I think leaving a comp game is way more of a bitch move than leaving a quick play game.
Are you saying that in general or are you saying that because the person in the vid left the game? Cuz i think the person in the vid disconnnected
i mean obviously but the fact that they're putting even harsher punishments for qp is ridiculous..

i dont understand why you still lose rp if you have a leaver on your team, seems very unfair
If somebody makes a bot account then that account can just leave and the player wont lose mmr, its hard to solve
If you are losing you just bully the tank or whoever is doing the worst to leave the game
Even if someone uses a bot account you’re that would only benefit the other people on the team not the bot and on top of that there are still leaver penalties so it can’t happen too often or they get banned and even then just because u don’t lose mmr doesn’t mean you gain any like what’s the point of getting a bot to leave a bunch if you never gain anything but for the rest of the player base that doesn’t do bots they suffer greatly cuz someone left

There seriously needs to be a rework to penalties for your teammates because nearly half of my placements for me and all my friends were straight losses because of leavers and the fact u can’t do anything about it is arguably one of if not the worst feeling I’ve ever experienced in gaming of frustration
On average your team will have less leavers than the enemy team, so in a long run you benefit from the current system. You just don't remember all these times where an enemy player left.

@@ultraviolenc3 I understand during the regular season but I’m specifically speaking on the impact it had on a bunch of peoples placements in which they were handed several losses with no chance of winning which badly affected placements

@@PurpleMoon799 I’m not sure, I’ve DCed but was able to get back into the game before it finished. I was punished but it was my first time doing it
I am on a break from this game after going on like 10 and 2 with every game being full stomps.
The last game I finally had a hella close game when my game crashed at the very end. I used my ult and my game just poofed.
Got so tilted that I'm not playing the game until next season.

In low ranks, that's a normal message to see. It's why 90% of the player base is stuck in ranked because of that message
In Paladins the match ends if there if there is a leaver
It ends in OW but ONLY if it happens at the very beginning, which is trash and needs to change. I legit think that the system for it should be swapped around. Leaving later in the game gives a time limit for the match to cancel, and a time limit at the beginning to prevent you from leaving just in case they join back.

That can't work in Comp but that could work for Quick play.
had two people disconnect because of internet issues on flashpoint (at different times). they joined back and then disconnected again a couple times through the match we tried to put up a fight but we obviously lost. they kept dc’ing at pivotal moments in the match. i lost so much rank progression and it was infuriating

Disconnects like that suck, had freind on an old playstation 4 that would constantly crash mid comp game sucks really bad if we were winning too
Nintendo switch also dc's OW ALL the time. So incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re penalized for something that’s not your fault.

Last 6 ranked matches was a 2v5 or less one game I had 4 people leave all at separate times they were not stacked together. I used to be diamond in ow1 now I'm in elo hell with gold quitters and cryers.

I don't think you understand how this game works. Watching Flats and others play reminds me of Plat games. If I get games where I have 40-0 and then get a game where I did 20-7 but still won, how much better at the game do I have to get to be Too 500? It seems more like if you get placed there, and you're good enough, you'll stay.
Also, I'm "Ruin" in OW if you want to add me... I'm stuck mid Gold and Platinum. Somehow I'm Gold on every role and in role que despite helping my Plat friend rank up. 😂 My profile is public so the gold roles should be easy to notice once you find me.

K had a game the other day in control where we one the first round then were 60 percent and they had 0 in the second and my tank and 1 support leaves this game is fun

Penalties dont prevent your wifi from dying lol, Slow would still have left bc it wasn't smth he could control. These penalties will only punish you harder for something you can't even control.

The worst is if they come back the last second and leave again.
At that point, it's an obvious server issue and the game shouldn't punish the losing team because it was literally out of their control.

It's how much your rank moves, there's other titles like expected, uphill battle. They all just change how ranks work

REMOVE QUICKPLAY PENALTY
At the very least if leavers wont nullify your loss of comp progress it should at *least* lessen it in my opinion. Like if you have a leaver on your team, I'd love it to not lose you progress but i get people are scared of some hypothetical bot groups (i think its so unlikely that doesnt matter) but assuming thats a problem, they could still make you lose half as much as you would otherwise or something- that way its not as rewarding for those hypothetical bot groups but also not as punishing for innocent people who have teammates leave.
