Why is it just fekr konam and not fekr mi-konam in the example at 4:06?

My guess is because there is uncertainty and so it becomes subjunctive. اما مطمئن نيستم

In spoken Persian you can also say "fekr konam" as a shorter form of "fekr mikonam" especially when you are guessing something.

'mano' is the informal, spoken form while 'maraa' is the formal standard one.
