Thank goodness you are OK Simon. It just shows how something like that can happen to anybody. Well done for relating all the details. Best wishes for a full recovery.
@@TheCountryTraveller yes out in the mountains or in the outdoors in general things can and do go wrong ! A mistake on kit selection like here ) or indeed a kit failure or a natural hazard ⚠️ Dealing with that risk as a family man doing this as a hobby is a mind game to be honest Rob! A nugget I do bring to mind was a quote from Max Storror one of the parkour team operating out of Brighton (they do crazy high risk stuff) from our perspective ! But he said driving down a single track road you only one mistake yours or another’s from a bad day ! That’s how I balance the climbing (or try to !) Thanks again and best regards Simon 🤠👍
Thanks Michael your right it was a close shave and nine months later you do think boi I got lucky 🍀 But fit and well now thanks to time and some great med care ! Best wishes Simon
That's life, Simon, something always has to happen first, but we absolutely have to learn from it. You analyzed it very well. Your friend did exactly the right thing, alone without a cell phone, that would have ended in disaster. All the best, my friend. Life must go on 🙏

Oh Simon.😲 Sorry about what's happened to you in the Alps and we are glad that you are alive. I think that our life is a kind of school where we learn in good and bad ways, but now when everything is over (fortunately well) who knows how better crampons would hold that ice. It is important that you are here, alive and well. You should always be careful, but I think you know that yourself. Wow, what an intense experience! Glad you made it through safely Simon. This really shows how unpredictable nature can be, even with all the planning. Your ‘Room with a View’ comment made me chuckle-definitely not the usual kind of scenic stay! We're so glad you’re okay and that the rescue went smoothly. It could have been much worse. It’s great that you’re taking this experience as a lesson learned. You’ve got a strong spirit to keep moving forward!

Wow, that was dam scary, absolutely terrifying experience and it's only when you actually see that glacier you realise how bad it was but also how bad it could have been. 😱😱😱😱😱 Simon!!!! That was so scary to listen to - but I'm beyond relieved to hear that there was nothing more serious. You definitely got away luckily in some respects. Amazing really to think that you even considered strapping in and doing the next via ferrata stretch?! That cast really was something else. I injured my shoulder (a fall from hanging - rotator cuff tear) so I know sort of how you must be feeling. I think back and find it incredible how a split second slip/fall/accident can affect you for so long afterwards. This was a really good debrief, and an important lesson to learn (with a bad accident, but as you say luckily not life threatening or something that will massively alter your whole future!) Again, so pleased to hear about the recovery and hope you have since been going from strength to strength 🫶 Sending big hugs from me and Hannah!
Thanks Loz yes those shoulder injuries really do take time to heal up don’t they (it was about 6 months before I could boulder climb ) and a little longer before I’d trust my right arm on a rock climb but nine months afterwards I’m well and pretty much to full fitness (thankfully 🤠🙏🏼) And have since been back in the mountains enjoying those high places! Simon .. ive had a fall up high , it changed me forever . I hardly ever allow my down slope unprotected since . . This will never ever leave you . It was the same when i mountain biked , i used to whizz down hills . I have this saying " youll miss your legs when they are gone " Those micro spikes ive had before , the elastic weakens after an hour or two . Did the heel go on them ? I didnt realise this happened to you . So lucky but so unlucky . Its called being shook , what you were experiencing after you got yourself to safety . Brilliant retrospective . . Thanks for sharing.

@@SetForAdventuresah stupidly my injury was sustained on a very icy Scafell Pike, with not much better than £1 shop “crampons”. It was dark and I was carrying a torch and a Nordic stick with ice attachment and unbeknownst to me the little spikes that there were had completely eroded so I went into an uncontrollable slip and with my hands full thought landing on my behind would be the safest option. Six to eight weeks of no sitting down and driving taught me otherwise. Didn’t learn my lesson from that either, bought a £20 pair thinking that “I’d really invested”, almost got blown off the near top of Skiddaw the year later when the spikes couldn’t prevent me from not staying on my feet in 60MPH gusts near the summit. But on that day whilst I was as close to the ground as possible holding onto anything I could to not get blown away I saw the odd person walking past me without a care in the world. They were all wearing bright yellow crampons.. a retreat down the mountain with my tail between my legs and a google later.. GRIVEL. Never looked back!

