- A circular walk with a total of 48 miles. This part is 13.5 miles long. It starts at Jumbles heading over the moors via Turton to Egerton, then passing over Winter Hill, Rivington Pike (with a brew at the Rivington Pike Snack Shack) and down to Rivington terraced gardens finishing at Rivington barn.

Looks like a perfect days walking.
Yes, a good few days walking, pity it wasn't circular.
Sure is a beautiful place to get out and explore, thanks for the tour.
You took me to some favourite places, and to places new. Nice to see both. Thanks.
Thought it would be fun to do the complete West Pennine Way, unfortunately I have to return to the car, so a challenge to split the route up. Most of it looks interesting but there are a few parts that look a bit bleak, well only one way to find out. Thanks for watching.
Nice to see a great Video of my local area. Thanks for sharing 😊👍📹
Hi, you live in a beautiful area of Lancashire, lost count of how many times I have walked around Rivington, a wonderful place, thanks for watching.
@@lancsway aw thanks so much. Born and bread in Bolton. Yes we are lucky to have such lovely countryside on our doorstep. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 😊👍
Fantastic walk through, thank you for sharing.
Cheers, really enjoying this walk, hot on the moors today.
@@lancsway it sure was. I covered 16 miles from Abbey Village, taking in Darwen Tower, Big Grey Stones and Great Hill.
@@northender2006 Now thats a walk in one day and this heat, nice one.
@@lancsway more of a run/walk. Tempted on the full West Pennine Way. I did the full Pendle Way loop in February.
So wise to start a walk off with a brew followed by on route brews!. I know Jumbles and Turton Towers well. Often walked in the area. Such a professional piano arrangement. Never tire of listening. Nice to see you narration to camera in your video. Somehow I never get a grip on selfies. Can't seem to hold camera far enough away or find its too close up to my face. Wonder if other filmmaker use longer camera mounts.
Hi Shanita, spot on with the selfie narration, I throw many of them in the bin, can't see myself on the little front screen (GoPro 11), and just not comfortable doing them, also I want to show the walk rather than me, you really need someone else filming you to get the distance don't you. I've walked Rivington so many times but always enjoy it, the terrace gardens are so relaxing to roam around and a new cafe has appeared since my last visit. What camcorder do you use now?
@@lancsway I switch between two. Sony ZV-1 (same as Chris J-B) complex settings though, and Go Pro Hero 9 (but has no zoom when filming). What hand-held mount did you use for your selfie filming?
That Sony looks like a nice camera. I just use a cheap unbranded mount purchased on E-bay.
