To answer your question: An Ironman is definitely harder.
I vividly remember playing 20 back to back matches a long while ago and not getting disconnected once.
And that wasn’t even with a LAN adapter.

New rules for iron mans: Loses vs Steve / Kazuya don't count and you get 1 extra chance to complete it if you lose. Because if Marss can't complete an iron man no one can...
