity my pulls signals on Australia n 1cent pieces at around 4 inches
I'm not sure why you're waving the coin back and forth. It makes it hard to see exactly where it's picking up at and really is t necessary since the coin in the hole isn't moving back and forth.Good comparison otherwise.
The Makro is not at the zero spot?? You have the "scoop" thing on, and the first 1 cm is just plastic from the scoop head? ...and it is on minimum setting - not a fair comparison. But still a good review... just not fair for the Makro :)
The Makro is OK, but it drives me a little nuts when I use it with the XP Deus... at 12khz I get a lot of interference. The good thing about the TRX is that its really up there in frequency so, very little with the exception of some gold detectors will interefere with it.
ive got a makro pin pointer ,must be on minimal sensitivity because small objects are about 3 inches and large objects anywhere up to a foot, solid pointer but the internal components must be cheap because light does not work now and the connectors on the base are all dodgy, even had to re solder the coil back on
I am not a big fan of the old Makro, and I haven't checked or tested any updated models, because it conflicted with certain settings on my XP Deus. I don't have the spare cash of the old days well I do, but to talk country (which I almost never do, unless I am imitating what clueless people consider to be Texan), but there are other hogs at that trough.
No doubt this is ancient video, and there have been hardware updates galore.. I am going to get back into detecting, in the spring, maybe later winter we will see what happens.
The TRX is amazing on finding small Gold pickers and nuggets. One of the best out there.
It looked like the Garett Pro-pointer AT was closer to 2 1/4."
2 and 1/4 is exactly what I saw in this video heheheh.
Hope your feeling better Tony !! Good vid, thanks. Merry Christmas !!
+Jack Townsend Thanks jack Merry Christmas to you! I am doing much better and chomping at the bit to get back out and digging.
Like always Tony a well done review.
+Jerry Dineen Thanks Jerry. :)

I like this video. Nice comparison.
pro pointer was 2-1/4 inches
U didn't have Garrett AT at max sensitivity and it was ringing at 2.3 inches.
I would have thought the macro would have done better great demo my friend

+Scooter GW Lesche is the King in most soil types.
a pin pointer is not set for motion, so no need to wave he object back and forth, like one would for an air test for a machine.
My friend Makro pointer have this coin more than 2" you have it at minimum sensitivity.
I have a question. For the garret carrot I know the max sensitivity is 1/2 inch from the tip...not the very tip.. What about the others? Thanks
It's funny everybody making excuses for their favorite pin pointer. Lol

Love my Whites equipment. Just saying 👍🏻
Love my TRX!
+Digging Pitts I takes a little getting "used to" but it can't be beat among the present crop of pinpointers in my opinion.
Well Done review.
I am chomping too! I got 2 weeks off from work and.....RAIN for the next 4 days!!!

thanks for making this video, very helpful.
I use a deus and have a nokta (makro) and an AT and the nokta knocks spots of the AT in fact i would bet it would do better than most.
My Garrett AT Pro (Carrot) is way more sensitive than that. The AT Pro has 3 sensitivity settings. . . . . . . which one was it set on?
I will need to buy another one...I lost it in a detecting misadventure... I have found far less value than I have lost in the weeds, but I do gain in profit and fun.
Garrett at pro pointer two beeps at startup is medium sensitive. Sorry
And, obviously it was 2 3/8 or 2 1/4. I noticed the 2 beeps also. Not a fair test.
The 2 beeps when turning on just means its on you dont get 3 beeps until your in the settings mode.
Michael Johnson not true.
It may be better to use one battery for all pinpointers. It'll give you a proper baseline upon which to differenciate, otherwise great effort
Or make them all new batteries.
The makro and nokta are the same machine ,there's no way that makro was at full sensitivity my pulls signals on Australia n 1cent pieces at around 4 inches
great video :) like from me :)
how about a solid signal...? I saw blips.

Tek-Point beats them all hands down.Buy the Best and forget the rest.
Sounds good. I need to check it out.
you must have known i going to get a new one lol. i seen a new one called land an sea water proof at 99.00 . an get that foot well
+Testbox Testbox I saw it for a few time on Detector Comparison's channel. I haven't seen them for sale, yet but I haven't looked that hard.
My gp does just fine at half or less price.

Tekmau what scoop thing? He was at zero and how do you know it wasn't at Max sensitivity?
