    The key to using box dye on your hair is to lower your expectations. My hair is naturally very dark, almost black. If I go out in the sun, I get dark blonde highlights. I used to use red box dye, and all it did was turn my natural highlights red, which was the effect that I wanted. It was a very subtle change, but it made me feel beautiful.

    It never ceases to amaze me how they look at the camera in disbelief when they mess up on cutting dying bleaching their hair. They literally said this is a mistake. Soooo hello.

    all of this fails could be avoided with just a little google or youtube search, there's so many useful and educational tutorials made by really good hairdressers out there
    people have the tools and just don't use them🤦
    on the other hand, if they keep making mistakes we get more video reactions, wich is nice😂

      I know right! My husband was planning to get a haircut right before quarantine started last year and so a month into quarantine his hair was really long and he really wanted a haircut so he asked me to do it. I spent literally a whole week watching a ton of haircut tutorials for men and short hair. Then I went out and bought the right type of equipment I needed. And when I started I took it slow had a diagram open on my phone next to me and only took off a little bit at a time keeping it longer than than I needed to. His hair turned out great and he loved it. Now he doesn't even go to the salon and get his haircut anymore he just has me do it. There really is no excuse for not spending at least five minutes and watching a few videos and googling it zD

    When I was in middle school, I went to the hairdresser for a trim. She cut it all off to where I literally looked like a boy. My hair was at shoulder length and I was going to a birthday party that day. Never got my hair cut again. I have found a really good hairdresser, my mom who's hair is very hard to cut and style was the guinea pig, who listens to me but I never let her take more than half inch to an inch off, and I go once a year, sometimes twice a year. I didn't see myself in a mirror until afterwards where I wanted to break down and cry but didn't. My mom kept saying it looked cute, she had and always will have, horrible sense of style so I don't know of she was being genuine or not because that's how bad her sense of style is.

    My favorite home hair cut to give myself when I was in college was done with a low pony on the back. Sciccors going straight down to cut it. Then I would have some one clean up the back for me and I would do the front how I wanted. It was shortish in the back and tapered to long in the front. I absolutely loved it.

    • @momma_bat
      @momma_bat Рік тому

Well, this I found works with Silly Putty and Slime thanks to my daughter who did not put her hair up before playing with silly putty and slime. The conditioner worked. I would have just cut it, BUT she is wanting her hair to grow so I was able to save it. THANK YOU HAIR BUDDA!

    The girl with the uneven "shoulder length" cut probably went to somewhere like great clips. I hate those cheap places. I knew a girl who worked there and they are taught to go as fast as they can to get as many cuts done. Not to be careful and do it well. The worst cuts I ever got where from places like that. I hate spending $50 on a haircut, but since switching to a better place, I have thr best haircuts I've ever had. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

    So, I can’t comment on the other brands, but I spent 100 on a babyliss pro, and it is the most amazing hair device I ever owned. I love those pretty long loose curls but I am horrible with a curling iron and the wand. This machine gives me perfect curls. It has setting so you can make them looser or tighter. Seriously I can’t express how happy I am with my babyliss.

    Watching these people cutting thick ponytails is pretty horrifying. Especially with a blunt or dull pair of scissors... wouldn’t that cause split ends? I would think that the combination of bad technique and bad scissors would crush the hair shaft and cause splitting. At the end of the day, hair is simply a fiber and cannot take that level of pure violence without some sort of damage.

    I have one of those barrel curlers, thankfully I have one that stops the machine when the hair gets stuck, but I'm pretty sure it gets caught because a) people put the hair in the mechanism the wrong way or b) they put too much hair in the machine - i prefer it to hair curlers as it doesn't burn me but you have to master the amount of hair you section off otherwise it doesn't work.

    • @TheAimlesslyAmy
      @TheAimlesslyAmy Рік тому +1

      Yep. I came here to make sure someone told him it’s Brad Mondo’s fault. I followed Brad’s tutorial exactly and gave myself a great haircut. Very professional looking. These people used the basic idea but not the specific details and got what they got. Can’t blame Brad for that. UA-cam can teach you a lot about how to do it well or terribly. I went to the stylist in May after doing my own haircuts and highlights for over two years and she said she thought a professional had done my hair. Really good highlights and healthy hair. But I just have an interest in learning everything I can about something before I do it. Some people watch a couple minutes of a video and dive right in. Provides good entertainment nonetheless. 🤣
