Imagine if Hunter x Hunter pre-Dark Continent is just the intro and setup for the real saga and the Dark Continent arc is actually where it all begins.

This is easily the best break down of this on the internet currently. There are others, but they all skip past the set up needed for the story. Other videos just tell you that Ging and Pariston had an esoteric conversation, this is the only one I've seen that actually goes over the motives of Kurapika joining, good job!

This arc took me a solid month to get through because of how much dialogue and complexity was packed into these chapters. While I love this story I feel like there should have been more time to flesh out this information as I just got barraged with so much info that I immediately had to watch an hour long video just to make sure I caught everything I needed going into the next arc

The Dark Continent is something I always find myself coming back to and looking up no matter how much time has passed. It’s just beyond fascinating to me that a world like that exist, and even more that we learned about it at the end of the Gons story. Something about it just makes me think of our own world and what else is undiscovered, and what other kind of dangers there are in the Dark Continent. In my opinion a massive world beyond the world we already know, full of monsters and mysteries has to be one of the most interesting stories I’ve ever heard of in anime.
Check out Made in abyss that a huge part of that story. The abyss is so fascinating

Research flat earth. NASA and SpaceX and the other space agencies are clearly hiding Earth's version of "the dark continent".
I would recommend reading toriko which has something like this. It's also shounen but having baki character designs as mcs haha
Once dark continent continues i have a strong feeling it will be like one piece adventure but more darker and more serious type of adventure
I appreciate you mentioning that Kurapika brought a spade to the Uvogin fight, as someone once said, everyone should get daily reminders about that.
Still one of, if not the most badass moments in the manga/show

I skimmed all these chapters because I knew one day someone would summarize it. It's kinda hard to follow with the huge gaps in chapter releases. These were released over like 4 years of time. Good summary

@@protocetus499 youre acting as if a cliche is an inherently bad thing. If it works for the stort narratively and thematically then theres nothing wrong with it. Also its a shonen u dont need to put quotations over it just because people get decapitated in it

Well you got my like, and if it were up to me I'd just want you to cover the all of the succession arc that we have so far and not just individual battles, buuuut knowing how Togashi does exposition that might be a tall order to ask.

Leario is my favorite character. He is a great friend to gon and the rest of the cast and shows it many times in the series and also is a decently strong nen user and was able to upper cut ging with a satsifying "bang" sound which is one of my favorite parts in the series.

I would like to see the ocean outside the dark continent, as well as the other continents on the planet. But still though it's crazy how the countries in lake mobius is just a collection of huge continents; inside an enormous lake, which is in the center of a many times more enormous continent; which dwarf the lake at it's center. I wanna see the other continents on the surface of the planet, or is it just the Dark continent with the rest of the planet covered in water.
Reminds me of Toriko if you know about that series, the main area we’ve been focusing on is only a small part of the whole globe

Sooooooooo in the Dark Continent Arc they didnt even go to the dark continent and we only saw our main character once.
Gon isnt the main character right now. this isnt the first time this has happened either, in the yorknew city arc kurapika took the mantle of protagonist.
Wanted to read after binging the series but the art and college dissertation level world building made it impossible for us to get into it thank you for taking Time to create this!