Hey Simon! You don't need me or anyone else to tell you that you're a lucky guy and I'm happy that it wasn't any worse. Good on you for sharing your experience, it takes a lot to admit you messed up. Wishing you a full recovery and hope to see you out and about again soon. Best wishes to you and your family. Ian and Meg 🙋♂🐶
Thanks for that Ian 🙏🏼yes lucky indeed mate 🙏🏼(thankfully I’ve made a full recovery the shoulder did take 6 to 7 months mind ) before I could boulder with confidence! But definitely got back on the horse mate as this was 9 months ago now! very best regards to you and yours👍 Simon🤠
O my, I’m so thankful you are recovering well Simon! What a shock- I think it’s great you were conscious and got yourself up to a spot where you could be air lifted out. Awesome to have John there with you to help! Yes, must have been hard on your family- I’m sure they were relieved to get you back home. Thanks for sharing your story- a vivid reminder for all of us to take care! Be safe and be well Simon! Love from Washington! ❤❤ - Jen
Absolutely! John was solid that day if I’d of been solo I’d of been marooned till the following day at the earliest (that thought really isn’t worth too much mind 😱) very scary feeling waiting to be rescued! Knowing that you can’t climb or descend and without the modern technology you might not get off the mountain 🏔️ (I was lucky fellow that day🙏🏼) But thankfully I did get off and have climbed since (got back on the horse so to speak) Parts 3 and 4 of this story to follow Jennifer 🏔️👍🇩🇪 But thanks for your kind words and thoughts Simon 🤠👍
Whoh Simon I can't believe this happened, and I agree that God was really looking after you but so scary having had to go with the helicopter and hospital. We depend so much on crampons but sheer ice is so dangerous and its good that you shared this to tell the importance of wearing the correct crampons like John did. Wow 100 metres is a lot to fall and to see all of that blood, very scary🥺 but its good that you advised us all to always take the right equipment. Good thing that John was there especially after you lost your phone and watch and wouldn't have been able to call for help. Your family must have been soo worried. I know that you are so experienced in climbing and this could happen to anyone. Gripping to watch the footage and listen to your story. Hope you are improving daily with all of the physio and thanks for sharing this scary experience so we can all be more vigilant on these mountains🙏👍~ Anna
Thanks Anna definitely feeling better now this was nine months ago and have climbed since but the feeling of helplessness not being able to climb or descend was and still is the thing i remember the most ! With out modern technology it would of been touch and go to be honest (at best a long night until early climbers the following day could start / inform a rescue) And guilt is a thing too ! Climbing mountains isn’t necessary but we do it ! Why ? It’s a deep question and to be honest there isn’t one answer (would make a great film in its own right) But thanks again Anna please give my regards to Alf and your family 🙏🏼 Simon 🤠
Thanks Simon yes I’m fine now and been climbing since 🏔️🙏🏼 As this was 9 months ago now! So thankful it wasn’t as bad as it could have been! Best wishes Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Wow, what a precarious climb... So sorry you got injured but from the looks of that mountain you could have been far worse off... I worry about ice on simple slopes in small patches let alone a glacier. Glad you are recovering well my friend. Thank God for rescue service professionals.
Definitely agree Max the rescue services where top draw 👌🏻🇩🇪 I’d of been toast without them and John my climbing partner! But doing ok now thankfully 🙏🏼 Best regards Simon 🤠👍

