Hi Alex looked like a great day out some fantastic rovers on display Jessie’s engine bay looks fantastic looking to your next vlog all the best to you Lyndon…….
Hi Alex, what a great line up there and I must say Jessie looks really good. All your hard work under the bonnet has paid off - well done. The P4 Rover is my favourite of all Rovers - they look very elegant and have 'presence'. Thanks for sharing your visit :-)
I used to have a 1955 P4 90. It was the last year of the free wheel option and it can be a terrifying thing if you’re not careful. The day after I bought the car I took it on a trip through the mountains, I live in Australia, and down the other side I suddenly discovered I had no engine braking at all and after just three heavy applications of the brakes I also had a rock hard and useless brake pedal. I made it to the bottom unscathed but I never used free wheel again even around town. Interesting option but potentially very dangerous. God I miss that old girl.
Yes I have often thought Freewheel could be dangerous .... I've never driven a P4 with Freewheel, but i know what it's like to dip the clutch down a steep hill..... it's scary!
i am a great fan of your vidioe s ...i have used p 4 100..60 ..90..and p6 2ooo tc..they are great cars...to witness this cars is just brings back fond memories..tq..
@@Alexsassets Hi, 6.25 into video, on the left, two tone green, 453 UXR. I had her for over five years, the issue was that she would get a run once a month, go to one car show, having spent a lot of money on her, I decided to someone that would use her, I sold her to a father and son team
Hi Alex, Great content, so many Rovers, so little money...Must admit I liked the '70s Rovers too, but I think I would prefer either a P5 or a P6. Speaking of which, I thought Lyndon had sold his one? I forget how much he was looking for it? Loved your "short" involving Peggy... Pleased you had a good day out, your friend there is very knowledgeable. Take care, stay safe, Cheers, Jon B.
I had a photo of my Rover 2000 auto taken along side 3500RU with Blenheim palace in the back ground back in 2003 at the 25th anniversary of the P6 Rover owners club if my memory serves me correctly I had a nice chat to well I think it was Clive's dad quite a long time ago now that Rover 95 MVS421 gets about a bit I saw it in the car park at Ickworth house In Suffolk a couple of weeks ago the engine in my 2000 is very tired now so I only use the car for short journey's just to keep it running looked a nice day out 🙂
Those blue /purple lenses on the P5 tail lights are an aftermarket accessory. You just drill a hole in the lens and insert them. They give a little bluey purple highlight to the lens. Also I understand those little chrome nipples on your Rover is for attaching ribbons for wedding cars etc. You just wrap the ribbon around it and back to the door where it's then tucked inside somehow. At least that's what I've been told when I had my lovely old 90.
and you can add "blue dots" to rear lights, a lot of American classics have them, some opinions re them making the red light appear brighter? All irrelevant with modern lights, but I like them, I have a pair that I might put in mine
Hi Rover friend I'm I need your help. I'm into 3d printing now and got the Idea to print a touch-up paint stick, that would contain something different than paint. My first idea was the fuses for the car or some spare bulbs. So it would look close to the original touch-up stick, fill its place in the tool box and be actually useful. Is there someone willing to do some exact photos of this stick and measure it?
Rovers by the score! Good to see both old and new parked next to each other. 👍
Lovely white P6.
Always look best with the spare wheel on the boot🤣
Jessie is looking great, love the brass radiator, a credit to all of your hard work. Wonderful to see all of the Rovers together, Thankyou for sharing
Jessie looks really good, lovely show with some amazing cars.

Need to take my P5!

The little nips on the P4 are sidelight markers.
I doubt ribbons would stay put around those. . . .
Me if I would be there: "Heaven... I'm in heaven,
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak.
And I seem to find the happiness I seek..."
