What about the point fineliners? Those are the best fineliners ever. I had to buy replacements cause I let a kid draw with them and they refused to give them back 😂.
It was so nice seeing new products highlighted! I didn't even think to LOOK for a lefty-friendly pencil! Adding that to my wishlist for the next time I order things FOR SURE! I'd love to see you guys do this with other stationary too! Maybe bag organizers or pen cases?
where do I begin... - there used to be pens from "post-it", it was a ballpoint on one end, highlighter on the other end, and the clip came with page markers! they are hard to find these days if anyone knows something similar, please let me know - stabilo highlighters. Come on various colors and various inks, and they match the felt tip and fineliners color-wise. - faber castell mechanical pencils are some of the most comfortable to use, and come with thin or thick bodies depending on what you prefer. - bic cristal ultra fine - a cheap very thin ballpoint which writes suprisingly smooth and thin - uni propos highlighters - 2 tips (fineliner and highlighter ) and the clear window is super nice. those were a few from the top of my head ^^
Pilot Frixions! I cannot live without them. I seldom use a non-erasable pen now. The Uni-Ball R:E Erasable Pens are not the same - their ink flows stiffly.
I never met a Sharpie I didn’t like…until I bought the Sharpie gel pens a few months ago…I just don’t like it (I love the Pentel Energel and Zebra Sarasa) it feels like it “hitches” on the paper and doesn’t have that nice smooth writing experience (for me, I guess if it’s popular, its a ‘me’ thing, lol.) I never hear people talk about Sharpie’s water based fine liners tho (and I wish they came in more colors!!!) those are fantastic fine liners and are inexpensive as well. Don’t bleed, don’t smear, write smoothly, last a good period of time…and I’m heavy handed, and it takes a long time to wear out the tip (I kill a Stadler fine liner super quickly.)
i’ve been raving about the pilot opts since 2015! they’re the best pencils of ALL time w good weight and a seamless shaking mechanism. only downside is that the grip yellows over time!
The Pentel Pullman looks like the old Fountain Pentel a lot us designers at Disney used till they stoped making them 20 years ago.. look forward to trying one out1
I still have a small hoard of Fountain Pentels in all four colors! They still write and slowly I'm using them up. Then, one day at a meeting, a lady was using what looked like the Fountain Pentel--even down to the same nib! The entire body was brown though. When I asked about it, she said it was her favorite pen. It was a Pentel Stylo. Needless to say, I ordered 4 and don't worry about the Fountain Pentels anymore. The only downside is that they don't make the green ink pen.
The pentel pulaman has great colors (beyond the green shown on screen). The uni arterase colored pencils are wonderful and most people don’t even know about them.
When I thought I lost my Kuru Toga Advanced, I brought the Pilot Opt Mechinal Pencil (Plus that starry metal finish.) - Now I used it a lot for drawing along with the Toga Advanced
The reason why nobody talks about the Sharpie pen anymore is because it's not a Sharpie. Meaning, it's not a permanent marker pen. That's the reason why, I believe that most people don't care about it. They need something between the extra fine tip (WAAAy too thin) and the "fine" tip (WAAAy to thick) and this pen was supposed to be that...but it's just a plain old pen. You guys feel free to send that to Sharpie exec's because they really blanked the pooch on this one. thanks for the video
With mechanical pencils, i wish you would show whether or not the pencil sleeve retracts. I carry my pencils in my pocket and prefer a sleeve that doesn’t poke a hole in my pant fabric. Great review.
Ok so , idk if anyone familiar with this brand.. In my country there is one brand that is consider to be like the best cheap yet good quality stationery , its called Snowman They have quite a few variety of stationery from markers( they have like classic marker , whiteboard, and paint markers , also a brushpen 😃 ), pens(they have both gel and classic ballpoint.. my fave is the snowman V-1 , its a ballpoint pen and soo smooth) , callighraphy pens , drawing pen (this is ma fave too hehehe😁) I wish yt has a pic. feature so that i could show it to you guys all the stuff :"(
Did that Pentel used to be made of white plastic? That was my first "fancy" pen of choice back in the 80s and 90s. And yes, smooth paper is the way to go with it. Writing slow was never an option. ;-)
i've had some of the sharpie, ballpoints for about a year now, and I like them quite a bit, i just find the grip a little obtrusive for my hand. I had no idea they had a Rollerball though.
I really enjoy the Zebra G-301 GP in 0.7 mm. The only problem is the limited amount of ink in it, so I have a large bin of used aluminum pen bodies. Recently, I discovered the Zebra Sarasa dryX-o in the 0.7 mm. With its plastic body and larger comfort grip, it is not as sleek as the G-301, but the significantly larger ink reservoir makes for a longer lasting pen. And both deliver smooth, skip-free lines of quick-drying gel ink. I have enjoyed Zebra pens since I first found them while I was in Japan in the early 1980s.
@@marmeemarch7080 It is. I have found G-301 refills on occasion, but they are often only in packs of 3, and the refills are almost the cost of the complete pen.
As someone with dyspraxia, I think that thick triangular pencils need to be treated less like little kids things. Sure we didn’t get the best stuff, but I didn’t really like any pencil, wood or mechanical, until those papermate 1.3mm triangular pencils came out. My only complaints is they feel, and are, flimsy and their erasers don’t stay in that well.
I like the Air, it was my favorite for a time, but I've gradually moved on. The porous point feathers into a grungy thin-thick texture when you slow down, even on heavier mixed media paper, which makes it very characterful for drawing but also not always what I want. For transparent line-making I have gravitated towards the 207+ and One instead - the One is fussy about paper and it has a really viscous ink, but it makes some of the best lines, while the 207+ handles really well for me and it works on most stuff.
Almost all of my pens and pencils are Zebra at this point. F301 and SARASA pens and DelGuard ER pencils. These cover what used to take eight different utensils.
I've been using Pilot G2 pens for years, but I always wonder what a step up from something like that might be? Can you recommend some better daily drivers for people who write on various types of paper from thermal receipts to super cheap printer papers, posters, etc? The G2s are great, but I feel like there has to be a better option!
Jetstream! It'll work well on a wide variety of papers, while retaining that smoothness of the G2 (technically the Jetstream ink is a gel-ballpoint hybrid).
I remember my mum had a few pens with tips exactly like the pulaman when I was a kid in the 90 s. I loved them but have never seen anything like them since

I love mechanical pencils for marking out my woodworking joints... no particular brand as long as its reliable, super cheap ones allow the lead to slip back in with little applied pressure.
Hi there! I'm in love with your videos but I have just a question: I'm currently using the "Uniball Signo 207 Premier" but I find the grip too soft. I have a huge callus on my ring finger. I also prefer pens that have a large grip or pen body. Do you possibly have any recommendations? (P.S. I don't mind if the ink quality is horrible because I tend to refill the pens I get with Sarasa ink. As long as the pen body is nice, I'll be happy.) Thank you in advance!
I have the essenti twin highlighter set. I’ve damaged two of the smaller chisel ends and I don’t know why I’ve messed up two of these and zero other highlighters or pens. I don’t think I’ll be replacing them. Most of the colors are pretty much identical to the zebra mildliners, but with a less-reliable small end.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the point fineliners. Especially since I can put different colors in the pen via fountain pen ink and customize the tip size.
There's ax blue uniball pen that's easily available like.... everywhere. I forget the name, it's really nondescript, but it's the smoothest, best writing experience I've had with such a cheap pen short of a fountain pen. I wanna say it's gel, but it might be a ballpoint?
