You have to account for the risk of down side in gambling. Not just "if you gamble you can make lots of money", you can also lose a lots of money too. Remember bitcoin in 2022 it was $70k and went down 75% to below $20k in 6 months.

As an IT professional, I'd certainly build a back door into the system in case of an emergency (whatever that is), in the case of Bitcoin, people don't even know who's behind it and even in the case of fraud, one would never be able to bring the culprit to justice, and under what jurisdiction? As there is no regulator, price setting of Bitcoin is highly manipulable and if that is not fraud, I don't know what is!
The equation is open to the public. Every node in the bitcoin verifies each other if the calculation is correct. How can there be any back door? The main purpose of setting up bitcoin is to get rid of central regulators who may do things with hidden agenda.

Given the world fiat is off the gold standard, it becomes a hedge against the inflation. Gold plays this role for years but paper gold has been manipulated without any transparent general ledger. It is much harder to do the same over BTC b/c people will ask your wallet address to confirm what you truly hold. The security of the asset comes from the mining power and over these decades this mining power has reached a level that is hard to conquer. Now govt and institutions are forced to adopt. If you continue to think, you need to withstand the opportunity cost you have lost and how your next generations think about what you have done. Good luck!
