Thank you!! When I was editing I kept thinking "Erin, shut up, no one wants to hear you ramble." LOL. I would love to do more chatty videos in the future!
OMG I can not express how important a will and end of life directive is!!!! My mother made a will, but never signed it nor notarized it and it took us 8k and a year to get her estate into our names. And this was a non contested will, me and my sister knew what our mother wanted. She does unexpectedly and I can not explain how hard it was to grieve and heal whole dealing with lawyers, upkeep of her house, she had IRAs and stock from retirement ugh what a nightmare it was. You should for sure share some stories just to promote the importance. I'm a animal lover, I have 6 cats, 1 dog and a bunny. I did cat rescue for 10yrs, but we got overwhelmed with COVID kitties and had 50 at one point. I now only foster but I'm always trying to save all the cats 😂 I try to share the importance of spaying and neutering. There is nothing wrong with buying from a breeder, I usually would say adopt, but you've got to be fair to the ones already there and I can see why you've decided to not adopt. I hope you find a good property, in Florida it's getting harder as far as we keep growing. I'm in Tampa and it is getting crazy.
Oh goodness, I am so sorry you and your sister had to go through all of that. You hit the nail on the head, you should have had time to grieve, but instead you were dealing with paperwork and lawyers. 50 cats?! WOW!! We have cats that live in the woods around us and I would love to get them trapped and spayed, but no rescue or animal control that will come help with trapping even when I offered to pay for the vet care. Our old boy that I won't show, he had complications from not being neutered by his prior people, but we got him taken care of with a few surgeries. There are more health benefits to spaying and neutering beyond population control, like avoiding cancers later in the dog's life. I was born and raised in Tampa (my family still lives there), and I can't believe how much it is being built up since we moved to north FL. There is a whole lot more property up here for sure!! It's hard because people are either selling small lots or 50+ acres, but nothing in between, and unfortunately we did not win the Powerball 😂
I'm older than you and still get those hormonal breakouts too. Awe, Simon was so beautiful. We lost our Hans in 2020 from a very aggressive cancer and he was only 7 years old. Awe, I love that your chihuahua bossed around your shepherds! My MinPins totally bossed around Hans. OMG did you get the names from Firefly?! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! That show ended way too soon. I appreciated the Serenity movie, but I needed more of the show. Inara sounds just like my Jaeger. He is 3 years old and just nothing but pure energy and sass. I think you need a dog named YoSaffBridge. 🤣 So funny that you don't want to be pregnant at 40, most people wouldn't. I had my 1st of 3 kids 15 days after I turned 40, then my 2nd at 42 and my 3rd on my 44th birthday. Love the finished eye look!
My jaw and neck are breaking out so bad right now. The sugar from Halloween didn’t help. Little Bit passed before we got Inara, but I always wonder how they would have treated each other (like two snakes in a pit, I’m sure). My husband introduced me to Firefly when we first started dating and we love watching it to this day. It’s so hard when dogs pass when they are young. I’m sorry you lost your Hans. Simon was my Velcro dog and driving him to the emergency vet that night was the longest 45 mins of my life. Malcolm will be 12 this week and I know we are very lucky that he is in good health. I’m worried about our other boy Jayne, but we are doing our best to make sure he is loved and comfortable. The nugget coming home next week is named Wash. 😉 I hope he will play with Inara and take some of the rough play pressure off Mal. Bless you for having kids in your 40s! 😂 Brave woman!
My first dog was not a rescue (she’s a corgi) my second dog is a German shepherd that we got as a 1 year old and we rescued him from a bad home situation from someone 🥰 I want another dog but I understand the complicated situation with the current pack members and I totally get what you mean!
I love that you took a GSD out of a bad situation. And Corgi’s are so cute!!!! My hubby and I know that in a few short years, our old men pups will cross the rainbow bridge and we can reevaluate our pack and see about adopting/rescuing at that point. He would love to give a military working down a home, but again, we have to be aware of the reactivity of our female when it comes to any other pup coming in. ❤️
I love your personality! You seem so thoughtful and down-to-earth. Would love more chatty videos like this. ❤ Also, love how the eye look turned out!
