In this video I demonstrate the power of my free rack called the Seed to Stage Digital Preamp. And to celebrate the channel reaching 100,000 subscribers, im giving it away for free! The idea behind this rack is to control and color your tracks without having to get stuck in the weeds and slowing down. Inside there are multiple devices such as EQ Eights, Utilities, Compressors, Multiband Compressors, and Saturators all working together to massage any signal into shape. You can FLY with this device mixing on the fly making it so you can achieve a state of flow.

Thank you S2S! I'd say 90% of the (useful) things I've learned about Ableton and production in general have come off your channel. Its always digestible, and your enthusiasm is so infectious. Hey man, first time to comment on your video's, but have been a lurker for a very long time, you have got to be the best teacher on UA-cam. You have such a great way with presenting things as a listener would be thinking about your topic. I appreciate your gentle nature and how it feels you genuinely just want people to better themselves.
With that said, I use the Push 3 Standalone to write what I called "Happy Hours" where I take about an hour to start from a blank project and create an idea that I can later throw onto my MacBook and expand on. This tool will help me get a quick mix together so that I don't have to keep adding devices to get something musical going and keep moving. I love all those native racks you use and will be excited to see what you come up with Live 12!

Great rack! You can map the device on/off button to the macros and then set the minimum to 1. This means when the dial is at 0, the device is turned off and using zero CPU. The device turns on only when you turn a dial. Handy if you ever want to use some more CPU hungry VST's in a rack.

Just a thought. Your preamp does remove a little bit of the low sub of your kick there. My suggestion is to turn off the pre low cut when the knob is all the way to the left. It is pretty easy to do in your rack. This way you won't loose the very low end in kicks/basses. You might say you don't need the low 20 hz or below, but it could make a difference when you play your music in club.

thanks this is generous of you. I like this guy's videos. I probably wouldnt use this preamp tho. since I wanna see where I am saturating exactly and I wouldt wanna see where i am clipping , I wouldnt use the width without knowing what exactly doing to the phase and i literally bought all these plugins just to see what I am doing :( but i will recommend this to people. agan thanks this is generous.

Congratulations on the milestone ! I did try to install the preamp but was not showing up in my user folder browser (Im in Monterey) until I added the ".adg" suffix, which did not appear after unzipping...just in case that helps someone else.Thanks again.

Thank you so much for all the knowledge and this rack. I Couldnt seem to get it to work. it looks like it unzips proper then it goes to a blank page, without the device icon inside like normal
try to add ".adg" at the end of the file. Seems to be an issue with the zipping process. I also uploaded the file again if you'd like to download it again.

Hey, loved your vid, for some reason it won't let me import the rack in the daw. I have ableton 11 and all the other racks I've used have always worked smoothly, this one for some reason is giving me problems, it says "Only audio effects can be placed in this kind of track", anybody got a fix? (adding .adg still didn't make it work)
tried adding it to Ableton 11. It says preset might be broken. any ideas why it is happening for me?

I thought it would be something complicated but it's just bringing Ableton's stock effects into a box by renaming them. Nothing fancy about it. I was expecting at least one macro to carry two different knobs but they prepared pretty lazily imo. But at least it gives a great idea about how don't we create a rack of most used plugins and template it.
You're conflating the implied need for something to be complicated to be effective / useful. There are many cases in this rack where there are more than one mappings per knob such as the clipper. Also its putting all the long chain of effects into one quick interface. Not sure what the complaint is, the rack is free. You are also implying that ableton stock plugins are mids when in fact they sound great and in many cases are better than bought plugins. They just don't look as compelling, but we are into sound not sight.
I love you man, I'm just a hard person to go along with, my bad, lol. You're right, it's free as you said but technically not when you make a video about it for more than 20 mins, that's where you earn money out of this rack and I have a right to say it was prepared lazily. And I didn't want to criticize stock plugins there, I just wanted to say it's that much easy-made, one macro controls one knob, you know there are mindblowing racks and after getting used to those crazy mofos, these things come too simple. I just interpreted as I saw, nothing bad about you. I really love your personality that you show and the videos you made, I was just expecting more, that's it friend. @@SeedtoStage
