Congratulations on your videos !! They are very good, but I have a question about the 320 of Fslabs When something goes wrong, you have previously programmed it or it is automatic failure as a result of some bad action
+Luis Correas ... Thank you very much for the positive feedback! Yes, all failures here were programmed via the MCDU Failure page. However, there are some random failures that occur very rarely. For example I had one case where I couldn't raise the landing gear after takeoff. Regards
Hi BB. Great video, you make it look so easy. Bit confused on how you are using Selected Speed. I had assumed it only worked if the auto pilot had control of the engines through Auto Thrust but it appears that you have neither a/p or a/t turned on. So is the Selected Speed controlling the trim when you are controlling the power? Thanks Malcolm.
+Malcolm Grant .. Thank you! Selected speed only changes thrust to maintain speed with autothrust egaged. So if you use manual thrust like me (which you don't have to, you can leave autothrust on until flare), selected speed bug is only there for a reference. Sorry for the confusion. Happy Landings, BB

How do you plan the fuel for training circuits on PFPX? Let's say that you intend to do 5 touch and goes. How do you plan that on PFPX for it to calculate the fuel needed?
@@Blackbox711 thank you for the reply captain! I've been wondering about this for some years now (since I started to use PFPX in 2015), not specifically for the Airbus, but as a general doubt for other aircraft I have been using. What I usually do is fill it with some random amount of fuel within weight limits (say for example 10 or 15t for the A320, 15-20t for a wide body (A330, B777, etc), or... If using PFPX to calculate a non-random amount of fuel, I plan some short route departing from a certain airport and landing in the same airport then look at trip fuel calculated in the OFP, then re-build the flightplan adding the previously calculated trip fuel as tankering or extra fuel, then look at the newly calculated trip fuel and do this as many times as the number of touch and go that I plan to do. This is how I do it, I just asked you because I wanted to know if there was a different/better/propper way to calculate it. Many thanks!
Hi, I have seen your video and my a question is what is the factor for the descent? the flight is in manual mode so how is the plane descent to the rwy? thanks for the amazing videos,I learned a lot from them.
There are several techniques. The easiest tool to use is the FPV/Flight Path Vector. It shows the descent/climb angle on the PFD. Have a look through my videos, I am sure I made a tutorial on that.
Just another great video ! Thanks a lot ! I have a question regarding your first landing : you are in speed managed mode (7:34) but flying manually (no AP, no A/THR) thus the only advantage I can imagine is the speed bug on the PFD. Am I correct ? And since the subsequent landings are not monitored by the MCDU, speed managed mode wouldn't be available ?

Hi BB, a quick question. Is there an absolute location for the "fixed part of the window" that you mention for keeping the touchdown zone in? Obviously it will be different based on your default left seat camera setting. But is there a part that you usually use? or some industry standard? Thanks! This video helped me alot.
Hi Jack. Thank you very much. No, that place on the windshield is always different, depending on Flap configuration, approach speed, environmental conditions etc. So you first need to be on the correct path and then have a look where the touchdown zone is and try to maintain it in that specific spot on the windshield. Happy Landings, Blackbox
Andrea Calo.. of course. For each 100 ft height above runway threshold you take 3 seconds. So for a standard pattern altitude of 1500 ft, you have 45 seconds outbound time (touchdown zone until base turn). However you also deduct 1 second for each 1 knot tailwind component. In this example we had 9 kts tailwind, so the outbound time was approximately 35 seconds. Regards
Nice video, what do you use as camera tool? I have a bug where the fslabs just suddenly looses control when landing, and i wonder if its chaseplane, a bug in the plane or AS16+ASCA?

