Another tough run in with DC. We were the worse side for a majority and completely outclassed tactically by Losada once again. Though top sides win in a match where they weren’t at their best, historic sides manage to put three past. Capi, Matt Turner, and Adam were still very good today. This is the first match back from injury where I have seen that pinpoint placement from our Spanish magician. Adam once again did the dirty work on top of a goal and assist. Adam Buksa has really started to find himself and is playing beyond that “DP” label. We did very well using that momentum for a short time to put three past Hamid and move on. Sloppy goals being conceded cannot continue especially heading into the most important part of the campaign. The officiating was a different story, I like physical football but this was well beyond that. A plethora of fouls from both sides not given and it looked like there could have been injuries. Then added time should have been at most 2 minutes, not 6, which turned to 8. Overall we need to be sharper, especially considering the matches coming. Side note: Abila can finish like it’s just him in training, very impressive after that disappointing time with MUFC. Hopefully Colorado at least hold on against the Sounders. GO REVS!!!!!
The ref was a disgrace today. We were great for 60 minutes which was amazing considering the lineup we put out, but the class from NE shone through in the end. 3 of your DPs scored while both of ours are injured 😔 Losada is building something special at DC but he needs investment
@@ryanjohnson6272 couldn’t say it better. It all starts with a great manager and you can take that off the checklist because Losada is top quality. And there are some quality players on this DC side but some of that backline and midfield could use some new faces.
I was at that game, and as a DC fan I agree 100%. We played well and then y’all scored 2 goals and we kind of fell apart. Then the Rev’s scored again. The ref was making crazy calls on both teams. A little hope at the end but we just couldn’t find the response we were looking for. The revs played well and Buksa was not playing around. Good luck to the revs in the playoffs! Also good to see Bruce Arena back in town! He won us 2 championships so I can’t hate him. Hopefully we can beat our 2 rivals NYCFC and the Red Bull’s. Well played revs and VAMOS UNITED! Let’s make the playoffs
Sounders have to win all their games to reach us, and we can only tie 1 and lose 2, which would give Seattle a higher GD, but that’s unlikely. So a win means we get the shield.
As a revs fan, I was kind happy when DC scored the last goal, because it matched what happened in the last game with DC 😂 No but seriously, the defense did not play good today
Great game, DC folks. You guys were buzzing from what I saw. But please, for the love of all things good in this world, can the "It'S iN tHe NeT" guy please get a new saying?
how come there is only one NBC Sports commentator and the rest I think are from ESPN, and FOX Sport, and only 1 from CBS Sport some they do co-streaming others from streaming I also think
Went to see the game at Audi Field, and wow what an atmosphere. So much better than when we were at RFK. With that being said, the games still need to improve. It’s not anything wrong with Losada, it’s more of the players not fully believing in what he preaches. All 3 goals were from lazy defensive errors, and failure to organize properly both off of the counterattacks and during NE buildups. For contrast, watching other similar styled European teams like Leeds or Brighton are extremely well organized with rotations and positioning defensively, it’s so smooth and efficient, like a cellist playing their cello. However, DC’s shifts were quite erratic, poorly communicated within the players, and due to this many massive gaps were left in the field. The counter attack that was exposed down the left was just poor recovery, it’s rule 1 of a high press to have a strong organized recovery, and we should be treating this like our press just got beat. For goals number 2 and 3, the midfield and defense were caught out lazily watching the ball. Watch how no midfielders track their men, they played to much to one side, and one on one defending when they did try and track back was just dreadful. As soon as the defensive rotations and transitions improve, DC will be a force to be reckoned with. VAMOS DC
Congrats Revs on your FIRST and very well deserved MLS Supporters Shield trophy win … now go overcome that “pesky SS curse” and win your first MLS cup .

We need to stop making it so hard on ourselves. A fine trio of goals, nonetheless. Only Sounders remain that can catch us for the Shield.
