    I honestly would spend a couple of days cleaning and organizing your shop area. I used to be messy and didn’t keep my work area clean. It is very distracting to have all of your area a mess. You would be surprised how much better your builds will be when you keep your area cleaned, organized and very well lit. I’m excited for your build.

      It's on my list...Ha! Thanks for the reminder, so hard to clean stuff up when making a mess is more fun!!!

    Yes, moisture, temperature, and wood often having a mind of its own all conspire to make building an interesting challenge. However, it looks as if you're figuring out a viable adaption for each condition. Keep it up, and bring this one safely to completion!

      you are correct...I'm just glad this is a personal build and not commissioned. I clearly wouldn't have used the sassafras for anyone but myself, but still I've made my fair share of blunders on this one. 13yrs since my last build and it seems I've forgotten my process ha! Winter building always presents a challenge in a partially heated barn too