And now the end of your last video makes sense. Life can change in an instant and the realisation changes so much. We enjoy these activities and over time while everything goes well we become so confident in our abilities and sometimes overconfident. Having an accident does make us reassess things. As you say, you only have to slip. Climbing as a teenager I did have a few slips but had always taken sufficient precautions to avoid injury. Even into my 50`s I still was confidently scree running and boulder hopping until one day the other side of a gap was not where I thought it was and a heavy landing on both knees on rock did a bit of damage. Nothing like as bad as your scraping of your elbows but I stopped jumping about quite so much. I also finally got my eyes tested as it was obvious that things were not always where I imagined. So many factors contribute to accidents and we cannot avoid all risk but I can hear as you speak that even more careful consideration will result from this experience. I have actually visited the hospital in Garmisch. A friend I had made hitch-hiking lived in Oberammergau. I had visited him while cycling through the Alps on this occasion. An Italian guy he knew had an accident while climbing nearby and was in the hospital. He drove and I cycled to the Hospital and paid a visit. I remember sitting in the sun chatting of the balcony looking at that view you shared. I then continued to Innsbruck while my friend stayed. Hope that this is the last accident that you have to endure and best wishes for your next adventure. When you are able continue what you enjoy doing and have many more great adventures. Stay safe and well. Robert & Ivor
@@IvorsTravels Robert , Ivor thanks for your really nice comment guys and your story of your own accident it definitely does make you think and weigh the gains against the risks with pursuing adventures where things can go wrong even when mistakes are made (like with me ) it would make an interesting film in its own right ! But fortunately I’m well and healthy and have been back in the hills and mountains since (this accident happened nine months ago now) and it’s been a long journey considering when if and how to return to the Zugspitze 🏔️🇩🇪 Have a great weekend guys when it arrives and again appreciate the kind thoughts 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Simon 🤠🏔️
I am so sorry to hear that Simon, it's still a serious injury since you required operation secondary to the big chunk of skin laceration over your arm, I could imagine the amount of bleeding, and you've been on your third day in the hospital but I understand, the risk for infection that's why you have to stay for your antibiotic therapy, and physiotherapy for your old shoulder injury, but still thank God you didn't have a broken bone, like you've said, it could have been worse considering that height of the fall 100 meters wow, pretty scary. I learned a lot from this video at your expense so sorry again. Yeah there;'s not much snow, mainly ice so very slippery on a very steep Mountain cliff, and I will remember your word "don't compromise" I may not be climbing Mountains like you but I can always apply that to a lot of real life situations that can affect the safety of my body. Hoping for a quick recovery. That can be very hard for your family hearing the news, but it will only increase your family bond, and the gift of life. Glad to hear form you now talking. Have a blessed day!
Thank you Lino yes not the trip John and I where hopping for and a hard lesson learnt too but so very lucky to get away with this so relatively lightly 🙏🏼🙏🏼 This incident happened nine months ago now so happy to say I’m fit and well and apologies for not getting back sooner! (Lizza Skye and I have been away for a week in Switzerland 🇨🇭 following your footsteps guys 🙏🏼) Thanks once again best wishes to Line 👍 Lizza and Simon
Sounds like a very traumatic experience Simon with your life flashing before your eyes. I bet you'll be a little more apprehensive about things going forwards. Great advice on making sure you're equipped right and not scrimp to make your pack lighter. I'm glad to see you lived to tell the tale. Look forward to you getting back on the horse or should I say the mountains 👍
Absolutely Paul the right kit is a must ! But luckily things where not as bad as they could of been (I got lucky 🍀) I think it was more stressful months after to be honest (guilt & embarrassment ect ) as at the time it was a case of trying to get oneself off the mountain with out calling the cavalry trying to work the problem! (this of course was nonsense) as soon as the fall had happened I was done I just didn’t know it until i recrossed the glacier and started the second. climb (didn’t get far ) But thankfully nine months later I’m back at it and even more careful than before 🙏🏼🏔️🙏🏼 Thanks again mate Best regards Simon 🤠
You were very lucky Simon, if you can call it that, to come away with this injury and not something more serious. I'm glad you are recovering and getting there slowly but surely. Did John have to hike down solo? Like you said, 40 years without an accident is a great record. I'm just glad you are safe. I bet the family was worried sick. Did they foy out or wait for you to come home. I bet it was an emotional reunion. Did you have to take out extra insurance for alpine climbing? I hope this doesn't stop you from living your best life. But I think you will second guess yourself for a while. The big question is, will you go back? I don't blame you if you don't, and it is easy for me to say, but I hope you will go out and show the mountain that you can conquer her. As for those spikes. I've worn them once, lost one, carried on, lost the other. I even backtracked to try and find them but no luck. I have really enjoyed this debrief and I'm glad you are on the mend, Simon. Take care, and love to the family.
Thanks Chris yes I’m doing well and back climbing again🏔️ (needed to get on the horse again after this one) this incident was nine months ago and dealing with the guilt of putting your family through stress for what in the end is unnecessary was challenging 🥹 but they have been very supportive for which I’m thankful 🙏🏼 Yes I insured with mountain sport cover essential in the Alps as getting down or up with stretchers would be very very difficult at best (thanks for modern technology 🚁) I have been back on the big mountains since this after 6 months to get my shoulder strong and so I could trust it again there is a part 3 and 4 to this adventure 🏔️🇩🇪🤠 Not sure if I’ll post them after this episode of post a lighter hike or walk to break things up a bit ??? But thanks again for your support Chris over on Insta back a while (meant a lot mate 🙏🏼) Best regards Simon 🤠👍🏔️
I hope you are healing well! This is a risk of following our passion 😊😊. You never know when something happens and even experienced instructors can't predict things like that. I probably would use microspiks too, but to my defence I never had any problems with climbing clear ice in them.
Yes your are right with passion’s there is always a small chance of an issue with risky spots such as climbing or scuba ect (thankfully I’m ok now as this was nine months ago ) and back enjoying the hills and mountains 🏔️🙏🏼🤠 Thanks for your kind wishes 👍 Simon
Wow Simon. You were in very good spirits such a short time after and able to describe the situation. When you came back you said it was 10 weeks later. Did this happen late last summer? I think I must have missed that bit of information. You told me you were going to Switzerland. Are you able to now climb or will Switzerland just be a hiking or sight seeing trip. I had a similar thing happen to me. I'll describe it in answering your comment on my channel.
@@potentialreality your right I did seem up beat but the feelings of failure and guilt where heavy and hurt more than the pain in my body! But luckily I’ve squared that psychological burden since and have climbed since this accident which was right at the end of the summer climbing season last year 2023(hence the dry glacier) So right now I’m fully fit thankfully and hopefully get some climbing done in Switzerland (in fact I just got back from Bavaria 🏔️🇩🇪) but that’s for another film upcoming (kind of part 3 & 4 of this adventure 🏔️) But thanks so much Bret for your kind wishes 🙏🏼 Simon 🤠👍
@@SetForAdventures Yes, I am sure a small thing like this wouldn't discourage you. I of course am laughing because I realize had the accident been much worse you still would have bounced back with the same enthusiasm to get back out on the mountain. My last climbing trip was supposed to be with three others. Two of us were less experienced including myself and the other two absolutely were expert climbers and spent all their time climbing. One of the expert climbers, I am forgetting his name as I would have met him for the first time on the climb but he was well known appearing often in climbing magazines. My less experienced friend and I were unable to make the trip because of work obligations that were last minute. The climb was based in Pinnacle National Park about a two hour drive south of San Francisco. The expert climber I mentioned was on a wall and fell. His protection pulled out. He then fell some distance breaking many many bones including severe breaks like his back and others. I understand he was in the hospital for months and was in critical condition for some time. This sort of played with my mind as I was supposed to be on that line as well. I then hung up my rock climbing shoes and crampons. I still hike a lot and don't mind a 4th class scramble but that is about it. Maybe I'll make it out again when top-roped but at the age 59 that might take me quite a while to train for as it has been many years since I have been on a wall.
@@potentialreality I can understand that playing with your mind Bret (a close shave ) you not being roped together (luck circumstances, Devine intervention) who knows but it wasn’t your number that day 🙏🏼 I have mentioned this in other comments that taking a drive is one moment away from a bad day (your error or someone else’s!) yet we drive every day for work and leisure and except these risks! Climbing and other sports such as scuba diving and even football have similar risks to some extent (yet we (or at least I did feel some guilt for the stress others where subjected too)) but no such guilt is shown behind the wheel ??? An interesting topic the why if why we do what we do ! Would make a great film for you Bret 👍 But I hope you climb again one day (I know you will 💪) Best regards Simon 🤠👍

