New subscriber here! 😀 I have had my 2001 Sportster 883 for about 25 months and NOW I find videos of people taking road trips on Sportsters. You are the first Canadian that I have come across. Thank You immensely for uploading your video!
Great video! Finally a travel video that shows something more than just the Highway. Well made. My dad was born not too far from Drumheller, in Three Hills, Alberta. I love that country around there. I ride an 06 Sportster 1200, been riding & camping for over 50 years. Keep making your videos!
In 10 days I’m setting off on a 10 ish day ride on my 2001 Sportster Hugger , Omaha Nebraska- Key west along the gulf coast , around the state of Florida. After 14 months of dialysis and a kidney transplant I’m living for today and taking this trip of a lifetime! Life is good.
@Laura Danielle it was incredible! 4520 miles, i am home safe thanks. Goto my channel and check out the videos i made from my Epic journey! While in Florida i did the Richard Petty NASCAR experience and rode in and drove a NASCAR stock car around Daytona super speedway ! I’m curious where you tent camped in the Keys! Ride safe sister!
Great video. I like the toughness on the sportster. You don't need a 40k plus Road glide to enjoy long trips. Earn that shit! Your channel should be much bigger than what it is.
Your video actually inspired me to do my own trip through this area and up to Jasper national park last summer. Check out my video! Not ready to get in front of the camera yet but still learning.
Nice! I ride my Dyna up here in the mountains in all kinds of conditions. The other day I rode at night in 34F degree weather, no windshield. Believe it or not I wasn't that cold, I have a heated vest with with spare batteries, its a lifesaver. I couldn't imagine a long ride without it, and it doesn't take up much space. On a long ride like that I'd buy heated gloves too with spare batteries. Also, a full face helmet with Rain-X for plastic is a life saver. I also carry an insulated full body jump suit as well as rain gear, that jump suit takes up a lot of space but I can handle some serious cold weather with it. Did a 9 hour trip last weekend, it was pretty crazy, heat, freezing cold, rain, hail, and perfect weather all in one weekend!
If you've never been to Badlands Park in S Dakota Laura, I would recommend riding there. Part of this looks similar. Guarantee you would love the ride around the park.
@@solo.roader Wonderful. I have relatives in Wall, been there a few times. Wall Drug is interesting too, but it's kind of touristy now. Used to be nicer.
Nice video :) I was wondering why she was wearing a Canadian and a Dutch flag on her jacket. The answer came at the end of the video, she is from Canada... I think :) The third flag I first thought was the flag of AUSTRIA, but it looks like the flag of LATVIA. Cheers from Norway
Ok, thinking about getting one but they are a bit pricey. What version is yours? I really like that it's not wide view. I've have enjoyed your videos, your very good at it. Be safe.
Back in 2013 I hit the soft shoulder on the highway while I was going about 80-90km/hr. I ended up doing a bit of damage to the bike ( the handlebars folded and dinged the tank). I got wicked road rash on my legs and sides, chipped some teeth, etc. I ended up sliding on my back and stopping in the middle of the highway. I had been listening to music at the time (Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now). When I stopped sliding, I looked up at the sun with that song playing and thought it was *the light* one may see when they’re dying. Now every time I hear that song, I chuckle. I swore I’d never ride again after that as the road rash was brutal, but it was my dad who fixed up the bike and told me to keep going. I’m so grateful he did! I’ve been looking for the same sporty tank that’s not damaged ever since (all the ones for sale have the same dent as mine..) . Just a few months ago one came up on Facebook marketplace for $200 and it’s not damaged! I bought it but don’t think I will install it for a while to come. I’ve come attached to the little dent on the tank. It’s a good reminder to stay focused, but more importantly to not quit when challenges present themselves! Wish I had a better story, like I rode through a gun fight and made it… or I outran some bad guys shooting at me. 😂
@@solo.roader What a scary and surreal thing to happen. I've had some tense situations on the bike, but nothing that's had me end up off the bike. Nod to your Dad and glad you decided to keep throwing a leg over. Must of been a tough choice after getting injured while riding. Like Block Head says, - "Ride Safe and Stay Vigilant" 👍🏼👍🏼
Brilliant vid beautiful country thanks :)
It really is!
Them roads are so lonely and the scenery so vast, I think I would get lost in my own head riding them.
This version of the song rivals Springsteen’s! “The Boss” was my favorite concert. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it!
Great shots perfect exposure great continuity. Perfect edit !!
WTG!!! 259,000 miles and counting on my 2006 Sportster, plus 3 Iron Butt Rallies. Properly set up they are fine for touring
Holy cow!
On a 883... your a rider, good times and making memories too. Thank you for sharing.

I’m Canadian. My background is part Latvian. Norway looks like a very beautiful country from the videos/photos I’ve seen! 🙂

I'm really enjoying your videos. What kind of camera are you using? Thanks
I just use my GoPro and my old iPhone!

So... the dint in your tank, you or some one else? (you can embellish, as I won't know) 👍🏼
