Hey Trevor, I suggest you may do the Top 10 Characters that Should've Been Released for Trackmaster.
My opinions on these items:
10. A nice piece of "Early Draft Tie In".
9. A lot of people (myself included) have used D199's 1996 model as the basis for D7101, A.K.A. Bear.
8. I liked the Apple Orchard Cars, namely because of the forklift, flatbed, and apple car.
7. I personally liked the 2005 Chinese Dragon better than the 1995 one, because not only is the 2005 version much more accurate to his TV series counterpart, but it has a bobbing head like the Take-Along model.
6. The prototype for Henry's 2002 model even retained the fowler tender, but thankfully, the actual model had the correct tender.
5. I did a video that was a comparison of Emily and Ashima's Wooden Railway and 2019 Wood models. Ashima's 2019 Wood model is actually superior to her Wooden Railway model due to having more detail, and I turned my Wooden Railway Ashima into Hong-Mei. Also, both Ashima models are shorter than her TV series counterpart (though it is justified in the case of the Wood model).
4. I also feel the Wooden Railway Scrap Monster should have been more like the Take N' Play model, being on a single long flatbed.
3. At the time I got Catherine (1999), I hadn't seen Catherine's Railway Series counterpart, so I had no idea it was inaccurate to her basis and that she was supposed to be the size of an Express coach rather than Annie and Clarabel. However, I think the reason she included the Truck was so its cargo could work with cranes like the Sodor Cargo Crane and Cranky.
2. I feel that the volcano in this set was made partially of wood after complaints from users who said that the Wooden Railway line used too much plastic. Well, be careful what you wish for, because I feel that the use of plastic justifies the actions of the destinations.
1. I saw this coming. A lot of people (including myself) have mocked this item for lacking both railway realism and a cargo car.
10.) I've gotta agree, but I guess this could be a reference to how Bertram was originally going to a tank engine.
9.) Okay, how comes this happened? But I still guess this model is okay.
8.) Kind off unrealistic if you ask me, could use some work.
7.) It's okay, not my favourite though.
6.) I guess his tender could have been a reference to the RWS, but I'd have to agree.
5.) Agreed! What more can I say?
4.) Really? Why did this have to be two flatbeds?
3.) I guess it's okay, not perfect. But okay.
2.) Have nothing against these sets, but what were they thinking?
1.) Well, I'll have to agree with this. This is just too unrealistic! Mattel should have never greenlit this in the first place!
So, some of my least favourite Wooden Railway items would have to be.
• Ashima
• Ryan
• Culdee (2005)
• The Bubble Loader
• Bertram (2005)
Oh, and for a future top 10 video. I think it should be a Top 10 ERTL Items! 😁
In my opinion I like the 2005 culdee & the 2004 rheneas
10. 2005 release of bertie
9. Oliver the excavator
8. Lead paint crysis items
7. Jack
6. Ashima
5. 2017 trevor
4. The 2011 redesign
3. Bertram
2. Scrap monster
Dishonorable mentions: the miniature gauge engines, Molly, D199, 2006 Freddie, diesel 10
1. The later version of stepney
My least favorites are Dart, Gina, Skiff, Stepney, Ashima, Ryan and The 2013 Bulstrode.
For Ryan, Ashima and 2013 Bulstrode, they’re too short in length.
For Gina, Dart and Skiff, they’re too long.
For Stepney, the boiler doesn’t protrude from the side tanks.
I modded my Wooden Railway Ashima to be longer, made a longer Ryan using a 2014 Whiff and an Adventures Ryan face, used a Brio Stepney with a Wooden Railway 2003 Stepney chassis, made a shorter Dart using a Take N Play Dart with a new running board and Hiro’s tender chassis.
Imma say something, let's just appreciate that Trevor donated a classic wooden railway item to charity, anyways, nice vid
I have a suggestion
Top three worst railway series books.
Yes I know it's hard to come up with three bad railway series books
Maybe, I think Catherine in WR form looks like a reused version of the Wooden Railway Henrietta. If you see the comparison or differences between the two, it's really noticeable. Especially if you look at a previously bygone era where the people behind the long-running original Wooden Railway cared so much about making quality engines, vehicles, figurines, tracks, and sets, that this Catherine item looks jarring now that I can think of comparing it to the original WR Henrietta.
The ones I agree with the most are the TOMY Wooden Engines from 2012 with the horrible CGI faces, Bertram without his tender, the Chinese Dragon of how weird it looks, and Ashima because of the lack of painted wheels.
Henry actually had a fowler tender after "8 famous engines" it just never was changed in the tvs
Speaking of Ashima, there are two versions, the prototype and the final version. Here are 3 differences:
Firstly, take a look at the handle bars of the cab. The prototype version have handle bars closer while the final version have acurate placements on handle bars. Secondly, take a look at the side line painting along the bunker. The prototype version have a curve while the final version have an angled line. And thirdly, take a look at the face. The prototype version have larger pupils than the final version, but the eyebrows of the prototype are unaligned and the final version have aligned eyebrows. I watched TheStarSwitcher's review on the TWR Ashima and those are just more info on that model.