@@TheCountryTraveller yes out in the mountains or in the outdoors in general things can and do go wrong ! A mistake on kit selection like here ) or indeed a kit failure or a natural hazard ⚠️
Dealing with that risk as a family man doing this as a hobby is a mind game to be honest Rob!
A nugget I do bring to mind was a quote from Max Storror one of the parkour team operating out of Brighton (they do crazy high risk stuff) from our perspective ! Oh Simon.😲 Sorry about what's happened to you in the Alps and we are glad that you are alive. Thank you Andrew at the time trying to arrest I was so in the zone (no fear no flash backs ) just trying to stop (luckily I did )
But after John called the rescue waiting in shock clipped to the mountain it did feel so lonely ((even though John was just 30 feet above me ))
With out modern rescue techniques 🚁 things could of been bad (and I know it )
But in a brighter note Im fully fit now 9 months later and climbing again (but packing the correct equipment now )

Wow, this was a sobering and shocking video Simon. Firstly, we are so glad you are ok, and we hope that you are now fully recovered and able to get out and do what you love again? Secondly, we thought you showed tremendous courage, not only at the time of the accident in doing everything possible to get yourself off the mountain, but in making this video and admitting your mistake. A very hard lesson learnt on not compromising on PPE, and one we will certainly take on board on future adventures. You will have helped a lot of people with this video. Thank god it wasn't any worse. And thank you for sharing what must have been a traumatic experience with us.
Look after yourself,
All the best and wishing you a full recovery,
Shell and Pete 👊
Thanks guys for your warm thoughts it’s really appreciated 🙏🏼
But definitely got Lucky here and am thankful for that !
But hope it might help someone somewhere thinking of pushing the boundaries to think of kit selection and skill set ect ! You do see a lot of bravado on UA-cam (great when things work out ! ) but as you know Pete I do like to keep it real and honest on set for adventures if it’s a win then great but if it a fail like here then it needs to be shared too ! No airs and graces just as it is ! the truth!

