A beautiful voice . I would like to hear him sing this aria as written instead of an abridged version wich is shorter and therefore easier. It's not just about the high notes. Let's hope he continues to grow into an artist!!! shirleysvoice

This boy is clearly talented and should be acknowledged as such but it's an indictment of contemporary pop culture that this kind of soundbyte performance is hailed so unreservedly - and defensively. 'This moment' is not everything; if we genuinely want him to succeed, restraint must be part of the equation.
Oh please... I cannot admit who I am here, but let me say that there is no way one can tell if this young man's voice will be an operatic voice yet. I just cringed listening to him... he needs a good voice coach, an education in music theory, history etc... and about 5 years until his voice fully changes into an adult voice. Remember, to be operatic, he needs to be heard over 100 instruments and 15+ other singers - and still have perfect control. That is something else indeed. Best of luck!

OK, My baseball cap says Met Opera on it, no more hints. Paul MAY have a future in Opera. I'd give him a 10% chance...which is 900% above any other kids his age. By 19 we will know. I will say that I have never heard such a sound from a boy that age. Listening to purely the tonal quality of the voice, I was impressed by it. He has that Italianate coloration that many top tenors have. He needs a good vocal coach- Now. He also need to finish High School and go to a good music school. Best of Luck!
