We've been using and teaching on the 2019 Cabrinha Recoil Control Bar. This is Cabrinhas traditional trim system where you can control the power/ depower of the kite.
Hey Anthony, maybe add how to easily wrap up and undo the lines, especially from which side ( top or bottom ) to avoid a rat’s nest. I learned the hard way the other day. I wrapped up the lines from the top and they managed to get completely tangled. What I quickly learned was to wind them up from the bottom to keep them clear. Anyway, nice review. These are now my favorite control bars.
Hey mate. Do you know if the recoil has more depower than the trimlite? And when you throw away or to put away the bar from your body to depower has more/less travel than the trimlite? I have the trimlite and sometimes have dificult to reach the trimlite when am overpowered, would like a clickbar on the cabrinha bar :) regards
I believe the Recoil depowers the same as the Trim.. There is a Trim extension kite the increases the amount of depower on the Trim. The Recoil tabs are definitely closer to reach.. In terms of being overpowered/ really overpowered, it doesnt matter quite as much of the bar as the kite size/ shape. You can increase your trim but theres a point where you trim too much off and the kite doesnt fly right. Also if your lines are out of tune, when you depower the kite by the trim youre just going back to a neutral position because the center lines will stretch out. Make sure all 4 lines are equal in length when the bars all the way in