This was a really good debrief, and an important lesson to learn (with a bad accident, but as you say luckily not life threatening or something that will massively alter your whole future!)
Again, so pleased to hear about the recovery and hope you have since been going from strength to strength 🫶
Sending big hugs from me and Hannah!
Thanks Loz yes those shoulder injuries really do take time to heal up don’t they (it was about 6 months before I could boulder climb ) and a little longer before I’d trust my right arm on a rock climb but nine months afterwards I’m well and pretty much to full fitness (thankfully 🤠🙏🏼)
And have since been back in the mountains enjoying those high places!
But it only takes a second and all is changed summit gone and a longer time away from loved ones 😞 it definitely makes you wonder why do we do these things ??? But for me I’ve always been fascinated by mountains and they kinda draw you to them (odd I know ) would make a great video lol 😂
But give my best to Hannah 👍
And thanks 🙏🏼

Simon, I have not had any notification for your videos- sort of dropped out of sight. Strange. This is a most gripping story Simon - goosebumps here. You sure had a very alert and strong guardian angel hovering close. I am sure it will take time to digest and place this event somewhere safe in your memory so it doesn't continue to unsettle you. Hindsight can be helpful- so reliving and rechecking the procedure is helpful. I shudder when I see these climbers challenging, or defying if you like, gravity and the sheer drops along the way. It is good of you to share this- even though I can tell the event still affects you. Hoping you are well recovered now. It's been a while- so glad I've caught back up with your channel though the topic was quite life changing. Be well. Sending good wishes your way. 🙏🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
You are correct to say this definitely affects one Anita! Initially survival mode switched on helped by a gardian angle And John my climbing partner who was 100% 👌🏻🙏🏼🤠
But even though I was back in the big mountains 🏔️ in the Tatra a few weeks later it still kind of changes your perspective of mountains, risk ,loved ones left behind and the but what if question!!
I’m probably over cautious now kinda was before mind ! But definitely an experience and a test 🙏🏼
Thanks Anita for taking a look at this aspect of the Zugspitze 🏔️ climb
All well now thankfully 🤠🙏🏼

Ohh my, so sorry about the accident Simon and hope months later that you are fully recovered. Boy you are lucky if I must say, I've seen worst-case scenarios on the news here about such climbs. Hi SIMON, that account is amazing and worrying at the same time. Sounds like you did hurt yourself quite badly but you were had a fortunate escape there because it could’ve been much worse!
I thought your pain in that video as it must’ve been so difficult to leave there when you had put so much planning into it,
Most important thing is and you live to fight another day 👍♥️
Absolutely Phil once off the mountain your thoughts go straight to the lost opportunity and the planning and treasure to make these climbs possible! Totally wrong but that is how you feel laying in the hospital bed. (Embarrassed and eager to find some kind of absolution)
But thanks to John and the superb rescue and medical personnel I was able to think this way 🙏🏼
But guilt is a heavy burden when you think of the worries of your family! It’s a selfish thing to do climb mountains 🏔️ I know (would make a great film in its self this topic (the Why question) ) beyond (because it’s their)
Thanks for your kind thoughts mate (fully fit now 9 months after this accident)
Best wishes Simon 🤠👍
Simon .. ive had a fall up high , it changed me forever . I hardly ever allow my down slope unprotected since . .
This will never ever leave you .
It was the same when i mountain biked , i used to whizz down hills .
I have this saying " youll miss your legs when they are gone "
Those micro spikes ive had before , the elastic weakens after an hour or two .
Did the heel go on them ? I didnt realise this happened to you .
So lucky but so unlucky .
Its called being shook , what you were experiencing after you got yourself to safety .
Brilliant retrospective . . Thanks for sharing.
Your right Owen not a day has passed where I haven’t thought about it not in a PTSD type way but guilt and feeling defeated 😞
(John and I had perfect conditions 🏔️🇩🇪)we would have summited!
But those spikes just weren’t sharp enough to deal with a glacier with no snow cover (late in the season you see)
But yes definitely makes you think (without modern technology 🚁this would of been very bad (at best ))
As getting an immobile person down or up from 2400 + meters using stretchers would be difficult very difficult
Thanks for listening to this story mate hope your keeping well I’m glad your fall wasn’t really bad but survivable 🙏🏼

