"I can't really tell any difference between this and the Nissin ZeroSum 7:3 360." That's a bold statement, though your bona fides are enough for me...and I have the ZeroSum; excellent rod for presenting weighted flies. It's a rod I take when mid-teen Browns are a possibility, because the rod tends to over-horse the little Brookies of my home streams. Excellent little stream!
Another informative and entertaining video. Thank you Tom. Just what I need is another rod but it definitely looks like a great rod. I am a huge fan(and supporter $$🙄) of DRAGONtail Tenkara but I’m almost disappointed to see them come out with a rod in this retail price range. They have (in my opinion) revolutionized the affordable “one stop shop” USA sold non Japanese Tenkara rod market. But (usually) you do get what you pay for. It is clearly “progress” by Brent and I’ll continue to own and support DRAGONtail. Thanks again! Neil
They are somewhat similar, but the Kokoro is slightly longer, slightly heavier, and has a stiffer T1 and a softer T2 section. Overall, the differences are minuscule and likely not perceived by most people.
These two rods don’t really compare. The Ragnarok is a 4 meter rod where this rod is a 3.6 meter rod. This difference in rod length really makes a huge difference in tip heaviness and overall balance.
Tom, great video. I ordered mine as soon as they became available

New rod review from you is always interesting. Thanks a lot
Another winner from DTT
Impressive with all of that brush I would have been hooking branches all day instead catching fish?

How does it compare to the TB36?

Comparisons between something like the ragnarok 400? I got the ragnarok and it’s a great length for me but a little too heavy.

Whats the tool your using to release? The rod looks great too!
I used two. One is homemade and the other is a standard Ketchum Release Tool.
Would you use #3 fc level line on it?
Yes, that would work very well.