Thanks a lot for the detailed video! After many tries, I've got almost every phase down in the ToLiss A319 (in X-Plane), except the approach. I'm in EDDM, clear weather, pattern altitude 1500 above ground, until after about 45 seconds where I turn to base and start descending, and yet I'm practically always way too high. I don't know about the speeds, I often reach F-speed by the time I have to turn to base at least. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Viele Grüße aus San Francisco!
Oh. I just read your A320 vs. A319 document on the off chance that the A319 might be different, and seems that may be the case actually? You point out that given that it is lighter but with the same thrust (I use the CFM engines, and I only set it to a few passengers and light cargo), descent is a lot shallower. Weirdly enough, the rate looked okay to me (but I don't really know). Should I use the speed break, or stay on the downwind longer? Vielen vielen Dank nochmal für die Videos, hab auch auf Twitch abonniert und mal gespendet! 8)
Hi Julien. First of all a big thank you for your support! That is very kind and means a lot to me! The visual pattern is the same for both the A320 and the A319. The downwind should not be changed. However make sure that when you are turning base, you extend the landing gear and have idle thrust. Select Flap 3 and Full quickly and start a shallow descend at around 500 fpm. That should put you on the correct path for the final. Hope that helps and keep on practicing. Happy Landings, Blackbox
Hi, very Good video with a lot of interesting stuff. Which Airport Is this? It looks like a training airport, very simple with no complex scenario. Cheers !
Hi bb, thanks for the great video with facts and details how to fly a T&G as this is the next I will do with the A320 as soon as the update is out for version 4.2. I flown only the 777 or 747 + 737 mainly until now, so the landing with the A320 is still not always a great adventure for me. But now I saw some nice and interesting facts what to check during the approach and I will learn the flare. Question: Can you confirm that the landing rate presented and recorded by for example projectfly client is not presenting the real landing rate made with the airbus due to the suspension of the gear? I saw in your videos that you do not flair that much so it looks a bit "hard" but maybe its just in the flightsim and that the suspension is not really well simulated. Would be nice to know if you could give me your opinion on this. My projectfly landing rates are around -150ft/m up to -300ft/m. Thanks a lot
Hi. Thank you very much. A landing rate of -150 and lower is a very good Landing. Above 250 fpm would be positive, while anything above 350 fpm would be defined as hard. The Projectfly measured descent rates seem to be faulty sometimes. However the FSLabs A320 gives a pretty good feedback on the landing rate when you closely listen to the touchdown sounds it makes. Happy Landings
Thanks very much for your tutorial - really great and so useful you giving us the N1 settings etc. I've been using them on the MSFS 2020 Neo (A32NX) - so helpful.

Thanks for your reply! How do you keep the A/THR off when putting it into to TOGA for touch and go? Whenever I put the levers to TOGA A/THR reactivates? Thanks!
Thak you for Your awesome videos, but how ar you able to set TOGA thrust without the A/THR or FD kicking in? Everytime I try this, touch Down | trim in green band | thrust 50% manual (FD's OFF, A/THR OFF) | FLAPS 2 | setting TOGA thrust (move throttle levers to gate TOGA) = FD's and A/THR kicks in. What is it Im doing wrong?
+roar kverneng .. no, it is a bug. Whenever the A/THR is working correctly, it will activate automatically when selecting TOGA. Also the F/D will pop up automatically. You are doing everything correctly! Thank you and always happy Landings!
Thank you for Your answer. I tried the touch and gos With Flex Thrust, but always get a L/G GEAR NOT DOWN warning when retracting gears. It also show in amber LANDING INHIBIT after touchdown spooling up engines. This is probably also a bug.
Hi Peter. I definetly do not touch down with 400-500 fpm. You would hear that impact. Be aware of the fact that the V/S Indicator lags and takes a second or two to catch up with the present V/S. Regards
+Do The .. no problem. We all start somewhere. The numbers was the wind data (300 Degrees at 12 knots) and that would normally be given through the airport meteorological report (ATIS).
+David Terrero .. absolutely! It is a lot more expensive, so you can expect that. As I have said many times before, only buy the FSLabs A320 if you are willing to use all those extra features. Regards
Thanks Blackbox711 .. However, I cant make a single descent flight with my Logitech 3D Pro Joystick It all over the place jumping ( throttle lever); this wasn't as severe with aerosoft a320. anyone has a solution tried everything except replacing my joystick
+ovracvr .. you can change throttle lever settings in the FSLabs MCDU and set thrust lever ranges. Have a look in the manual or the FSLabs Forum. Regards
Blackbox711 Read FCTM please. Supplementary prcodure, touch and go. ""At nosewheel touchdown, the instructor pushes on the SPEED BRAKE lever to disarm the ground spoilers. The objective is to initiate the immediate retraction of the ground spoilers, and not to wait for their automatic retraction while the thrust levers are advanced. Carefully disarm the ground spoilers, so that the SPEED BRAKE lever is not moved. If the SPEED BRAKE lever is not in the fully-retracted position, the CONFIG SPEED BRAKES NOT RETRACTED alert will appear and the SPEED BRAKE lever will possibly command speed brakes extension. As per aircraft design, ground spoilers automatically retract when thrust levers are set above CLB detent.""
+Anton Gazaryan .. well, not sure which company FCTM you are quoting. At my company it says that the spoilers are not armed in touch and go patterns unless a full stop landing is intended. So maybe you stick to your FCTM and I will stick to mine.
Blackbox711 I believe it is standard airbus touch n go procedure, besides it's not very safe to perform runway touch without ground spoilers (especially for not experienced students).

