I brought the JBL first and that thing is a beast but because The vocals are not adjustable and were a little low I returned it and decided that after spending 900. Dollars what the heck might as well go all the way and brought the 950T on sale at BB.1,499 (it’s expensive) and I can say it’s the best money I’ve ever spent worth every penny it’s in my bedroom with my new LGCX 55 inch it’s better than being at the movies.I did get some rear speaker cut offs sometimes when watching certain Netflix shows but lately no issues if you buy one I think you’ll be happy if not return it All Bluetooth wireless speaker systems encounters periodic loss of signals some more than others.I also so own 2 Yamaha’s 4000,and 1000 YSP sound bars and a Bose 321.still working after all these years quality’s products let’s see how long this Samsung lasts Lol.

Hey There :) You know I have to say they are both great. The one thing that really surprised me was how good Samsung is. A few years ago I knew they just made dishwashers, fridges, and TV's. They have come a long way!!!!

I think you should really like it. There are systems with more bass, that’s the one complaint I hear, but I think the bass is fine. Just put the sub in the corner. The best thing is it is very immersive and I haven’t found anything. That really beats it. Those rear speakers make all the difference !! I think you will be very satisfied:)
@@GarageKing right, I seen the same thing. But I heard the “A” has a lil but more bass than the “T”. The rear surrounds also have an extra speaker on it. But with these extra drivers, I hope it’s not faulty. I also have a Sony tv. Do you have problems since you didn’t have a Samsung tv?
had the q80r, made the jump to the 950t, returned it. the subwoofer is not the same as the q80r and it is the key component to any system, so when the sub is not good the sound is not good no matter how many channels you have.
Sorry you had that experience, I actually turn my sub down a bit on the 950T II have it in a corner which is best for sub placement) I'm not sure why you found such a big difference, as they are both 8" ,both have the same power, and have the same type of enclosure? Maybe it's something with the software, as the subs are wireless, and take their marching orders from the sound bar.
@@GarageKing ah well thats good. However, there have been reviews and comments regarding the 950ts bass as weaker and not as booming and i cant agree more. I could never go past -3 on my q80r. I had to hit higher than 0 to get anything from 950t. I tried two separate unite btw.
@@garretts431 NO worries brother, I glad you got the one that works for you, that's important as you have to be happy with your purchase. I know there was a software update to the 950 so I'm not sure of the production date of the one you listened to?? That's part of the problem with all this new equipment. Back in the day you bought an amplifier, and that was that, now when they do software updates they can change the frequency response etc. and can make it sound like a different machine. The biggest difference between the Q80 and Q950T is that the 950 has those rear speakers which also fire upwards, for me I would give up bass for that, but everyone is different, and it depends on what type of movies you watch. For you it works and thats great. Samsung has just announced a HW-Q950A, its an 11.1.4 and its suppose to have room EQ to set itself up. It will most likely be the best sound bar yet, but we will have to wait and see how it all plays out. Hey Buddy, thanks for the comment and I could tell you were watching the vid closely. That box, if its what I'm thinking you saw is the sub that I put behind the TV !! All that is behind the TV is the sub and the power distribution bar.

I have had the odd issue, but I just close and re-open the app. I did have an issue once with it not working but it was because I change the Wifi. We have two routers and your phone should be on the same network as the sound bar. At least for me
Thanks for the comment!!! Didn't know that, I did some research and it appears it was announced at an event. Its an 11.1.4 which is really good. That tells me it will have the two rear speakers, one sub, and it may have more speakers in the soundbar, unless it can utilize the existing ones for the two additional channels. The only thing is we don't know when it will be released (2021 or 2022 or maybe never) The official word from Samsung is the HWQ 950T is still current, so this new one may not come in the same iteration as what was displayed at the show. Kind of like SEMA with cars. Manufactures show off their stuff and sometimes release "similar" versions of what they show. The other thing is price and availability. In Canada where I am, the MSRP is over $2000 on the HWQ950T. I was able to get it for 1399 CAN which is about 930USD. Now the cheapest I can find is on Amazon for 1599, which is still cheap. I don't know how much more this new Sound Bar will be, but it will probably be stuck at the 2K mark. So for me I'm glad I bought the HWQ950T, as the price was great. Maybe in a year or two I would consider the HWQ-950A for another room if it goes on sale, but I would not pay 2K for it. I wonder how long it will take for Samsung to release it???? So if they can keep the price reasonable then it will probably be good. @@Jack-ub3jl The Q90R is a really good unit and I was going to get it as well when they were clearing them out at Visions. The Problem I ran into was on Black Friday, I was able to get the Q950T for the same price as the 90R, so I was really at a cross road. The 90R was 1399 and the 950T was 1499, and I wasn't going to pay the extra 100 for the 950T, but then it went to 1399 so I was like crap, they are both the same price!!!!! So I spoke with a Samsung Rep (not a salesman) and he told me the 950T was all sorted out (it had earlier pairing problems) and he was right as mine performs flawlessly. Now remember Samsung OWNS Harmon/Kardon. So I believe they used the best in the Q950T. As with most electronics, they keep getting better. So that's why I got the 950T. I figured for the same price as the 90R I had to. Now this new one (950A) will be better, but I'm not paying 2K for it. I don't think there are many 90R's left so grab one if you can, but if you have to pay close to a 950T I would get the 950T. They are both really good, and the 90R is a killer sound bar!!!
I hear you brother, but I wanted the soundbar 1st, and wanted to do the review right away. I got full Atmos from the soundbar as I used an Apple 4K box, ran that to the soundbar 1st, and then output from the soundbar to the TV. The TV has been replaced and is an LG 65" C1 OLED, which is a big step up in picture quality :)
The Q950A will have two more speakers in the sound bar, but I'm not sure if its worth the premium. You are going to pay a lot more for the 950A so its really up to you, but the 950T performs very well and will be discounted once the 950A starts flowing into stores as they will want to clear out the 950T. The rear speakers and sub are the same, and the rear speakers is where you get that really immersive sound so I'm not sure how much better the 950A will do. If the price is close, go for the 950A, but I have a suspicion there will be a big price difference and in that case if it were me I would go for the 950T. It is really up to you and it depends on how deep your pockets are :)

Anyone have issues with the smart things app. I am unable to change the input back to earc. I can change it to hdmi and bluetooth but not back to earc