I originally wanted that version of Ashima cuz she had a dome, but upon realizing that she's *supposed* to have blue wheels and a decorative dome, I would much rather prefer the new Ashima, dome or no dome.
I actually got the bubble loader back in 2021 as my birthday gift. I will agree that it is unrealistic and gimmicky, but the detailing looks nice.
Well at least the 2005 culdee's face its much better then the original one and a little bit of the 2015
one i think
I own a twr toad from the lead paint era, but certain toads were exceptions and mine is fine
Bertram was my very first Thomas and friends wooden railway item
I'm not sure what my top 10 is but 2006 Duncan is probably in there
One thing I would add to the list is the 2013 version of rocky for these reasons:
1: the cable on the magnet is made out of metal instead of string
2: although it is an updated version of Rocky, Mattel didn’t make his cab rotate 360 degrees!
3: they referred to the flatbeds as tenders (which just feels wrong!)
4: he lost the door on his cab.
Pretty good on one of the worst Wooden Railway items the 1990s version of Henry is okay but the tender could have been a little bit better but hey at least I still prefer the other versions of Henry and about Bertram he is okay as a tank engine even though that I could understand thank goodness that they made a Bertram done right in 2016.
I will be looking forward to the New Wooden Railway line in 2022 because I am so hyped and I will be excited for them because of how accurate the details were and I don't mind for the wheels themselves.
Trevor: Dishonorable mention includes lead paint items.
Me: Does it matter I bought lead paint James for myself, a 26 year old?
Trevor: the worst wooden railway item is the bubble loader 2003 Stepney: am I a joke to you? 😤
I only have 2 more scenes left to draw and then I’ll be able to release chapters 1-3 of my Big World Big Adventures rewrite
8:05 James is here is gonna hear that.
I agree with you on the Bubble Loader.
Bubble loader FTW! 🤣. Absolutely agree
3:19 The face almost looks like BJ the Dinosaur's face.
Apparently James is here says the bubble loader exists and um idk
I think the old 1990 Henry tender was ment to be a standingre black 5 tender in the Books so I think that's why I guess?
Dishonourable mentions:
2002 Thomas without lining
1999 Gordon
Donald and Douglas
Anyone with unpainted wheels
Ryan
Den and Dart
2011 Skarloey
2004 Rheneas
N.W. Brakevan
1994 Fat Controller’s car
2009 Kevin
2013 Bulstrode
Wellsworth station
Original suspension bridge
Pig shed
2008 Rumblin' Bridge
Duck pond crossing
Shark food delivery
Sodor aquarium set
Knapford bridge figure 8 set
Here's my list
10-Catherine - Looks weird and bizarre
9-2003 Stepney - His face is kinda ugly and he looks fat
8-2000 Bertram - He has no tender
7-2016 Ashima - Lack of detail
6-Tidmouth Timberyard - Very small and cheap looking
5-Volcano Deluxe Set - Dosen't functions very well
4-2011 James - Ugliest wooden railway face ever
3-Thomas and the Snowman Car - Based on a horrible episode and the snowman is tall and attached to the flatbed
2-The Bubble Loader - Looks gimmicky, dosen't comes with a car and you can easily lose that one cargo piece
Honorable mentions: 2013 Bulstrode (Very ugly and small), Lead Paint items Lead Paint? IS LEARNING CURVE STUPID?), 2011 Diesel 10 (Ugly happy face), Henry and the Elephant Set (It's just a boring circle), 2008 Culdee (Kinda fat)
1-2004 RHENEAS - I MEAN WHAT IS THIS?! WHITE WHEELS, SIR HANDEL'S FACE, I MEAN IT'S UGLY! WORST WOODEN RAILWAY ITEM EVER!!!
Request:the best thomas and friends take along's and take n play's
Hey trevor just for a small talk Henry in the railway series did have a folwler tender so I guess they tried to do an rws henry
2:29 Oh my God!!! IT SCARY!!! 😭😭😭😭
Great job! Commenting on my gaming channel! Lol. Yea that bubble loader is the worst haha
@@TrevortheTrainFan do you give it a 1/10 stars for the bubble ladder since you only think you like about it is the nice detail of it?
I don’t have a least favorite TWR item.
Some of the worst TWR models IMO would be:
1. Ryan because he’s basically a recolor of Thomas
2. Ashima because she’s too short
3. Blocky Spamcan because like you said, his face has curves while his body is blockish
4. Kevin because he’s too long
i own 2005 james from the lead paint crisis
Great video u guess ith is my favorite
And also 2005 CULDEE I THINK HE IS A SOLID MODEL KEKRE 24 THINKS SO TOO
No surprise the Bubble Loader would be there.
That old Chinese dragon looks pretty generic but not as bad as that old mike from 2001 I believe? I don’t know it’s been a long time.
I think the original Mike looks better than the 2015 version because it makes him look a little longer.
