WOW!!! I READ THAT ROBERT BLAIR PASSED AWAY IN 2001 THE SAME YEAR WITH WILLIE NEAL JOHNSON OF THE GOSPEL KEYNOTES. THEY BOTH HAD GREAT GROUP. I LIKE BOTH OF THEIR GROUPS
I just love and respect their true- to -God voices and delivery of GOD's words and works through their deliveries; professionals in every sense of defining gospel music.
Thank you so much for sharing this. This was great. They didn't do it much LIVE but I absolutely loved hearing Blair singing just a portion of "Groovin' WIth Jesus" at the end (47:52-48:44). Now that is a song the modern Violinaire group's need to revive.
@@aaronthomas2958Especially in the 1990s I remember seeing them play it a few times on shows as the group came out on stage but they would never sing it. I always was hoping they would.
Thanks for sharing. My dad took me to see them every year when I was young. I loved to hear them sing and they were our favorites. I remember Blair and Shot well and have had a playlist of their songs on my cell for years.
The mighty golden bells went to see Robert Blair and the violinairs they were performimg in garner NC at The school The mighty clouds of Joy was there Bob Washington and The gospelairs was there after The violinairs sung the people clapped them on stage 4 time's The congregation walked out they didn't want to hear The mighty clouds the people bought all of The violinairs albums from the general
I also grew up listening to Little Shot singing it to! And I am not offended in any way!!! I know, and you know as well as everyone else knows, the little one, as we called him, was the very best of all top singers, period!!!! I was just honored to have come behind such a legendary figure!!!
Is it a note that Lil shot couldn’t hit that blue note at 3:47 in the Lord’s Prayer was something serious I can only imagine him hitting at a younger age when his voice was a lot stronger
I have a question who is that lead guitar player playing those fast licks I know Maurice Morgan is playing the other player is killing those licks thanks
That is Sherrod Barnes who is apart of the Barnes family, and use to play with Luther Barnes. The Fantastic Violinaires used Luther Barnes band that night.

That was a wig shot had on Lol 😂
A lot of the quartet singers from the 80s and 90s wore wigs because they were actually bald. In those days it was taboo to not have hair
I thought it was a WIG Close up. 😂
Robert Blair was cousin to my husband
Where he leads me I've always enjoyed shot singing this. Not taking nothing from Danny. Grew up on shot.
No one does it better than Lol Shot! The originator!