Wow, that sounds like a horrific ordeal! Nice views from the hospital room! Thank goodness you were in good hands. Well done German teams. Ah I’ve had a few near misses with poorer crampons, on one instance broke my coccyx. Nowadays it’s my grivels or nothing at all. Gosh I can’t imagine a fall of such a distance, your adrenaline must have been through the roof! Incredible getting back on the path and continuing. Superb support from the German teams and John. Bit of a setback, hope it hasn’t put you off. Great video and a lesson to us all. 👍
Cheers Nick 🙏🏼 definitely not the adventure I’d of wanted but when you look back it was definitely a learning experience and now that I’ve come to terms with the mind game that is guilt and embarrassment a lot was gained both in and off the mountains!

Oh yes! it hasn’t put me off got back on the horse so to speak 🙏🏼

With out modern technology it would of been touch and go to be honest (at best a long night until early climbers the following day could start / inform a rescue)
And guilt is a thing too ! Climbing mountains isn’t necessary but we do it ! Why ? It’s a deep question and to be honest there isn’t one answer (would make a great film in its own right)

Absolutely Paul the right kit is a must !
Thanks Chris yes I’m doing well and back climbing again🏔️ (needed to get on the horse again after this one) this incident was nine months ago and dealing with the guilt of putting your family through stress for what in the end is unnecessary was challenging 🥹 but they have been very supportive for which I’m thankful 🙏🏼
Yes I insured with mountain sport cover essential in the Alps as getting down or up with stretchers would be very very difficult at best (thanks for modern technology 🚁)
I have been back on the big mountains since this after 6 months to get my shoulder strong and so I could trust it again there is a part 3 and 4 to this adventure 🏔️🇩🇪🤠
Not sure if I’ll post them after this episode of post a lighter hike or walk to break things up a bit ???
But thanks again for your support Chris over on Insta back a while (meant a lot mate 🙏🏼)
Best regards Simon 🤠👍🏔️
@SetForAdventures my pleasure Simon, you would do the same. Whether you are hiking or climbing, I'll be watching.
I hope you are healing well! This is a risk of following our passion 😊😊. You never know when something happens and even experienced instructors can't predict things like that. I probably would use microspiks too, but to my defence I never had any problems with climbing clear ice in them.
Yes your are right with passion’s there is always a small chance of an issue with risky spots such as climbing or scuba ect (thankfully I’m ok now as this was nine months ago ) and back enjoying the hills and mountains 🏔️🙏🏼🤠
Thanks for your kind wishes 👍
Simon
Oh Wow เป็นหุบเขาที่น่าตื่นตาตื่นใจ 😮😮😮
@@musicnature007 thank you 🙏🏼 glad you enjoyed 🤠👍🏔️
But luckily I’ve squared that psychological burden since and have climbed since this accident which was right at the end of the summer climbing season last year 2023(hence the dry glacier)
So right now I’m fully fit thankfully and hopefully get some climbing done in Switzerland (in fact I just got back from Bavaria 🏔️🇩🇪) but that’s for another film upcoming (kind of part 3 & 4 of this adventure 🏔️)
But thanks so much Bret for your kind wishes 🙏🏼
Simon 🤠👍
@@potentialreality I can understand that playing with your mind Bret (a close shave ) you not being roped together (luck circumstances, Devine intervention) who knows but it wasn’t your number that day 🙏🏼
I have mentioned this in other comments that taking a drive is one moment away from a bad day (your error or someone else’s!) yet we drive every day for work and leisure and except these risks!
Climbing and other sports such as scuba diving and even football have similar risks to some extent (yet we (or at least I did feel some guilt for the stress others where subjected too)) but no such guilt is shown behind the wheel ???
An interesting topic the why if why we do what we do ! Would make a great film for you Bret 👍
But I hope you climb again one day (I know you will 💪)
Best regards Simon 🤠👍
@@SetForAdventures These are very good points. A little bit of a side note. Driving in Los Angeles is crazy and there are these moments every day. It may be safer to be up on the mountain. I will be happy when all the cars drive themselves.
Thank God, it's not that very serious accident... Be careful always... 10:01
Very true (thank for your support and wishes) 🙏🏼
