The original show hosts were the best. I especially miss Kathy and Steve Bryant. I remember watching the first QVC episode in 1986. I was 36 then and am 71 now. Home shopping channels have since gone to hell selling crap.
Gosh, this brought back so many memories of when Kathy was on QVC. This lady could sell the kitchen sink and everyone loved her because you thought you were buying a gem of a product. I remember my husband ordered me a sterling silver necklace from the original shopping channel and I was hooked soon after that. So many of the hosts share bits of their lives that you imagine they are your friends. I miss many of the hosts that have gone off in another direction, it isn't the same, but I guess nothing in life really is the same.
This is when you can laugh and shop like hell at the same time ! She made shopping fun ! QVC at that time stood up to it's name Quality Value &Convience ! Not no more the network has gone to Hell and dragging HSN right down with it ! The best is long gone !
I remember Rick when he first started. He was horrible but every older lady just loved him to pieces. That baby face. Was fun to watch Rick grow into the job.
That's when it was awesome! Invited them into my home like a big happy family. Now it's like a disfunctional messed up family rude hateful no fun at all. Oh for the good old days but they are gone sadly. Thanks for the memories
I remember the very first QVC show with Bob Bowersocks and Kathy Levin!!!!!! Epic, but now never watch anymore because it is not as entertaining!!!! Too bad I used to watch all day every day!!!!
Kathy was the host a purchased a necklace diamonique by the yard.. after 33 years I still watch QVC and order..I always liked watching her jewelry shows!
This is back when organizations celebrated their long time employees. Now they just kick them out the door. This is rarely done in today’s massive layoff culture of everyone over 50.
It is interesting see David when he was slimmer... and in a sharp business suit. Nowadays, he's a big, tubby, lovable "Big Fun" kinda guy who dresses casually and does a lot of cooking / food based QVC shows.
@@connieyoung4507 Yep. He's beginning to slim down. Heck, he's on the tube now as I speak. He's doing good. He was getting awfully bloated, before but he looks beter, now.
Great Stuff & God sorry to say…I actually REMEMBER Kathy leaving QVC. But oh but, the ☝️ major person missing was Mike Rowe! Those ✌🏼 were the essence of QVC (along w Joan Rivers of course). Kathy & Mike had a kind of unsaid, remote, romantic connection. Their banter said it all; they adored each other & charged the 📺 screen with a Living, Loving television electricity ⚡️. Again…amazing stuff.
I watched this last show of Kathy Levin and love seeing all the old time show hosts! I used to have Q on as background noise. Not any more. QVC you stink now!
Kathy is back. She is selling her own line of diamonique jewelry. She is doing really well and is on at least once a month. Originally because she fell in love and wanted more time to be with her husband now
You're right, Bob last appeared on QVC on Sunday December 14, 2008. He was likely pushed out due to ageism and they replaced him with David Venable. Dave King was also let go around this time.
I hope her recent return to QVC has humbled her massive ego somewhat. She is an example of "what not to do" should you be lucky enough to achieve fame.
Cable Value Network (CVN) was a defunct shopping channel based in Minnesota that QVC bought out in 1989. CVN Program Hosts Mary Beth Roe, Judy Crowell, among others were invited to positions at QVC in Pennsylvania.
I always loved watching Kathy Levin
Kathy and Joan....the BEST!
I started watching QVC when QVC first aired, I was only 17 now I'm 52 and still watch, and buying from QVC.

And what they did to Carolyn and Dan was crazy too. I no longer shop there.

This is definitely the best sendoff QVC ever gave any host.
This was fun to watch. It made me laugh, cry & think of the good old days! 🥰
I remember watching this live. Seems like yesterday.
I remember Rick when he first started. He was horrible but every older lady just loved him to pieces. That baby face. Was fun to watch Rick grow into the job.
I do not think he was horrible. He is a great host now. Miss MY Pillow also. So sad things got so political.
@@johnreymann5470 Unfortunately that's what happens when someone proves themselves to be insane.
I haven’t been watching QVC in years
When Kathy's rinb became available on QVC I ordered my wife one as a Christmas gift ❤
Every workplace in the world nowadays lets people go without a second thought. So sad.

Back when QVC was FUN!
I laughed and I cried! Love Kathy!
Awe, Joan Rivers the same can be said about you. You are missed.

How wonderful to find this video.
Miss all the originals!
She was good the old QVC she looks great
Thank you for posting this!!! I had this on VHS for years but it was damaged.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Oh that's funny but I bought and still have that heart shaped ring.
Wonderful
Why are they taking all the good hosts off qvc. QVC has changed so much in a bad way.
Oh my gosh, David Venable. I hardly recognized him.
This is when companies actually had somewhat feelings and respect for their employees. Now that is gone.. sad.. incredibly sad..
This is back when u could afford the products...just look at those prices!!
Still have that ring.
Was it really 21 years ago? WoW!
QVC never gives send offs anymore. Wow they’ve gone so downhill.
That's when qvc was good. Now it stinks.
It does stink and their products sure lack quality too. I used to buy so much diamonique back then. Not anymore, it’s terrible.
@@roxxigirl1320 I agree with you 100%. a lot of junk, and poor customer service.
Kathy and Joan Rivers was my favorite. I had so much fun watching them.
@@phillygirl52jax44 How I miss Joan River , RIP Joan !
AMEN
Loved the early hosts, little before my time. Wow, MotorMouth Ric is still blonde after all these decades?

Who cares...used to, not anymore.

The way that jane rt is looking at her, is very All About Eve.😆😆😆
I ain't mad at her! I'm probably looking the same way!!! Hahaha 🤣😂

Loved QVC then and now. Just different. Things have to change.
Thanks for the jeffrey!!!!
Wow, that was a long time ago. Everyone looks so young

Kathy, Judy, and Lisa R.....3 sexy, classy , beautiful women back when and still today!!!!😁
What happen to Bob ? One Sunday he was on the next I never saw him or heard of him anymore.

I wouldn’t watch qvc now if you paid me.
Did she leave on her own, or was she let go?
Kathy Levine left QVC to start a syndicated talk show. It didn't come to fruition.
@@tealsunset4026 Some luck, huh? I liked her and her talk show would have been fun.
Judy Crowel was married to a host named Jeff. What happened ??? Where is he now
Judy & Jeff's story is recounted in Kathy Levine's book "It's Better to laugh." As to what happened to Jeff after he left QVC...who knows?
Jeff apparently passed away a while ago.
Jane Tracy’s look in the thumbnail says it all 😂 she’s thinking, get this Bit*h outta here and put a camera on me already
Sadly for Jane, she didn't become QVC's top female host until almost 15 years later when Lisa Robertson left!
The Host acts like we should know him....how unprofessional. ALWAYS introduce yourself.
Love Kathy!
His name is Paul Kelly and he was there from the start helping to build QVC.
I wonder how her and Lisa Robertson felt about each other off screen. Seems there is a little underlying dislike there.
kacijay1 today 2020 and they still big friends
