I had just the same issue with my Tikka T1X and I must say Tikka simply swapped the rifle and the replacement shoots lights out great customer service from these guys
Thank you for this fantastic video! I am a long time T1X shooter and had no idea about these magazines. I think they will be a game changer on my stages that require 12 shots.
Interesting barrel compared to the Sako...which was close to perfect! We aren't allowed magazines over 10 shot in NZ by law sadly, those magazines look excellent. Also very hard to find Woox here! Another excellent video thanks Josh!
chur i got my first tx1 last week its a mean little gun. cost alot for me though. i pretty sure tikka and sako are the same company. who needs more then ten shots when you can just swap mags i suppose, still sucks though. but yeah thats how it is i suppose.
Very nice video. The Tikka looks great in the WOOX Furiosa chassis. So glad to see it shoot as good as it looks. Looking forward to seeing how much more accuracy you pull out of it with future changes !
That looks awesome! It take me right out of the factory class in NRA, ARA and any other group that has a factory class. Definitely a shoot. I use the Tenex and get similar groups, but the lesser brands not so much. Great video!
Before going to the expense of a barrel change, try using JB Bore Bright IAW the instructions. It may polish out the places that are causing problems. It certainly won't hurt.

My T1x fitted in a GRS Sporter Nordic Wolf really likes the SK Biathlon Sport. 337m/s or 1106 fps for you guys in US, they gives me between 7 - 8mm or 0,150" - 0,300" groups all day even with 10 shoot groups at 50 meters or 55 yards. Also the Lapua Polar Biathlon gives me the same groups but they are more expansive. And it shoots better with my A-Tec Wave Carbon silencer than without. And at 100 meters or 109,3 yards the SK Long Range Match have been awesome with 13,3mm or 0.523 as my best. My best grouo is 2,94mm or 0,115" with SK Rifle Match.
You do a fantastic job on your videos, thank you! How much of a job is it to make the Woox Chassis work for the Tikka T1X? I am very interested in this for my Tikka. I have also sent an Email to Woox asking if they will be making these available for this gun. Thanks again!!
I've had my T1x for a couple of years now, shooting NRL22 and precision rimfire matches and has always been a respectable shooter with a preference for SK Long Range. I would always get at least one wild flyer during a match though. I mean a good 30cm off target. Frustrating. It's currently away for a new barrel - 22" straight taper. I'll see how this addresses rifle balance and the consistency of accuracy.
That far off target I would be thinking it might be ammo related. Sometimes my ears can tell a story when a shot is that far off. I believe those new chronographs might help tell a story. Rabbit hole story.... I sort my ammo by rim thickness, and at least 1-2 rounds out of say 200 are really out of spec. I don't see as many fliers as I sort, last year I shot 9k ish rounds with pretty good consistency for bulk ammo, not too many fliers
@wowguy3562 understand what you're saying and if it was a budget ammo then possibly. But these rounds feel no different when you shoot them and this isn't a margin of error with respect to velocity, these rounds will skew laterally. Just really bizarre!
I've got an Element Optics Theos and they come with an aperture ring in the box for the depth of field improvements that brings. Great tool when you need it.
@PursuitofAccuracy I was hesitant with paying for a premium scope, but boy, does it deliver! I absolutely love the reticle and there are a number of guys I compete with who are considering one. Many of whom are currently using top scopes like an ATACR.
@PursuitofAccuracy for anyone with an interest in photography, it's like a "Well, of course it does." type comment but for us simple trigger jockeys, it's like being shown the wheel for the first time. 😄
I need to get my hands on a cz 457 or a t1x. My only gripe is the smaller mags vs the aics style that vudoo, bergara, rimx and mpa rimfire use. Be interested to see the accuracy after rebarreling. Interested to see the review on the "aperture reducing ring".
I have never had a cz mag 455/457 fail to feed, my vudoo has bound up a few times (mag issue only), but after a greaseless shot of teflon 3m dry lube, and tons of use, the vudoo feeds well.
@wowguy3562 probably why they use the mags they do. I think I've only ever seen one person have a feed issue with the CZ. But it was if I remember right due to a bad mag. My rimx had a couple. And now my MPA rimfire which takes vudo mags has had constant feed issues even with mag loaded correctly. But I've only got 50 rounds down the barrel.
The ammo supply ran dry on me and by the time it came back the different lots would have skewed results. I will refilm it in 1 video once i get the top performers at the house
Sucks that Tikka T1Xs are hit-or-miss, at least on Utube... the 3 I have are all superb shooters, 1 old style wire ejector and 2 new plastic ejectors. I would really like to see 1. Woox chassis mods to get T1X magwell to fit and 2. Replacement barrel install. There's nothing wrong with my T1X accuracy, but in MDT XRS it needs MDT fore-end weight, a pair of GrayOps weights & a weighted Area419 ARCA rail just to get neutral balance... a heavier barrel would really help. Hopefully NDR delivers mags early November. On RFC & SH with same name w/o the #s
@@PursuitofAccuracy Thank you so much for your response, I'm upgrading my scope and was looking at ffp. If it's good enough for Josh, it'll be good enough for me 😁