I use to have that old mike when I was kid but I lost his tender because I was dumb
@@lennymarroquin You're not dumb, you just made a mistake. Heck, I once had an Ertl Culdee for Christmas when I was like 4, but I lost it at preschool because I didn't know what I was thinking (and for some reason, I didn't cry about it). Thankfully, I bought a new one at Boone, Iowa years later.
Do a top ten childhood shows video.
Suppose the original 90s were the worst because the paintwork was unreliable
The 90s weren't all bad. There are actually a LOT of good ones from that decade such as the original 1999 Flying Scotsman.
1:38 1:42 1:49 1:54 2:02 I think the old style diesel 199 should work for Bear so any fans of Thomas that has this version of diesel 199 could pretend that one is bear since it kind of looks like bear in his older blue colours anyways instead of diesel 199, I don’t have that version, but I have both the second one from 2005 and the third one from 2013 and I use the 2013 version as bear.
what does S.O.L. mean?
what does SOL mean
@@TrevortheTrainFan oh ok. well in that case shouldnt it have double "oo"
The 1996 D199 looks like the Fell diesel.
He also resembles D7101/Bear. Also why he was popular custom choice for the latter.
hi trevor I got some news They making wooden trailway 2022 henry, toby, emily, kenji and more sets cool I'm exticed I hope they make more characters like rosie, duck, donald and douglas, oliver, toad, bulgy, ryan, bertie, trevor, salty, den and dart, stanley, many more some narrow guage engines like skalroey, rheneas, sir handel, rusty, duncan, luke and also victor and millie too and also more loctians and sets what do you think?
I also heard they are making Kana, Sandy and Carly (engine) unfortunately. But I DO hope Kenji will be in his original BWBA attire. And yeah, I also hope they release the other ones you've said like Donald, Douglas, Bulgy, Ryan, etc. In addition, they are already releasing Red Rosie for TWR 2022, which I'm planning to get btw.
@@TrevortheTrainFan Ikr it would be cool plus I have somerhing I want to tell you
@@TrevortheTrainFan well trevor i have couple of times to say one do you know ultratrain from age well i think he's based on milwaukee road class a what do you think even i still hated age as well as everyone else
@@isaiahrodriguez896 To me, Ultratrain looks like a recolor of Vinnie but with added features and lack of tender. And to be quite honest, I think the two characters Ultratrain and Trainiac could work in the original series IF they are fictional characters in universe (just like with Reptar from the Rugrats).
Do you want to know what LegoLover117 said about Lady?
@@TrevortheTrainFan Well, he streams monthly and I usually attend it and me and the other people in the chat were asking his girlfriend Thomas questions and someone asked who the first female steam engine was and she said Emily. LegoLover117 said that was right so I had to correct that answer with Lady and then LegoLover117 said he forgets Lady exists because she's in TATMR.
What’s S.O.L?
At least these items are better than Thomas Wood!
3:45 but makes him look more like a black 5 like his basic but i respet your opinion
What nooooo the booble loader good!!@@@@!!!@!!@@!!!!1!1!1!1
2:34 what happened here!!!?!?!?!?
the 2013 item is bad because its not accurate to the flyingn scottsman in the cgi series that came out in 2015???
Actually, the Flying Scotsman wasn't reintroduced to the show until 2016 starting with the Great Race.
@@TrevortheTrainFan either way still goes against ur argument that the flying scottsman doesnt hav a cgi rendition
4:00 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
do you like take n play?
@@TrevortheTrainFan If I'm honest with you, Trevor. As a child, Take Along was my favorite Thomas Toy Brand.
Fifth person watching this!
idea: take a sip of beer every time the bubble loader is mentioned
I think culdee looks nice☹
@@TrevortheTrainFan because you put him on the top 10 worst thomas wooden railway items. But I do realize that this is in opinion
James is Here is now crying because you hated on the bubble loader
(On his channel he has a joke where he sarcastically pretends to love this item lol)
A bit surprised that the Up and Around Sodor 5-in-1 set isn't on the list
What's wrong with the Up & Around Sodor 5-in-1 Set? I thought it was okay.
@@TrevortheTrainFan I respect your opinion on the set but personally, I think there are better sets. The layouts are so small that the tracks are put in so much tension, and the bridge's plastic is cheap (or at least, for the LC/TOMY version)
personally I would say not to beat down so hard on the ashima modules because ashima has a lot of detail and trying to make that out of wood and paint would be very hard and too expensive.
hi i love you
Boo I don’t think you under stand that it’s a release which is a updated version of original character if you want one with all these add one is it really a release this is for flying Scotsman also how the heck do you take problem with this model train out of all the rest of the choices make sense thoug👍🏼
You put Flying Scotsman in your dishonorable mentions but your reasoning is because he doesn't have a cgi face? The reissue was in 2013 and Great Race came out in 2016. This is an unfair criticism. Any other complaints of this toy can go to the 99 one.
Well, hopefully he’ll be re-released in the newer Wooden Railway format with a CGI face.
I also want to point out that when I looked at the Bubble Loader destination, I think it look waaaaaaaaaaaaay too unrealistic in my eyes.
