A mistake was made describing the roll dice phase. dice values are not added together, but evaluated separately (ie. at 5:49 the d20 would give 4 action points, and the 2 d6 would each give 1 action point) you would add together the action points gained. so she should start with 6 action points, not 5. everything else is pretty simple, and well described.
I thought it was going to be advice... like always carry a dice and a meeple with you, so if you are in danger of death you can play something before your last gasp.
I feel like having a round played in real time or something would make the format clearer? sometimes my monkey brain can't connect the words unless in action
A while back, to celebrate the release of Mortal Kombat 1, Critical Role released a stream in which cast members used Til the Last Gasp as the base system for fighting each other as Mortal Kombat characters. That might be a solid starting point if you’d like.
I was like “this is way too complex for a short 2 player game. I’ll never play this.” Then I proceeded to watch Scott continue to talk for 8 more minutes.
I really need to find a friend to force into this, it's such a cool idea and concept but most of my IRLs would be too pushed back to really get into the RP in person. Hopefully in the future it might pop up online or in Tabletop Simulator for some of my digital dnd buddies or fatecore friends.
This game was pretty fun, my fiance and I decided to randomly roll an armor class + health value with the d20 to spice things up and it made it waaaaay more fun :)
This sounds like a good way to introduce TTRPGs and story crafting for beginners.
Can’t wait to try this! Thanks for the breakdown
I wanna see Matt Mercer duel Taliesin Jaffe. I think I'd understand the game better with some game play
I just wanna see that regardless, oh my god those guys are great

Ha!
LMAO, like a guide about bringing food and water, setting up medical equipment, and playing till you literally expire.

I would watch her read a spreadsheet.

Me as well
Scott should do business training videos.
@@timvu8442 people would enjoy training videos instead of loathing them.
Interesting! Also, good editing and graphics inserts.

This game has nice advice for communicating in relationships.
Becca, love ur set/background for this!!
super fun

Wanted to watch this before watching the one-shot..... I have no idea what's happening still. xD
My order will be here soon! Can't wait to try it out
Question about the locations. Do you move locations at the end of a round, or does something else trigger it?
Action points to move I believe
2:02 😳
5:36 oh no not root again. The rules say in bold Do Not add them together
fluorinated ahh ahh
my very "mature" mind cant help but giggle every time she says edge dice
Keep expecting Tatyana's accent when she speaks.
That they like *most*.
Why can't we plan to the pain?
That would be covered under "to the Defeat"
@@peterk822 I disagree to the pain of much more (see The Princess Bride for further details)
@@BrianGerken Oh, in that sense. This game is for duels, not torture, though I guess the outcome would effectively be "to exile"
Not too interested in this one. Game doesn't vibe with me.
