I see you have solid axle I have a 98 s10 blazer 4x4 all s10 axles and in 28 years I only broke 1 front end and 2 rears I have had 600 horse 350 now I'm going 454 BBC
Thank you for the video really help me out ive got a 47 ihc kb1 on s10 frame with a 496 stroker was stumped on what to use for headers looked all over internet for clues to what guys were using but there ya go leave it up to us kansas boys to figure it out lol well if you ever want to do a little street racimg im down here im vassar ks thanks again
Why not use electric fan? I used a dual electric fan I bought from a junkyard. I pulled it off of an Aurora, Northstar V8. It cools amazing and takes up less space. I just got to the part you explained it.. I had zero issues cooling my mildly built, 1979 454 in my bogger with my set up. Maybe try it sometime. Beautiful build!
The headers are 8012 patriot headers and yes driver header is now on . You do.have to modify frame a little , heat and hammer it in on top edge a 1/4 inch . Email me at backyardbuilttrucks1@gmail.com i can show you all the pictures . Thanks
I've done 6 S10 conversions all with LS engines and yours being a big block is sweet. I think going with manual fan is going to be a mistake and being a flex fan those blades will flatten out under high rpms. Every one I've done I used electronic fans. I reposition radiator inside front radiator support and use high flow electric twin fans. All were fuel injected with computer from donor truck and I reprogram pcm to over ride security pass lock. I'm doing one now in a 91 s10 4 wheel drive and using 40 trans.
tlt40s&w 70 I used a 4 core radiator from a Chevy K30 it was to big I had to cut out core support, it is literally radiator from headlight to headlight. electric spal fans on it now.
backyardbuilttrucks1 I meant no disrespect at all. It takes a lot of work to put a iron big block in a s10 chassis and people don't realize the time and know how to do it. Like I said I do the LS conversions and then it's a lot because most of my customers want fuel injection and I build the harnesses as well. I'm now doing my own but in a 4 wheel drive s10 this time. I'm not building it for speed so it will be a basic swap. I'm doing a rear dif swap as well and it's out of a 2000 blazer 4 wheel drive and it's limited slip so that's a plus.
tlt40s&w 70 no disrespect taken, this truck is a solid axle 4x4 s10, I have videos of my big blocked 2 wheel drive build up as well, I did it to prove you can without hacking up the truck and don't need high dollar headers. I like the looks it gets when they see the big block stuffed in it.
backyardbuilttrucks1 I've got your channel and when I finish I will send you pics from under the hood to the rear bumper. I can't understand why GA never built this truck without a version. They could have sold tons of these trucks with the VA option.
The tubular A-arms that you spoke in your video said that you needed to use either two lefts or two rights what year vehicle are they made for or what do we ask for how do we order them thanks for all help made a big difference also in one of your videos you said that you could send a build sheet of everything that we need if that's possible that would be great thanks again Steve
Nice truck man I have a 89 s10 blazer 350 tbi and it runs good but looking for a good Radiator and I’m thinking about doing what you did for the big block that big radiator for Cora do you know what year 1 ton truck
So technically, if you got a big block in there with 67-81 Patriot clippster BBC headers, you should be able to get a small block with the corresponding 67-81 SBC Patriot clippster headers to fit with minor or no mods, on the driver's side, correct?
TargaWheels This truck is 4wd with a 10 bolt full size front axle also a 3 inch body lift . big block headers route different then small block headers do . I would look at how they are shaped before buying them .

badass, we just did a bbc vette swap and had to use the short pump settup as well. also the patriot headers are nice i also have them on my silverado,

backyardbuilttrucks1 v8 option
if you go back fuel injection you can , you can carburetor wise also but most times pump won't last long running all the time.
thank you and also do u know wat headers i could use in the 1995 or manifolds
I moved mine 1 inch to the driver side , where it comes through the firewall

do you have a part number on the headers and radiator
Nice truck man I have a 89 s10 blazer 350 tbi and it runs good but looking for a good Radiator and I’m thinking about doing what you did for the big block that big radiator for Cora do you know what year 1 ton truck
I was wondering if you could give me the part number for the driver side header they used thank you
wanting to do the same thing on a 2000 LS Blazer 4x4....dunno if i can clear the factory IFS differential
Do you have to change coil springs in the front suspension. And will the top and bottom A arm be strong enough
Thanks for the Header info .
Steering box, @ your header on driver side.
I run 18 inch electric fan on my BBC s10 daily driver and it runs around 185 to 195 in traffic
It looks good in there but can I get the same results in a 1996 S10 extended cab?
What year is the green s10 thanks
What trans you using?
What headers did you use
What oil pan are you using? Looking good, Man!
Hey how does the patriot headers work with the steering shaft

Moved it at firewall 1 inch and used a Jeep ujoint style lower shaft
Is the 2wd engine crossmember the as a 4wd ? It would be great if you could pictures or video of the notched out engine crossmember, thanks..
Not the same , watch my newer videos shows it.
@@backyardbuilttrucks1 Going to use stock pan, thanks I'll watch all of them.
Did you notch the frame for the oil pan?And how many qt oil pan are you using ?
what manifolds did you use?
Michael Burnette
I used headers for a 1967 camaro , patriot h8012 , or big block chevelle manifolds 68 to 72
look at my 2wd big block build for better for headers