Thanks very much for your tutorial - really great and so useful you giving us the N1 settings etc. I've been using them on the MSFS 2020 Neo (A32NX) - so helpful.
How do you get the efb to show up?
It was available only with the Sharklet versions.
awesome video man...thanks
Awesome video! What addon scenery is this?
+A380adrian .. Justsim Linz
HELP how do you select manual thrust after take off?
Hi. You press the red button on the thrustlever twice. Or press the A/THR button on the FCU (Autopilot).
Thanks for your reply! How do you keep the A/THR off when putting it into to TOGA for touch and go? Whenever I put the levers to TOGA A/THR reactivates? Thanks!
@@sbull5317 that is Airbus normal behavior. When selecting TOGA the ATHR re-engages. You have to double press the disengage buttons again.
@@Blackbox711 Thanks so much! appreciate your videos
What does Managed Speed do when Auto Thrust and AP are disabled?
+Thruzzd ... it uses the Groundspeed Mini Function. I have also made a video on that.
nice video!!! BTW where can i setting call out V1?
in the MCDU options page. Also please, google it. Hundreds of forums on this topic on the FSLABS page.
Awesome video! Thank You
Thank you very much!
This is probably also a bug.
maybe you always crash landing when touch down about 400-500fpm , do you using keybroud for fly ?~
Hi Peter. I definetly do not touch down with 400-500 fpm. You would hear that impact. Be aware of the fact that the V/S Indicator lags and takes a second or two to catch up with the present V/S. Regards
very informative thank you
Unter welchen Aspekt findet man die Platzrundenhöhe auf den Charts?
Hi Justin. Wird nicht veröffentlicht. Normalerweise ist eine Platzhöhe 1500 ft über der Runway
Blackbox711 Achso oke, danke :)
what is the scenery ??
Justsim Linz
What is 300/12, the number you entered in MCDU? And how could you know that number? Sorry for the stupid question. I'm still a dummy.
+Do The .. no problem. We all start somewhere. The numbers was the wind data (300 Degrees at 12 knots) and that would normally be given through the airport meteorological report (ATIS).
is the FS labs a320 better than aerosoft?
+David Terrero .. absolutely! It is a lot more expensive, so you can expect that. As I have said many times before, only buy the FSLabs A320 if you are willing to use all those extra features. Regards
Another great Video! Maybe you can make the same in one of PMDGs Boeing birds? ;)
+Sergio ... I'll try to make one.
Fantastic video!
Thank you very much Eric!
What airport was that?
+Svante Ersmark .. LOWL / Linz in Austria
Regards
Did once will check the manual and forum more thoroughly. thanks
With some patience I made it to work. I configured the detent zones while in flight; else it was cumbersome.
+ovracvr .. so I hope flying will now be alot better! Happy Landings
Thank you...
THANK YOU !!!!
Thank you for watching 👍🏼
Nice!!!!
thanks BB
+m4rtjones .. and thank you for watching
Spoilers must be armed on touch and go, they will retract when we set TOGA
Nope, Spoilers are not armed during touch and go patterns
You should upload your 737 hydraulic and engine failure with kiss landing.
Hi Abrar. I will do that next week. Thank you for watching 👍🏻
não gostei deste tutorial, em vez de aprensetares a imagem devias de ensinar a fazer o procedimento dentro do avião sempre é mais fácil, se fizesses isso era muito mais prático e muito melhor para aprender..
Are you a real A320 pilot?
Yes
