I remember this sister , ( sana subhani) I went to school with her at Collin county community college in Texas . I believe the year was 2012-2013 or 2013- 2014 . I had the sister in my A&P 1 and A&P 2 class. I remember. The Muslim sister sat right in front of me . I remember every time the sister would see me in the hallways, she would always smile at me , but it took me a awhile to realize that the sister that smiles at me in the hallways sits right in front of me . But I never spoke to the sister , never had a reason to . As the second semester came about , the young sister would go outta of her way again to get my attention . She actually introduced herself to me . Then throughout the semester, the sister would tell me random things about herself without me asking . The sister told me she graduated from UTD, or that she had two brothers , or that she moved to Texas from California or that she was planning to become a physician assistant, all this without me asking . But I just took it as if someone is trying to be cool with me , or get familiar with me. I’m a very private and focused individual, I never ask anyone about their personal life neither do I like anyone asking about mine . Anytime I was in the science portion of the library, the sister would come sit next to me and try to get me to converse. The sister asked me one time what is it that I do for a living . I told her I worked in a restaurant. The truth was that I was one of the owners of the restaurant plus I also owned two trucking and repair shops in Dallas. It’s important to stay humble in life , specially for me . All I had and have is due to the blessings of the most high most merciful Allah talla, Wahguru. I came to this country by myself at the age of nine to live with my uncle in Queens, New York. I worked hard and competed and won the golden glove championship in the tri-state area . I was the only desi, Punjabi to compete. In my high school year I moved to Texas. I graduated top of my class along with getting an athletic scholarship in track and field. I also graduated from college at the top of my class , along with competing in sports and working . When I went to college with the sister , I was completing my science requirements so I could get into medical school, while having three business. Now I’m a medical doctor and also own ten business now , all by the grace of Allah . One of the classmates came to me and said that girl who’s always talking to you is saying negative things about you . The classmate over heard the girl said look he carries himself like he’s cool but works in a restaurant. The sister didn’t know me from a hole in the wall , plus you never pass judgement on anyone based on their occupation. But I took no offense, I knew the sister was misguided and foolish. Plus the classmate told me that she also had a fiancé. After that I would just avoid or try to ignore the sister whenever she would greet me. Later she started to pass rumors about me . She went far as saying I followed her around or that I thought I was cool. I’ve never so much as even asked her name , she introduced herself to me and told me random facts about her life . I didn’t understand why someone with a fiancé would be so emotionally invested in me to the point she would go on a smear campaign about me. It’s ok, all is Allahs blessings on me . Now I’m A doctor, with 10 business plus in the process of building orphanages, libraries, and gyms in Punjab India and Pakistan. My life has always been in the service of other . The young sister proved her self to be unethical and attention seeking , someone with a limited lifestyle. God made me 6’1, 220 pound man . The truth always comes to light . I wish nothing but peace and love on the young sister , I pray that she may follow the deen, set forth by the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him . Ameen.
